As I inhale the cool air of Animus, I exhale with pride. This city had not changed at all, it was as genuine as it had always been--with its broken down walls, mindless wanderers, and orderly chaos.
The feeling of entering Animus was like the first time I had seen the city; it was refreshing. I kept on going, not looking back (literally and figuratively). It was a new adventure all over again. It was just the matter of finding soldiers to join me in my scout.

Veronica had sensed Damon's presence from where she was.
Veronica stood over the decayed placard that once greeted people into the city, Welcome To Animus: Come As You Are. Veronica smiled as she approached him; opening her hand out, she said, "Welcome back.".

Daemon gave Veronica a hug. He hadn't seen her for what it seems forever, it only deemed appropriate.
"Thanks. Missed me? Ha-ha. You are looking good, hows Johnny? What have I missed?"

"I'm excepting a baby.", Veronica murmured. "Where have you been?".

Syl and Kure were walking along the streets, on the way revisting Syl's favourite teashop, when it had sensed Daemon's aura. He was a supernatural, and thus easy to detect, where humans like Veronica would often pass under the radar... How...? Was it a miracle sent by Azrael? Well, if Daemon would show up at a time like this, Syl saw it as certainly a good thing.
Syl began to remember all the good times they had, with Daemon teaching it how to make his ultrasweet sugar soup, the one that was so sweet that a normal human wouldn't touch it. Not Syl. It enjoyed every sip.
It grinnned and suddenly hugged Kure tightly.
"Kure! Guess what?"
It pulled on his sleeve eagerly.
"One of my friends... I can sense his aura! He finally, finally came back! He disappeared on business a long while ago, and he's finally back! Kure! I'm so excited! He was one of my bestest friends!"
It tugged at his sleeve gently, looking up at him with an innocently pleading expression on its face. It was almost like the classic puppy dog eyes expression, but cuter.
"Can we go see him? It's not far, I swear! With a big huge mountain of ultrasweet lollipops and chocalate candies and sugar sugar ice cream on top?"

Kankure and Syl had been walking the streets exploring the shops that it hadn't been to. The skies were blue and clear with few clouds that seemed like whisks of clear gray smoke. The sun blazed within the hovering blue sea, giving light to the city and reflecting off his white hair. The place was fairly quiet, even during the day, except those few occasions of chaos and blood shed. This, thankfully, wasn’t quite too often, giving enough time for the two to get to know each other. He still had not much memory of his past, but he could remember events regarding Syl and he, and even small clips of what might have been his family. Though, other than that, there wasn’t a single thing he could remember. But Syl believed in him, believed he could retain all his memory. It made him feel happy that Syl was with him, to share their time together and have fun. They had been together in the city for about five or six days, although it was particularly hard to keep track here.
They were walking across Minort Street, their shoes gently tapping against the gray, sun warmed pavement. There were a few cracks and large potholes within the asphalt. Kankure stopped as Syl tugged on him and asked if they could go meet up with a friend. He smiled warmly, “Of course. But don’t smother your friend with hugs right away; I’m sure he would like a warning before the pounce.” He said and laughed lightly.

"Okay!" said Syl, as it happily dragged him by the sleeve (more accurately attempted to. If Kure was following, it was by his own free will).
Daemon was honestly not that far, and it didn't take long for Syl to get within his sight. In fact, he was only a few streets away... close enough for Syl to get a pretty good estimate of his location. Its aura tracking ability was very accurate at close range, but as the distance increased, the accuracy decreased. But... Syl was sure that this was Daemon... that aura was definitely his!
"Come on Kure!" it said, still pulling him along.
It still had that cheerful grin on its face. As soon as Syl saw Daemon, it waved at him grinning widely.
"Daemon! Where've you been?! I've... I've missed you so much!"
Well, maybe not as much as Daemon would have hoped. Whenever Syl was really that lonely, Asri and Kiel provided the company it needed, but still... it was always wondering in the back of its mind what in the world he had been doing to have been gone for so long. It then noticed Veronica nearby, along with Johnny.
"Miss Veronica!" called out Syl, "where've you been?! On another wacky adventure?"

The smell of Syl lingered around the area, I was pretty sure it would show up any moment and was ready to give a new greeting different from usual. Syl was not the only scent that I took notice off. There was a stink that lured me into being a on guard, it was the presence of a guest...something that I am not particularly fond of... for unpredictability and unknown threats they may behold..
Alas, it is too early to play judge, maybe my decision will change. As for now, I remain gliding in thin ice even to people that 'mattered most' (for all I know, they are the first to betray me).
As I made the decision to greet Syl, I took in its aura once more. How I do miss its gratefulness to my cooking; now back, I am able to present it with a new culinary invention of mine. I carefully drew out my sword, created from rare metals of all kind ; the color as dark as my blade wings they were. I walked towards Syl, my sword danced along with me, soon we were nearly face to face.
"Hello Syl, good to see you are in good hands," I said, my smile couldn't help but dwindle in the sight of the newcomer.

Syl grinned at Daemon, as it stepped towards him and gave him a big, tight hug.
"Daaeeemmmooonnn!" it yelled, "Wow! I'm so glad that you're here! I mean, it's been such a long while since I last tasted your cooking! Did you get any more recipes from Purgatory?! Does it incolve maple syrup?! I can't wait! Your super-sweet sugar recipes are so delicious!"
It laughed as it tugged on his sleeve eagerly.
"Daemon! Please meet Kure, my-"
It then looked up at him, with a slightly confused expression on its face. Why did his smile fade? Well, if the reason was private, it was private... nothing that Syl could do about that. What Daemon needed now was some cheering up and a big huge bowl of ultrasweet sugar!
It tightened its grip on him, hugging him tighter.
"Oh, come on Daemon," it said, its grinning only growing wider, "smile! It makes me happy to see my friends happy!"

Mind, body, and soul I knew I have changed since our last encounter. I grew wiser, my skills and senses grew keener, everything about me sharper and better....even my perspective of the world had changed. I once said 'what is done cannot be undone,' maybe I am wrong....what is done cannot be undone but doesn't mean that the world is over--doesn't mean that there is nothing I cannot do about it.
This is the case of my past--no--my existence. I had lived lives of pain, unjust and courage, but I still find ways to become a warrior. To become who I am supposed to be. Maybe it is fate (the whatever happens, happens type of thing), or maybe it is because I carved my own destiny and not let it be dictated by someone else; not 'friends' for even they change.
Now, I stand-forth here today, a man and no longer a boy. I have became the person I wished to be. I am now, The Winged Warrior only camaflouged by my skin, yet, it wont be long until they realize who I really am. Okay it is time to snap into reality and answer Syl, its not the time to have all this synapsis of thoughts.
"Good to see you too. So who is Kure? You did not finish your statement" Daemon said, smiling again.

Veronica walked close to the group, having had stepped away for a moment. She smiled at Syl and said, "It's good to see you too. I have a baby on the way, how have you been?". Veronica missed Syl; she figured, she'd give Daemon time before she'd give Syl a hug of her own.
Looking over at Kure, Veronica smiled and approached with a hand shake. "Hello there, I don't think we have been introduced yet. I am Veronica.".

Kankure had been a few feet away from the group, letting Syl talk to his friend. This was the first time he had seen anyone other than it and the mindless, it was comforting in a way. He had found company much more pleasurable than being alone, as if he felt more vulnerable alone, though he knew not why he would feel this. He took his eyes off Syl and Daemon, looking down at Veronica as she approached him with a friendly gesture. “You are correct, we haven’t met, unless my memory is lacking again. My name is Kankure Namurei, it’s nice to meet someone other than mindless.” he said and gently shook her hand. “So far I have only had the pleasure to meet Syl, though it seems we’ve met before I came here. I’m sorry if I don’t remember much, I lost my memory when I had awakened in a strange hotel. So please excuse me if my behavior seems vague or strange at times.” Kankure smiled softly; seemingly the loss of his memory didn’t bother him, though that was very untrue. He hid his depressing matters, welcoming others and being the warm and friendly Kankure he was once known to be on middle earth.
He looked up from Veronica as he heard Daemon asked who Kure was. Kankure mentally chuckled, Syl had used his nickname again, and it always led to confusion. “Seems I’m needed, please excuse me.” He said to Veronica, and then walked over to Daemon and Syl. He smiled warmly at Daemon, “I’m sorry, Syl is using my nickname to introduce me to people again. I’m Kankure, or, as my nickname indicates, Kure.” he chuckled, “I’m sure my name sounds like a sort of Japanese food, but you can only live with what your parents have given you.” Kankure said, neglecting to mention he didn’t know his parents. Only so because most of the events involving Dante, an evil and manipulative demon, seemed to be completely erased from his memory. As many other things as well, but he had remembered minor events and conversations, slowly regaining his memory in small fragments.
“Syl seems to be fairly attached to you, I’m sure you’ve treated it well for it to consider you such a close friend.” he said, “I’d like to get to know you better, as well as everyone else I meet later on. Because I’m most certain you’ve all established a sort of association with Syl.” Kankure said, gently suggesting he wanted to know of the people involved with Syl, acting as some sort of guardian. Strange though, seeing how Kankure was a stranger to everyone else and had only just come here days ago, he had already forged a deep bond with Syl; with the help of their past experiences as well.
Yet he was portrayed as a strange fellow, just as his old home. He was tall, just over six feet, and his appearance seemed so white and pure, and he could have easily been seen as some sort of holy man or preacher in one’s eyes. He wore a mix of Japanese and Chinese cloths, giving him a look of mixed races. The sword strapped to his back making him seem of one with experiences of battle, which he did in the past even if he couldn’t remember. Each small feature of himself giving off a small part of him and who he was, which people could easily mistaken and twist to their own perspective. But these assumptions and views vary from person to person, and Kankure didn’t mind what people thought of him for the most part.

Syl smiled widely as it saw Daemon's smile return. It was an empathic quality that Syl noticed about itself. Whenever its friends were happy, it was happy. Thus, it did whatever it could to cheer them up, just as they would (hopefully) do for it.
"Good, now smile wider," it said, "there's no need to be paranoid and wary here. You're among friends, not people that can blow you up at any moment! I just want to see you happy, Daemon... not all quiet like this! And don't worry, Daemon! Not much has changed here except that I've gotten a few more friends to introduce you to! Like Kure for instance! He's one of my bestest friends now! Like you are! I mean, he's really nice and he's treated me really really well! We've had a lot of fun together, so please try to be nice, okay?"
It hugged him tightly once more, as it heard Veronica mention that she was expecting a baby. A baby?! Syl then laughed and skipped at her, looking at her with curious eyes, clasping its arms with big smile on its face.
"Wow! You're going to have a baby, miss Veronica?!" said Syl eagerly. "So you're really pregnant? And the baby's alive? That's so cool!"
It looked at her belly, cocking its head.
"Wow, what does it look like? Can it talk? Oh, and how old is it? Can I pet it? Wait... where is it? Is it in that baggy thingy that women use to carry babies around? That's so strange! I was 'born' without all the icky fluid thingies and blood everywhere. It's a lot less messy than if you carry around it in your body all the time... Oh, and what's it like to have a child inside of you? Does it cry while it's in there...?"
Its smile turned to a grin as it continued to bombard Veronica with questions. It tugged at her sleeve eagerly as it anticipated her answer, apparently having a fun time.

I looked at Syl displeased; who said I was paranoid, cautious as always but never paranoid. Nonetheless, it was time to play my part and try to open myself to this new guest. Could it be the scent of jealousy that drove me insane or the fact that I have been tossed away like a old toy?
Its number two.... Now that I think of it, its number two. Oh' dear, how I despise people who fancy things and throw away others in the process. Maybe this might not be the case, maybe it might....as of now, I stand still studying my own aggravation waiting to be left alone again, for I know eventually love turns to hate faster than fear.
"Syl, I am fine, you know that! Still the same guy but more mature. So Syl is Kure your boyfriend?" I teased but was it really a tease, thats for Syl to decide. ______ Note: Pardon the choppiness of this post... I, Wingy, just felt a need to post to keep some people entertained.

Veronica gave Kure a pat on the shoulder and said, "You're doing great. If you need anything, please feel free to come to me.".
"Wow! You're going to have a baby, miss Veronica?!" said Syl eagerly. "So you're really pregnant? And the baby's alive? That's so cool!"
"Wow, what does it look like? Can it talk? Oh, and how old is it? Can I pet it? Wait... where is it? Is it in that baggy thingy that women use to carry babies around? That's so strange! Syl came at Veronica suddenly. Listening to it, Veronica couldn't help but smile. There was always something so comforting and wonderful about its concept of humanity. "It's right in here.". Veronica replied as she pressed her hand on the small bump on her belly. "It's going to take sometime before the baby completely develops. When she's out of me, its still going to take time before she walks, before she talks, before she can interact with us... That will take a long while.", Veronica finished as she came to realize the time she had spent in the city and time ahead awaiting her... Oh my god....
