Daemon turned around and had spotted Lain, it was nice to see her even though he did a couple days ago. "Hey Lainie, what are you doing here?" He said still moving.

"Hey Lainie, what are you doing here?" Elain's ears twitched slightly as her back stiffened, how had she not even noticed that Daemon was there? Lainie? How she hated that nickname, it made her want to gag. She considered telling him to never call her that ever again, but she didn't want to come across as rude. So she just sighed and shrugged. "Walking.." What a stupid reply, but that's what I'm doing and to be honest i have no idea what i am actually doing here.. She thought as she continued to follow behind Syl.

Trace shot a glance back at the two individuals at the back of the group who refused to be quiet.
"If you insist on talking," Trace said in an impatient whisper, "Then do it quietly. We're trying to stay out of sight.
Trace turned away and focused on the path ahead. They'd be at the Station in a matter of minutes, but the danger was still very much real.

Johnny and Veronica payed little attention to the ramblings of Daemon and Lain.
The click of soldiers landing over the Animus streets pierced a wave through the city. From the distance, Lt. Aldo Buschemi noticed the residents quietly trailing the streets. Walking back, he waved the soldiers their way. "Remember.", Lt. Buschemi began. "We want little resistance as possible, so if the civilians choose to flee, take them down by forceful means. We're gonna show these Nazi's just who they can fuck with!"
Quickly passing the block, Johnny saw the armed soldier coming their way. He pointed his gun at them and began firing, Johnny quickly reached out for Veronica and crouched her down as he fired back at the soldier, getting a good shot across the chest.
Johnny grabbed Veronica's hand and said, "This is where we make a run for it!"

Klaire was sitting on a rooftop, legs dangling over the edge. She was breathing quietly, deep in thought about who she was, and what she was doing. Was there a point to living in Animus? What was the purpose? She wanted to be free to roam the world, not free to roam yet another prison. She held her hand in her heads, and she heard the cocking of a Thomson SMG as it brought itself against the back of her head.
Her hands tightened, and she felt adrenaline rush through her body.
"Say goodnight, Nazi son of a bitch," the soldier commanded. He pulled the trigger, but the bullet never left the barrel. A suit of hardened bone armor engulfed Klaire, and she turned around, her eyes darting between the soldiers who had landed behind her. She slowly walked up to them, ignoring the bullets ramming into her bone armor. She picked up the man behind her by the throat, snapping his neck to prevent blood. She then dashed between the remainder, quickly dispatching them in elaborate ways the prevented blood from spilling. She was still terrified of blood. Her bone armor retracted, and she grimaced as she felt a pain in the back of her head. She ran back to the edge of the building, picking up her briefcase and spreading her wings, jumping from the roof and into the skies above.

Daemon nodded at the sight of the people ahead of him running. Guess it was time to drop the get up considering it did not matter at the moment. He gracefully took off his trench and made his wings expand and went toward Johnny and Veronica acting as a human shield.

Phoebe, in fox form, caught sight of the soldiers who were going after the humans and their friends. Her tail flickered and she jumped from the roof, easily landing on her four paws, right in front of the soldiers. She wanted to play with them. she ran between their legs, weaving around them, through them, distracting them. She would purposely touch them, sending burning pain up their legs.
She could make anything feel her burn, even without bringing out her flames, with just a single touch, and she can control the heat on her body. She was always hot to the touch, but it depends on if she wanted to actually burn whoever she touched. Normally, it just felt like she had a fever.

"Perfect." Bremmen said delighted, after hearing gunshots.
"They could be innocent!" Arqus reminded Bremmen. "You can't just kill them!"
"No." The demon shot back, standing straight. "We agreed. I said one gunshot from them and I start killing."
Bremmen threw his right hand to his side and the translucent diamond scythe appeared. He clutched it hard in his hand as he started running in an opening. Behind him, his diamond wings materialized, it strecthed, flapped, with a single bound Bremmen was airbourne.
Some of the soldiers shot at him. Immediately, his entire body, including his robes turned diamond. The bullets bounced off him. He was a flying glistening figure made completely of organic diamond.
He flew higher and ignored the soldiers on the rooftops, he had his diamond blue eyes set on the soldiers falling from the sky with their parachutes.
"Blood will rain on Animus today dear Arqus." Bremmen mouthed with his diamond lips.
He released his glittering diamond scythe and held on to the translucent chain connected to the bottom of it. When he gained more altitude, he began swinging the chain, with the scythe spinning around with it. Slowly the chain and the scythe gained momentum. Bremmen was holding his right diamond arm up, as he continued spinning the weapon.
Whoever gets sucked in the whirl would meet decapitation.

Trace looked over the streets quickly, analysis the situation. He had always been gifted in tactical warfare, and finding an escape route was always a simple job for him. Trace pointed down a side street that would allow them to go around the oncoming soliders and come out just steps away from the Police Station.
"Head that way, we'll keep them occupied." Trace shouted at Johnny and Veronica, before running head first at several soldiers. He unsheathed his Crimson Katana blades and, while dodging enemy fire with rapid reflexes, plunged one of the blades into the stomache of an oncoming solider, before cutting the throat of another with the other blade.
"And we thought you may be a challenge."

Syl watched as some of the other residents began fighting the soldiers, still analyzing the situation - taking in how the other residents fought, especially Bremmen and Trace. I see Bremmen likes some... um.. fancy attacks, thought Syl. Trace though... He can dual-wield two katanas? Oh dear... either he is extremely skilled or extremely old and experienced and having way too much time on his hands. Or both. You don't see someone dual-wielding a sword that you usually fight with two-handed. Well, it can be used one handed but... Syl trailed off in this thoughts, interrupted as it narrowly dodged a bullet aimed for its head.
Despite the fact that they were shooting at them, Syl couldn't help but feel pity for them. Humans were sentient beings as well, and whoever was commanding these troops was sending them to die. Whatever soldier got within their reach would be slaughtered by the residents, especially those that were of the supernatural sort. Fools, thought Syl, run, hide, save yourselves! Can't you humans see that your comrades are getting slaughtered?!
Syl ran along behind Johnny and Veronica, nimbly dodging bullets the best it could. It sincerely hoped that it wouldn't get hit... It didn't feel pain from physical attacks, and the stress of the situation wasn't helping. Syl sighed. It hated showing off, but it now it had to protect Johnny and Veronica, Lain if possible.
At its mental command, an invisible wind shield formed around Syl, Johnny and Veronica, hopefully Lain if she was close enough. That would be enough to cause any incoming bullets to fly off course, leaving anyone inside unharmed. Syl turned toward the elf and gestured for her to follow it.
"Hurry, Lain!"

Klaire continued to fly through the sky, watching the seemingly endless hordes fall from the sky. Her frown only grew larger, and her hair flew wildly in the wind. Her face was pale in fright. She was going to have to spill blood, unfortunately. She shuddered at the sheer thought, almost crying. She was a very emotional person, as any onlooker could see.

Trace quickly dispatched of the soldiers around him. Another soldier came up behind him and cocked his gun, but before the soldier knew what happened Trace was already standing face to face with him. Trace plunged a Katana into the shoulder of the Soldier, before using the Soldier's own gun to shoot him in the kneecap. The soldier fell to the floor, and Trace knelt over him.
"Tell your leader that we shall not be defeated, that you shall not have this city." Trace paused, removing the blade from the soldier's shoulder with a pop. "Tell him if he has a problem with that, then he can take it up with Trace."

Daemon ran, bullets hitting his wings and bouncing back. Fighting was not needed now, he needed to cover Johnny and Veronica and if ever he stepped out there was a greater possibility they would be hit.

Klaire continued her bout through the air, landing on a roof. She stood on the edge, breathing slowly and deeply. The metal of the briefcase was cold on her hand. She relished the feeling, loving the fact that she could hold something familiar to her. Her large white feathered wings cast a shadow over the streets of Animus.
