"There's nothing wrong, Syl.", Veronica replied. "I was just surprised by your questions. I just kinda came out of nowhere." Veronica gave herself a moment before she said, "Actually, you're friend was pretty much correct on everything on human life except for sex, and I guess I can see why.", Veronica laughed.
"So, to answer your questions.", Veronica began. "Genitals are human reproductive organs, they are used by humans to engage in sexual intercourse or activities. A penis is man's reproductive/sexual organ, while a vagina is a woman's. Humans, actually mammals in general, produce their eggs internally. So, after a child is conceived, it usually grows in the woman's uterus, a cavity inside her body, for about nine months, where she then pushes the child out of her body though her vagina. A painful yet beautiful process, actually."

At that moment Kiel appeared next to Syl, apparently and carefully masking its presence in case V was watching. It was laughing quietly, banging its fist against a nearby branch. Winds swirled around Veronica and Syl, which was a plain indication of Kiel's presence.
"And that's human sex education for you, Syl! It's really not off the mark compared with what I thought."
It leapt toward the other side of the branch, so that it now sat next to Veronica.
"And thanks for giving little Syl a crash course in human sex. I'm sure that it'll understand it, not knowing what the male penis looks like, unlike myself."
It laughed louder.
"I gotta thank you for looking after Syl in my absence. It's just too bad you can't see me."
To demonstrate that fact, Kiel waved its hand in front of Veronica's face. It laughed and slung a hand on her shoulder, humming happily to itself, before vanishing once again.
Syl chuckled.
"Now it's really starting to make sense!" it said gleefully, "sex is where humans ram their genitals into each other in order to fertilize an internally-produced egg. That eggs develops in the woman for nie months and the woman then gives a painful and beautiful birth! Am I right?"
It tugged on her sleeve again.
"Why are some babies male while others female? And do you remember giving birth? How painful was it?" Syl was briefly reminded of Sara, who was the daughter of the priestess, who was reincarnating in Veronica. It quickly pushed that thought out of its mind and continued asking questions.
"What do human newborns look like? Are they able to fend for themselves? How do you feed them?"

Veronica burst into laughter and replied, "That's pretty much it!"
Veronica sat on the grass as she listened to the rest of Syl's questions before replying, "\Sadly, I don't remember much about giving birth. All I remember was what I felt after. I remember holding Sara in my arms and just looking at her, and feeling this sudden rush of inner peace. It was beautiful. I don't think I've felt anything like it since."
Veronica rose as she continued, "Newborns are usually covered in blood and placental fluid. They wouldn't really be able to fend for themselves until their late teenage years. A newborn child is usually breastfed by the mother."
Its surprised Veronica for a moment, how she switched between her memories as the Priestess and her own... It was amazing.

Syl took in the information.
"Huh. That makes sense, but... wasn't Sara the priestess's daughter? Does that mean you share memories?"
It looked downward.
"I find it kinda sad that human babies must be spoiled and watched constantly, but I suppose now I know the purpose of those things on your chest."
It sighed.
"It was different for me, but I don't remember it much."

"Yes, Sara was my daughter, in a matter of speaking. I do share memories with the Priestess, but its just coming so suddenly, that is almost overwhelming to take."
"I find it kinda sad that human babies must be spoiled and watched constantly, but I suppose now I know the purpose of those things on your chest."
Veronica laughed again as she replied, "Pretty much!"
Veronica noticed the difference in Syl's tone as it said, "It was different for me, but I don't remember it much."
Veronica placed her arms around Syl's shoulder and asked, "How so?"

Syl looked down.
"I... was able to move by myself early on, and I had safety in numbers."
It smiled ruefully, fighting the block in its mind that attempted to prevent it from saying anything more. Nonetheless, Syl managed to keep it at bay and continued on in a low voice.
"I would prefer it if you don't tell this to the others, but... I am one of a total of thirty-seven siblings. When we were young we used to play together a lot... and some of the ones that were already grown up used to watch us and keep a look out for those that would wish to hunt us down..."

'I dont have a story to tell, Arqus.' V stood up. He started walking away.
'Til i see you again'.

"Yeah..." Arqus uttered, looking sideways at V's departing form.
Still sitting down, he hunched forward, resting his elbows on his thighs. There was something strangely familiar about V and he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He'll find out.
"What's with the obsession Arqus?" Bremmen spoke suddenly.
"What are you talking about?"
"You're thinking about this V character far too much." The demon explained.
"I'm not." He stood up, he turned around. V was nowhere to be seen.
Arqus started walking up the stairs towards the church again.

"Don't worry, Syl.", Veronica said reassuringly. "Its safe with me. That's sounds really sweet. You must have been a happy bunch. If I can ask, what were your parents like?"

Syl shrugged.
"I don't remember that much. It used to sing us lullabies when it came time to rest. I don't know that much, but it seemed nice enough."
It closed its eyes. Slowly but surely, one of those lullabies crept its way into Syl's mind, calming it, making it smile... its story enthralling it to keep listenting
"I still remember some of them," it said gently, "they were beautiful."

Veronica smiled as she asked, "Care to hum it?"

Syl closed its eyes. There was a momentary silence as it took a deep breath... and then... it started to sing in its native language.
Syl's native language sounded nothing human - more like pure, free and haunting sounds that were constantly played against each other, like echoes on a wall, in an endless melody that wove a story. The sound was as high pitched as that of a transverse flute, and even resembled it somewhat. It was haunting, mysterious, even beautiful, in a way. It conveyed the full extent of Syl's emotions - sadness, happiness... and a sense of foreboding...
<Ere eons ago, everyone was destined for something great,>, began Syl, <a part in a cohesive whole, a part of the world down below the heavens, the mountains where air was thin and winds were great... discord came, a blight upon the land, down below the heavens...
<On a highborn cliff, there was a little child born, twins kept kept watch as it grew, destined for great things. One the eve of its blooming, it was there summoned; 'bring us a rare gem' said the elders. 'prove your worth.'>*
The song soon spread to the rest of the courtyard as Syl gained confidence.
<So the child went out. It hunted down the gem; took it to to the elders and stood before them in full height. 'Here is the gem' it said, 'what you would value. It is not rare in quantity but rare in usefulness. A good gift for high ones like you.' The elders whispered and fought against each other. 'Should we accept this gift?' they demanded each other 'to each its own, there is no answer, yet many at once.'>
Syl thought that it was doing fairly well, considering that itwas making it up on the spot. The rythms and melody was similar to the actual lullaby, but as Syl didn't remember the lyrics, it made up its own. Unfortunately it barely knew what it was doing.
<Ere eons ago, everyone was destined for something great, a part in a cohesive whole, a part of the world down below the heavens, the mountains where air was thin and winds were great... discord came, a blight upon the land, down below the heavens...
<Yet, the child was not easily swayed. It bargain with the leaders, it did, asked them questions for answers. When it was satisfied, it explained that it understood that the elders were all separated in cause and dream. That that gem was a human symbol for unity, because of trade and use rather than rarity. That was rare for a gem to unite two kingdoms; a rare gift indeed. A gift of unity. The elders now agreed, and passed the child, who was destined for great things...>
<They learned the lesson, didn't they? Made the proper improvements, made the proper procedures, made everything and everyone united as one cohesive whole, yet down below, unity was not to be. Blood spilled, humanity in pain, and the child felt sad, that it could do nothing to stop it. It risked its life to get that gem, and it had risked its one chance to teach that lesson... It felt sad for humanity, and returned to it once again...>
<Ere eons ago, everyone was destined for something great, a part in a cohesive whole, a part of the world down below the heavens, the mountains where air was thin and winds were great... discord came, a blight upon the land, down below the heavens...>
Syl continued on, telling the story of the child, expressing how it wanted unity, the sadness that down below, it was not to be, the happiness that the elders realized the message, but the foreboding that discord was to come again, with deadly consequences...

* Note: Syl's native language already sounds somewhat like a song when spoken naturally, so their 'lyrics' whenever they bother to write them down are usually in prose form. What is written here is a rough translation from what Syl's really singing, although to Veronica and anyone else not familiar with its species, it doesn't sound like there are lyrics at all. Also consider that Syl made them up on the spot, so it doesn't have the same quality that a pre-written and edited song has.
The musical nature of Syl's language probably come from its association with the wind element, which in turn is also associated with birds, which are in turn associated with sound.

Veronica looked at Syl as she replied, "That sounded beautiful. Granted, I didn't quite understand what you were saying. The rhythm, texture, and tone was beautiful.
Veronica looked back at the Church as she replied, "What do you say we re-group with the others?"
