Maz grabbed a long jacket from one of the stands and handed it to Rosa, who in turn offered it to Karashi.
"You'll freeze if you just lay there. Cover yourself with this and let us help you up." Rosa said kindly, slightly concerned about Karashi's sudden fainting spell.

Karashi looked at Syl weakly. "Illness...........worse............" She collapsed, falling into unconsciousness.

"Miss Karashi!" yelled Syl.
It instinctively grabbed the coat from Rosa and wrapped Karashi in it, before putting on its own long coat. Syl felt slightly strange not wearing it. it must have been because it was a part of it, technically speaking, so losing it meant losing a part of itself.
Syl looked at her sadly.
"Illness...?"
It looked at her, wishing silently that it had the power to heal. Memories came back to it, especially those of Asarek... That angel, he was often weak and sickly himself, but survived through a combination of sheer willpower and his knowledge of medicine. He might have been able to heal her if given the right equipment, but he obviously wasn't here now.
Syl now wished that Animus had a lot of the rare plants it had become familiar with in the past... maybe they could help...
It now held her close to it.
"Miss Karashi..." it whispered. "Miss Karashi..."

Rosa and Maz both looked at Syl cradling Karashi with concerned expressions, unsure of what to do next. If they were in a hospital then Maz would have had the right equipment and supplies to do something about this. Currently all they had was a few things they had picked up at the pharmacy a few blocks away.
"This could help." Mazrin said, holding out a small bottle, along with a syringe. "Anti-biotics, it'll fight off any infection she may have, although I'm not sure how effective it will be if this is something other than an infection.
Rosa and Mazrin exchanged a knowing look of concern between them, a look that nobody else would realize was something more than a simple look. Rosa tapped Syl on the shoulder.
"I'm going to need you to lie Karashi down if we're going to inject these into her system."

Syl nodded and backed away from Karashi. It looked concerned for her. On one hand, it was grateful for their assistance, on the other it wondered why they would carry so many medical things. They were part-demons, after all. Syl doubted why they would need anything other than bandages and anitbiotics, not syringes. Ah, well. Looks like it would have to cope with yet another mystery.
It looked at Karashi, its hands clasped.
"Please, let's hope this works."

Karashi wasn't responding at all. She was still shaking, even more so now than before, and she was sweating up a storm. It was only a matter of time........

Rosa crouched beside Karashi, the anti-biotics and syringe in hand. She hesitated, before looking up at Maz, her face clearly stating she could do with some help, even if it was hidden behind a grin.
"You'd better take this, you know I'm hopeless at finding the right vein."
Mazrin nodded and crouched down beside Rosa, taking the anti-biotics and syringe from her hands. He picked up a nearby belt and tied it tightly around Karashi's right arm, making it easier to pinpoint the right vein. After a few seconds he had found exactly the vein he was looking for, as well as filled the syringe with the anti-biotics. Slowly he injected it into Karashi's arm, into a vein that he knew would allow it to flow through the body quickly and fight any infection that may be attacking her systems.
"Now we wait." Mazrin said, looking at Rosa and Syl.

Karashi stopped shaking, and her sweating stopped. Her rapid breathing returned to normal. She coughed a bit, but was then silent. Her skin returned to normal, and she immediately went into her wolf form.

Neither Rosa or Mazrin looked particularly shocked when Karashi changed. They had both suspected something when they had seen the tail and they'd had experience with almost every kind of supernatural or paranormal being there was.
"You sure that was anti-biotics?" Rosa jokingly asked Maz, unable to keep the words to herself when they popped into her head.
"Yes. I believe she is a shapeshifter." Maz answered, looking at the wolf in front of them. "The anti-biotics will possibly have calmed her nervous system enough that the changed just happened without her knowing."

Syl glanced at Rosa and Mazrin with curiosity. Apparently they also had knowledge of the supernatural. This was apparently an interesting fact for Syl. If it displeased them, then they would be rather vicious enemies. It was a good rthing to Syl that they had no knowledge of its abilities... other than the ability to piece together truly ridiculous outfits.
"Interesting," said Syl, as it sat down beside her, "I'm glad that she's alright."
It looked up Rosa and Mazrin.
"Whatever you gave her, it worked," it said, and then cocked its head. "Um... I'm curious though... what was in that syringe? A magic potion?"

Karashi stirred, and her eyes fluttered open. She looked at the three and smiled her best wolf smile. 'Thank you........All of you..........' She felt a lot better now, thanks to the antibiotics.

"Um... I'm curious though... what was in that syringe? A magic potion?"
Maz looked at Syl with surprise, unsure how anyone would have no knowledge of even the simplest of medicines. While they themselves had little need for the medicine themselves Maz found that even the simplest of medicine could be used to create powerful potions if you knew how to, which Maz undoubtedly did.
"Not at all, it was simply antibiotics, a compound chemically modified from original compounds found in nature to kill or inhibit the growth of bacteria."
"Um Maz, English for the poor kid." Rosa said with a small grin, knowing that Maz could often become a little detached.
"Oh right," Maz said turning back to Syl. "Simple human medicine."

Karashi pulled herself up onto the seat and wrapped the jacket around herself. She looked up at the three, frowning, guilt written all over her face. "I'm sorry..........for all of the trouble I've caused........." She hung her head in shame.

Syl lifted up her head with one index finger and grinned happily at her.
"You have nothing to be ashamed about, miss Karashi!" it said, grinning, "just smile and be glad that we're here to help! We're all here for you, and we've done so willingly, so don't act ashamed for accepting our help! I love helping people."
Syl put its hand on her shoulder, looking at her straight in the eyes, still smiling.
"Don't let little things like this take you over," it said, "if this is an illness, don't blame yourself for it. Just let that pain out, and get back up on your feet and have fun! Miss Rosa and I picked out some really nice clothes for you, and it would be a real shame if you refused to try them on after we spent all that time searching for them."
There was a momentary silence.
Syl sighed, before going up to Karashi and hugged her gently, its grin now reduced to an awkward smile.
"So come on, miss Karashi. Cheer up.... Pretty please? With a big huge humungous big gi-enormous massive ultimately sweet mountain of the sweetest sugar in the universe on top?"

Rosa and Mazrin weren't entirely sure what to think of Karashi. She seemed nice enough but there was definitely something that they were not being told about and if there was one thing that Rosa despised more than anything in a person it was secrecy and lies. Mazrin wasn't fond of people keeping things to themselves either, but then again he wasn't overly worried about how other people viewed him or whether they considered him friends. His only goal was to keep his siblings safe.
Syl was an entirely different story. While Mazrin wasn't sold on him yet he did realize that Syl was a sincere individual and someone he would not have to worry about right now, although he would continue to analyze him so he could not be a problem in the future.
Rosa was becoming fond of Syl, almost to the degree that she considered him a friend. He was sincere and childish and easy to please. He found enjoyment in such trivial things as his happy go lucky nature didn't seem easily broken. She liked people who enjoyed life and who didn't treat everything with deadly seriousness and while she would continue to judge his movements for the immediate future, she felt like he was someone who she could trust, which was the most important thing to Rosa.
"There's some good clothes in there," Rosa said to Karashi cheerfully. "You'll be looking fashionable in no time."
