DeAnne and Daemon felt like doing some exploring, they (more like Daemon) believes that it is 'strategic' to know all the areas of the city in case of any 'encumbrances.' They run into a condemned mall and wonder around. What will lie there? Who knows.
Players: Syl Lain Ryker DeAnne Daemon ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"DeAnne, come on look what I found," Daemon said gesturing to the mall.
DeAnne looked at the abandoned shopping area, "What is that?"
"It seems to be a mall, there is a dilapidated sign that says "DMALL"," Daemon said pointing at the sign at DeAnne's right.
"What's a mall?" DeAnne asked, she had forgotten mostly everything about her 'human' life.
"Its a place where we can get supplies," Daemon said as he went in through the broken windows, DeAnne followed.
They went inside, DeAnne cautious, Daemon curious. Daemon gathered supplies that he thought would be handy such as clothing and food. DeAnne could not help to be fascinated by material she had no knowledge of, such as medicine. She looked through all the cabinets a lot of it where empty.

Syl, after its meeting with Chains, had began to wander around on its own once again. It walked by streets and alleyways, all of whom were deserted except for mindless and a few odd sliced-to-bits bodies. Syl stopped in front of one and examined it close up, noticing the fine work of the killer. Whoever did this was skilled with a blade. He or she had slice this person up very easily and very well, so much that the gender couldn't be identified.
Ignoring the gruesome sight, and feeling nothing for the dead person, Syl walked on. Street signs and posters and shops passed it by, but Syl took no notice. Sure it could read them. It was just that it didn't care. It took turns at random, looking forward as if its mind was elsewhere, as if it was dreaming.
It saw shadows flash across the edge of its sight, and street signs change their names. Writing changed all the time when Syl looked at it. That's why didn't read much nowadays. It didn't know whether it was real or a hallucination, but Syl knew that it had probably happened without it realizing it. Syl watched now as a sign that said '4th Avenue' changed to say 'Gettsburg Street.' How odd, how perplexing, thought Syl, it's as if the city is changing as I walk.
Still, it pressed on, trying not to read the street signs and shop names. They were too inconsistent for its logic to handle. Syl would have to tackle this on later, maybe even.
"Check the notebook?"
Syl pulled it out, flipping to a random page.
Writing immediately appeared, as if written by an invisible pen.
Dear Syl,
The world is not always real - it's what our senses make of it. It's the beauty of how eyes work, how each eye sees things a little differently. Everything works differently for everyone. I found out the hard way in the past, when we were fugitives on the run, looking over our backs. Plans that would have worked for a charming prince or insanely intelligent megalomaniac did not work for our allies, especially when everyone is suspicious of everyone. That's how it works when you toss a bunch of unique people together. Yourself included. Be alert. Be safe.
I love you,
-Kiel
At the bottom a huge smiley was drawn. It was perfect and symmetrical, an example of Kiel's style of drawing. It loved symmetry. Hence why it was almost all Kiel drew - symmetrical abstract artworks. Syl smiled, holding the notebook close, relishing the message in all its glory.
Kiel... it thought, I'll never forget you. EVER. As I have sworn, I'll take these to heart.
Syl's eyes widened as it approached a building that was massive, appearing like it was an endless maze. Mazes... it wasn't particularly fond of them, but I knew how to handle them. Good memory helped, as always.
Syl's eyes honed in on two people as they casually entered the building. They appeared to be talking. Curious, it drew closer, hidding behind a tree. After they entered and began to search around, Syl crept closer, hiding behind a corner, just out of sight, but within range to hear them.

"Daem, what does medicine do? How does it do it?" DeAnne asked carrying a bottle of pain killers.
"It is supposed to cure the sick and relive pain, Annie. And depends on the medicine but in many cases helps the antibodies--you wont understand since you don't have antibodies. Demons do not have illnesses," Daemon replied gathering materials, he was almost done.
"Daem, I know you already told Ryker and Lain that we'd be around these parts, but I'd like to bring Ry and Lain here. Its very fascinating," DeAnne said as she exited. Daemon nodded signaling a yes to her response. ____________ She wandered around the streets, lost. The street signs were starting to muddle her up, she had relied on Daemon to be her guide, but now he was gone. The names of the signs were similar which added to her confusion, 'Zinc' and 'Zink,' for instance. She sighed, maybe it was a bad idea to come here, I should have stayed home. _________ Daemon decided to find some games, he was utterly bored at the location they stayed in and were in need for something to spice up his life, games seemed to help with that. He started to uncover games of all sorts---from monopoly to chess. He liked chess, it required logic and he loved using logic that was definitely a keeper. Daemon was having a pleasant day, he liked being away from everyone especially the Crazies, he liked the solitude, it gave him much comfort.

Syl watched as the red-haired woman left the building. She didn't notice it. Peeking out from behind the corner, it carefully watched the young man that it has glimpsed just after it returned to the present. That young man that looked like a teenager, but had angelic and reaper powers. Odd... thought Syl, I wonder why he wears that cloak and carries that scythe. Real, legal reapers don't have scythes. That's just what they're depicted with.
It watched closely as the illegal reaper gathered materials. It stayed behind the corner, contemplating what to do. It wondered whether it would be a good idea to introduce itself or let him notice it. It decided against letting him notice on his own. That would make it seem like a stalker. Even so, Syl worried what this illegal reaper would think of it. They were known to be unpredictable, and quite dangerous. The only relief that was Syl was quite powerful and fast, so hopefully it could escape if things got ugly.
Syl cautiously poked its head beyond the corner, so that its face was just within view, bearing an innocently curious expression.
"Umm... Hi?" it said weakly, awkwardly.

Umm... Hi?" it said weakly, awkwardly
Daemon turned around to see a man, no woman--a creature. He studied the thing near him, it was something he had never seen before. He examined it for a moment and realized it was only curious, yet remained alert. "Hi, what are you doing here?" Daemon asked, nicely. He was in a pleasant mood. ________________
DeAnne gave up, she felt so hopeless. She sighed and plopped her butt onto the stairs of an apartment, wishing someone would run into her and help her. How she wished she had tracking skills and paid more attention to her surroundings instead of being fascinated by everything.

Lain giggled wildly doing numerous acrobatics as Ryker watched her. They had climbed on top of one of the many building's roofs.
Ryker grew bored of watching her flip and jump, kicking bits of rock he made his way over to the edge of the building and admired the view.
"DeAnne?" What a crazy coincidence, seeing her here of all places. He thought to himself.
"What'd you saaay?" Lain's head popped round the side of his body. Seeing as she was so small (she only came up to just below his shoulder) she had the ability to move very quietly when she wanted to.
Following his line of site, She too saw the beautiful woman they had both come to know as DeAnne.
"DEANNE!" Lain shouted, as she quickly maneuvered herself down the side of the building to land neatly beside DeAnne. Ryker quickly followed suit.
"Yo." He said giving her a small wave. "What ya doing Dea?" Lain asked, pushing Deanne's forehead with her index finger.

"RYKER, LAIN, THANK YOU!!!" DeAnne said as she tackled both of them to the ground smothering them with hugs. Then she stood up again, "Ry, Laine, I was going to get you. I wondered off away from a place called a mall and was lost. You have no idea how much I love you both," DeAnne said as made her way to kiss Ryker and hug Lain.

Lain let out a girlish scream, Ryker chuckled.
"Are you going to take us to a mall?" He asked suspiciously.
"Whats that?" Lain asked.
"Well if DeAnne takes us there you can see for yourself." He replied simply.

"True, I did not know what a mall was until I saw it," She said leading the way, soon they were there.

Lain gazed in awe at the huge building with all the little buildings inside it.
"Wow, it's huge." She gasped running ahead into the array of shops, her honey colored hair streaming behind her.
"Wait up Lain, you don't know whats in there!" Ryker called, hurrying in after her.

"What are you doing here?"
This illegal reaper was alert. Understandable really. Who could live in this city without occasional episodes of paranoia. Chains was initially like that when he met Syl. Why should Daemon differ. They both looked like wolves in sheep's clothing. Both of them appeared innocent, but Chains was a cold-blooded murderer and this one an illegal reaper.
Syl would have to be careful. Very careful. Reapers were not to be messed with, legal or not. Still, it wondered, I wonder who this one works for?
It watched the illegal reaper's mouvements carefully. He was alert, but he didn't appear to be aggresive at the moment. Good. At least I won't get into a fight soon anyway, thought Syl impassively, observe, ponder, analyze and make conclusions. If I do what my parent said, I'll hopefully prosper here.
Syl gave it an awkward smile.
"I was wandering around... and I... found you and that red-haired lady there. What about you?"

"The red-haired lady---oh, DeAnne in her somewhat Akira form. We ran low on supplies and so we found this place and we are stocking up our food and needs," Daemon said as he looked at his pile of food, games, and other supplies with content. Then he made eye contact with Syl and said, " If you don't mind me asking. Do you have a place to stay? If not you can stay with us, I don't mind. All though, I don't want to come of as rude, but I have seen many creatures and I am sure you are non-human, what are you?" ______________________________________ DeAnne felt relieved that she was not alone, she did not like being alone very much especially at dark considering it was almost night, it was the idea that evil was most strong at dark and her alternative personalty most likely could take control, she hated that. She knew that Akira was starting to reappear, she could feel it, the change in her hair color was a warning and all she could do was try to block her off, she was making progress, albeit rather too slow and with difficulty . She missed her black hair, it felt more natural to her and a reminder of who she is trying to fight for---control over herself.

"The red-haired lady---oh, DeAnne in her somewhat Akira form. We ran low on supplies and so we found this place and we are stocking up our food and needs. If you don't mind me asking. Do you have a place to stay? If not you can stay with us, I don't mind. All though, I don't want to come of as rude, but I have seen many creatures and I am sure you are non-human, what are you?"
Syl nodded, slightly, taking in the information, every single last drop.
So... that red-haired lady's name is DeAnne, thought Syl, interesting... Hmm... and what about the Akira part? Akira... Akira... ah. They're a sultry type of demon that live in a a Hell governed by a very powerful demon who calls himself the 'Devil,' although 'Devil' also happens to be the name of a caste of demons found in many other Hells. They are usually high-ranked demons. Hmm... Who knew that two demons from two different Hells could end up in Animus? I think that Trace is not from the same Hell as DeAnne; their auras are too different. Hers had a small resemblence to that of a human's, while Trace's aura is full on demon. But then again, I may be wrong. Even so it's an interesting combination - a sultry type of demon (I think they're called 'succubi') and a type 2 fallen angel in the same city! Now that is is interesting! We're an eclectic bunch indeed...
It then thought about how Daemon mentioned supplies, that concept seemed familar to Syl. Humans needed supplies to live, such as food, water, medicine and entertainment, as it could see from this illegal reaper's games. Syl found it interesting because it personally didn't need supplies.
A bottle of water was nice to have, but other than that Syl only needed wind energy and the moisture from the air to survive.
Medicine... Syl had studied that before, like several other subjects, because it was bored one day. However, it knew that it didn't really need it that much except when it came to injuries of other people... which it could rarely use any due to not having the proper supplies on hand.
Entertainment... Well, this city was full of things for Syl to discover about humanity. Considering that Syl couldn't read properly due to hallucinations, interacting with the others and exploring the city was the most interesting entertainment that it could get...
Syl cocked its head, still witht he same innocent expression.
"I... don't have anywhere to stay," said Syl softly, shyly.
Technically speaking, it didn't need a place to stay. Any place directly under the sky would do, especially one where the winds blew regularly. Nonetheless, Syl found the concept interesting and decided to give it a try, should it be given the oppotunity. There was so much about humanity that it had yet to understand, and this illegal reaper apparently was familiar with such human concepts.
"As for what I am...?"
Syl trailed off, looking upwards, like a kid trying to remember something.
"Uh..."

"Look, I won't bite, it does not matter what you are, just like you I am curious," Daemon said removing his cloak, it was starting to become hot. He smiled at the creature, his scythe still at hand, he loved his scythe it was the first possession he had bought in Purgatory--he preferred the weird land in comparison to both Hell and Heaven. He had no means to harm Syl but had noticed It was a very analalitical being that probably was detached and wanted to know. He could tell by the way it was conducting itself, the way it moved, how it introduced itself to Daemon. Daemon enjoyed logic, he loved putting puzzles together and sometimes it felt like intuition. ________________________ DeAnne found Daemon talking to a creature, DeAnne wondered to herself if she should strike or attack such a creature but realized that it was safe since It had not tried to attack Daemon. Still she looked at It with caution as she headed beside Daemon.

Syl cocked its head again, still looking up, although its expression was more confused than innocent now.
"Huh... I can't remember what I am. That's strange... My memory... why can't I remember?"
It made sure to try to remember, but nothing came up. It knew that it was an energy-based being, but otherwise... nothing, nothing... nothing...
It looked at Daemon. While this young man appeared, well... young, he was an illegal reaper, and a hybrid to boot. It was certain that he was older than he looked.
"I'm terribly sorry that I'm unable to answer your question," said Syl, slowly, politely, giving them a friendly smile. "But... if it's not too imprudent to ask, what is your species, sir? And what is that of your friend there?"
It glanced at DeAnne, genuinely curious. Almost everything in Animus was curious, and Syl knew that it would spend a long time unravelling that mystery. It would be nice to learn more about these two people, the angelic reaper and the sultry demon. They seemed nice, but Syl knew better than to judge by appearance. Chains was a glaring example of that.
