Dear Journal,
I know that stealing is probably not a good thing, but I snatched you out of the library when no one was looking, as well as a blue pen. Well, I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Sylredrae, or Syl. Currently I'm in an unlikely situation - an amnesiac prisoner of a strange dimension called Animus. Everything here is foreign, everything here is new... I don't know what to do, but I need answers.
Perhaps the other inhabitants have the key to that. They're all fascinating.
Let's start with Veronica. She's nice, certainly will be a handy ally. I can talk to her, and I appreciate that, but now is not the right time to confide my secrets with her. Still, I must be wary of her 'boyfriend.' He's probably human, but human men can certainly be dangerous. That man with the funny moustache from the book certainly did a good job of getting his paid servants to murder so many innocents. While miss Veronica's 'boyfriend' may not have lackies, he may have other skills that I may not be aware of.
Myzrael is fascinating. A type 1 fallen angel, a dark angel! Hmm... Kiel once stated that it was rather fond of them. Lost souls, in some way kindred to us... My first impression of him might not have gone well... I have to find some way to mend it. I have to prove to him that not all beings with power are out to get him and betray him at first opportunity. His wit is also a nice, albeit icy addition to my social repertoire of acquaintances. Certainly an ally I would like to have - and not only for his power. His wit also amuses me.
Kiel taught me to value my allies, but first I must gain their trust. Even taking into account Myzrael's coldness, perhaps it is still doable. I may have skills that can aid him, but I must be patient. If I rush things Myzrael might react unfavourably. I must think before I act, and be ready if he plans to betray me. I must not assume that he is not selfish, but I must ensure, that if I can't gain him as ally, we will not be enemies.
While his manner may not be ideal, I certainly find this 'Myzrael' better off than this 'Trace.' He's a type 2 fallen angel. I was told to be wary of them. They're out for themselves, self-centered and very aggressive, generally speaking. Hell in general does not value loyalty - it values fear. This is why many demons serve their masters, and why their masters tend to betray each other. Trace may not necessarily fit the mold of the typical type 2 fallen angel, but he must be watched and analyzed accordingly.
Seeing as Trace and Myzrael are both very powerful, they might have fought before - they might not be on good terms. Type 2 fallen angels have a tendency to make enemies, while type 1 fallen angels may not always know when to back down. The two types have enough differences to make inter-type friendships a rarity. Generally speaking of course.
Simply put, I want to gain Myzrael as an ally, but I don't want Trace blowing me to smithereens. As with the cycle of life and death, there must be a balance.
As for the last one, Anya, there's certainly something... bloody... about her. She's small in power compared to Myzrael or Trace, but perhaps she has other qualities that might best theirs. Sheer destructive power does not equal invincible. It equals dangerous. Perhaps Anya might have the intelligence necessary to be a threat. Her aura is only thing that I find 'off.'
It's bloody, so soaking in blood that she should be bathing in it. I can conclude for sure that she's killed. Many, many people. The presence of blood reminds me strongly of vampires. They are quite ruthless bloodsuckers of humans and other flesh beings. Generally speaking, once turned they might angst for a while before giving into their nature. Perhaps Anya's mind has been twisted by it as well. I have not known her long enough to make sure of that. She may not necessary be some type of vampire, but I should keep an eye on her if I can. I may not be appetizing to her, but Veronica might be.
I must keep on eye on Veronica to ensure that nothing bad comes to her. She may not be a threat, but she may know something useful. I hope to have a good, enduring relationship with her. Hopefully her 'boyfriend' won't get in the way.
These are the active, non-dazed citizens that I have met so far. If I am to find the answers I seek, their assistance will most likely be needed. I have to avoid making enemies, especially with Trace. Type 2 fallen angels are not to be underestimated.
Kiel, if you can hear me, I wish you well and I hope that luck will come my way. If I play my cards right, i might be able to make it without getting beaten up and blown up by a type 2 fallen angel.
Perhaps I might recover some of my memories along the way too. Who knows?
May good fortune be with me,
Sylredrae
PS: I must find out why I see those words in that notebook and ensure that no one finds out about it. If people think me as a freak then how am I supposed make a good impression? Kiel... why must you always be out for trouble? Is this writing a hallucination, is this really you contacting me or is it something else entirely?!
