Daemon nodded at Syl, "very well, come with us then." In truth being, Daemon was very curious about Syl, he wanted to know more about it and its purpose of showing itself to him. Why would it show itself if it did not want anything from them. DeAnne just looked at Daemon doubtful.

Syl's smile only got wider.
"Alright then, sir," it said, "where are we going next?"
It followed Daemon, briefly eyeing the scythe that he held in his hand. Used properly, it could cause a considerable amount of damage. As this illegal reaper was most likely older than he looked, Syl knew that it was certain that he had some skill with it. It kept that in mind as they walked, but tried not to let it ruin the mood.

"By the way, I did not get your name," Daemon said as they walked. Daemon had slight caution but was comfortable with this creature. He was interested in a being he had never encountered before, he wanted to understand this creature. It would be fun-- he'd play Homes again. DeAnne stayed close to him, alert. She did not care if Daemon trust this thing, she did not and was rather baffled why he wanted it to stay with them.

Syl's smile persisted.
"Ah, it's Sylredrae, or Syl for short," it said, "how about you, sir? And... I suppose that girl there is DeAnne, right?"
While still looking at Daemon, it still thought about that scythe. That aura... that scythe was no ordinary weapon. Syl wondered about how Daemon would fight. Would he prefer using that scythe to cleave multiple enemies or did he prefer single opponents? Was that scythe used to channel magic or was it exclusively a melee weapon or a mix of both? So many questions...
Still smiling, it glanced at the girl that he had called 'DeAnne.' She looked nice, but there was something about her aura that Syl didn't quite like. It must have soemthing to do with her being a demon, thought Syl. I've always been wary of them, but for the sake of image I must keep my body language perfect.
And that's what it did.

"No need to call me sir, I prefer you called me Daemon. Thats what my friends call me," Daemon said smiling, he was smily today, it was nice to be away from any annoyances.

Lain trailed her fingers absentmindedly along the clothing rack, Slowly making herself to the Exit. I wonder where Ryker had disappeared to.. She thought, Leaning against the door frame.
Then she heard the small noises of idle chit chat coming from down the ways, to her left. I wonder if that's DeAnne.. Blinking a few times she walked slowly, silently to wards the noise. Keeping her distance just in case it wasn't anyone she knew.
Peering around the corner, she saw the sources of the noise. Oh good it's DeAnne and Daemon She thought happily as she made her way over to them.
"Hey Dea, What ya doing?" Lain asked leaning her head against DeAnne's shoulder as they walked.
I really hope Ryker is okay Beginning to bite her lip. You mustn't think like that Lain She thought, Scolding herself. Shaking her head to banish the thoughts from her mind, Forcing a smile onto her lips.

"Hi, wheres Ryker? Oh and we have a new friend named Syl who is staying with us" DeAnne said. Daemon was focused on navigating that he did not notice Lain.

"I'm not sure.." Lain replied, pushing her index finger to her bottom lip, thinking.
"Oh! Hiya Syl." She acknowledged the being with her usual over friendly smile. She was pretty sure it wasn't a human, it smelt wrong.
Lain poked her tongue out at the back of Daemon's head.
Nyeh! Thats for ignoring me.

Syl gave this 'Daemon' character a very happy grin, one that actually appeared genuine, although it was actually impassive on the inside. There was no way to tell that Syl actually felt that way... because it had years of experience of acting and politics. It knew it.
Syl's emotions were not as strong as with humans, but it knew how to make them appear as such. This trick was called 'camouflage,' and was one that Syl was good at - changing its behaviour to the surroundings and the people it interacted with.
"Alright, then, Daemon!"
"Oh! Hiya Syl." Syl turned toward the source of the voice, smiling. Well, looks like DeAnne already told her my name. I guess I ought to thank her, thought Syl, after all I'm not overly fond of awkward introductions.
"Ah, hi there, miss? Are... you another friend of Daemon's?"
This new girl seemed nice. She had the face and demeanor of a child, which kind of fascinated Syl. It had been a long while since it was a child itself. An oh so very, very long while. How many years? Syl had no clue. Could be anywhere from decades to hundreds of thousands of years.
A notable chracteristic of this girl was her long, pointed ears. Syl found them curious. It had encountered many beings with pointed ears. Her aura identified her as elven, although Syl wasn't sure what kind of elf or what her powers could be. There were many, many types of elves out there, and Syl didn't know all of them. Some were very weak, others were powerful... and that was only after hundreds of years of painstaking work to reach their full potential. Nonetheless, Syl kept an open mind and hoped for the best. This girl didn't appear to be harmless, and if she was out to get it, it could slip away...
Syl gave her a shy, friendly wave.
"Um... what's your name, miss...?"

"Yep!" She tried desperately to tuck the honey locks behind her ears, Being renegades they fell awkwardly in front of her eyes.
"I'm Lain!" She replied, Grinning at Syl.
Hey, where did you go Ryk? She thought, sending it as far as she could.
Oh, sorry i kind of lost track! I'll catch up with you soon..
Lain sighed, "Well at least he's okay." She mumbled.

Syl grinned back at her, and bowed politely.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, miss Lain," it said politely, "how are you on this lovely day?"
Syl found her amusing, seeing she stick out her tongue at Daemon behind his back. Her demeanor appeared childish, but Syl had a feeling that there was something more to her than that. Why else would she have ended up in Animus. It only wondered who this 'he' was when Lain mumbled 'at least he's okay.' Syl wondered if this 'he' was Lain's mate or lover or friend... probably friend, though.
It then thought back to Daemon... he was a strange one. He had avoided answering Syl's question about his species, leading Syl to figure that he was secretive to an extent. It was good that Syl was good at detecting and recognizing auras... although the 'recognizing part' only worked well at close range. At max range, Syl could only detect the general area that a person was located in from their aura... and no additional data. Its abilities had their limits, after all, and this was unfortunate because it wanted to be able to keep an eye on Daemon.

Daemon snapped out of focus when Lain stuck out her tongue on his back,"Lainie, you where there? I did not see you, by the way, Syl is staying with us today considering that Syl has no where else to stay," he said jubilant, he avoided using 'it' to describe Syl, the word 'it' sounded demeaning and he did not want that. He smiled at Lain and at himself, this was relatively a good day for him: no fusses and no worries. Daemon paused at the realization that someone was missing, "Hey Lainie, wheres Pony?"
"Lain, where did you loose Ryker? Isn't there a way you can contact him? Is he OK?" DeAnne said, concern blatant in her face and voice. She carried deeply about Ryker, he was more than a friend to her--at least thats what she felt, she did know how he did about her. She was starting her hopeless romantic act once more, Akira hated it, DeAnne loved it. Akira was starting to penetrate through and take control for a little while or when she can, DeAnne in her eyes was weak as comparison to the DeAnne she knew. She wanted them to be united again and not two separate forces desperately fighting over a capsule.

Syl cocked its head in confusion. How perplexing. It seems that they all knew each other here, but Syl didn't. Their relationships perplexed it. It would have to analyze and think about it as it went.
"Mr. Ryker? Is that his name?" asked Syl innocently, with a confused look on its face. "And why do you call him 'Pony,' Daemon? Is it because he carries people's luggage? Or does he carry people? Like horses did in human history?"
This was so confusing... Syl didn't know what to think of this new information. It glanced at everyone in turn, obviously confused.

Daemon chuckled, Syl was all to funny and seemingly innocent, "You will see, you'll see," Daemon said as he walked.
DeAnne was to busy concerned and battling over her body to care.

"I ate him" Lain replied. "Haha just kidding!" She began to giggle madly, just at that moment Ryker stepped out of the shadows.
"You ate someone?" He asked, puzzlement in his eyes. Hearing him say this made Lain giggle harder, to the point where she was almost out of breath.
He rolled his eyes at Lain and turned his attention to the others. "Yo." He said simply, tightening the piece of leather that was holding his hair in a low ponytail.
"Pony pony pony pony." Lain sang, interrupted by Ryker's glare. "So who's the new guy?" "His name is Syl! and don't be so rude!" Lain scolded smacking Ryker over the head.
"Sorry 'bout that Syl!" Lain apologized grinning madly. Ryker stared at Syl, Having enough knowledge to realize he wasn't even human.. Or she. He couldn't decide.
Lain ran her fingers through her tangled honey hair, Stealing a piece of leather out of Ryker's pocket she tied her hair up on the side.
