Name: Memory Demon, real name - Soraszen, known informally as ‘Sora’
Origin: Unknown, actually – its homeworld is unknown, but is not Heaven
Powers: Control over memories and illusions and the dark mist it creates
History and Purpose:
Soraszen was an angel once upon a time (although what type specifically is unknown – there are many types of angels across the universe, as with demons), that was enlisted by the angelic military to fight off a demonic invasion of its world and with the help of the other species, hopefully close the portals that caused it.
However, Soraszen was lost in one of Hell’s battles with its world, as it tried to fight of the invasion. It became trapped in Hell, surrounded by demons and dark magic. It stumbled around in various attempts to get back into Heaven and it almost succeeded a number of times, but its attempts always failed due to demonic interference. Unfortunately, a high-ranked demon caught it one day as it attempted to fly out of the gates of Hell. Soraszen tried its best to fight it off, but it lost. The demon, mocking it, painfully ripped off its wings, effectively cursing it to a lifetime in Hell.
As a result, over the course of a couple of months, Hell got the better of it and despite its best efforts, the dark energy was too much for Sora to handle. Soraszen eventually became a demon itself after a long and painful transformation. Desperate to survive, it climbed up the ranks by force, making contracts as it did so, to become one of the strongest memory demons in Hell. Eventually the Black Goat called it for a deal to become Animus’s resident memory demon. It offered Soraszen power and authority in exchange for its servitude. Tired of Hell, it thought about it and signed the contract. It thereafter became Animus’s memory demon - basically a servant of Animus.
As Animus’s resident Memory demon, Soraszen is the one in charge of wiping or blocking resident’s memories as they enter Animus. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it doesn’t, hence why certain residents remember everything, some have partial memory loss and others are completely memory-wiped. Soraszen stores people’s memories in a lantern it carries and in the lights that flow around it. Although one can try to snatch one of lights away, it won’t work because the demon will only let people have their memories back with its permission. Unfortunately, getting Soraszen to forfeit one of its precious memories is a hard task.
Memories are the only possessions it has, and it lords over them as if they were its own, as a replacement for the happy memories it lost ever since it became a demon. There are three ways to get one memory back – to defeat it in a fight, strike a deal with it or exchange one memory for another. Even if Sora is persuaded to give up a memory, it's quite a tricky being to deal with, as it may fabricate false memories in place of real ones or only give minimal parts back.
These chances to regain memories won’t come often as Soraszen is fairly elusive, preferring to work behind the scenes with the Black Goat’s cooperation. Sometimes it even helps bring forth other demons from Hell to occupy the residents and controls them via use of illusions. May also contribute its knowledge of Hell and demonic summoning, as well as the resident’s memories to further help the Black Goat and Animus.
On a side note, though, Soraszen is, surprisingly, willing to protect humans if it can. This is mainly because most of the residents were humans and because they’re its primary source of memories, as just before the Black Goat made almost everyone mindless, Soraszen collected all of their memories. Memories give it power, so it is willing to protect them whenever it can and does not tolerate liberal killing of too many humans. Should anyone cross the line, it won't hesitate to beat them.
This would be another way to call it - to kill too many humans in a certain area. This is very effective at drawing forth Soraszen, but the downside is that it will be very VERY angry.
Appearance: Being the demon of memories and illusions, Soraszen’s appearance is quite flexible and variable. It can appear anything from human to an angel of light to even a demon’s worst nightmare.
What it really looks like is unknown, but it does prefer a certain form. It’s a human-sized form, where it dresses in tattered dark clothes and carries a lantern where lights congregate. Those lights surround it and flow around it, under its control. They are memories, but snatching one is no way to get a memory back – because it’s a part of Soraszen.
Soraszen is also almost always surrounded by a dark, cold mist whenever it appears. It can control this mist and mould it into many razor-sharp weapons, even walls and obstacles and other objects, although it can be counteracted by elemental attacks and magic. Along with its illusions, this makes Soraszen a formidable fighter, and certainly not one to be underestimated.

Character created by Cyansky and Grey. I typed up the bio, Grey provided some cool ideas, such as the concept of a memory demon and its trickyness with deals - the part about minimal memories and fake memories. Excellent ideas, Grey! Keep it up.
