Syl wandered the streets... again. And as usual, it was lost. It hadn't run into any of the other residents in a while, although Kiel popped up whenever its mood fancied it. It was, quite frankly, in need of something to do. The street signs were meaningless, the library was not an option (because Syl couldn't be sure of what it was reading, and most of the books were were useless anyways).
To occupy itself as the stores and houses passed it by, it took out its notebook and made some quick, kid-style doodles in the moonlight. The sun, various moons, flowers, little stick-figure people with swords and poorly drawn expressions, animals (mostly birds, which were the only the only things that Syl could actually draw well and properly)... It grinned as it doodled and wrote in some sparse, cramped notes to itself, which it promptly forgot about.
Kiel then appeared beside it, leaning on its shoulder as Syl wandered aimlessly.
"Having a nice night-time stroll, Syl?" it asked.
Syl smiled.
"Shh... someone might notice," it whispered.
Kiel patted it on the back and laughed.
"You've been doing this all day, Syl, and no one's showed up! Why start now?"
"I know you're joking," said Syl very softly, smiling, "it never hurts to be careful."
Syl shrugged and put the notebook away, as it arrived at a street that was apparently once home to an assortment of lively restaurants. Well, to say the least, the restaurants were still there, but they were anything but lively. As Syl passed some of them by, it watched them from the streets. They were staffed with mindless that worked unenthusiastically, shambling along and wandering in the stores like automatons.
Syl sighed. After drinking Daemon's soup it didn't feel particularly thirsty, so it didn't feel like going into one of them right now.
"Alright, now what?" it asked itself, looking at the street curiously, "what to do, what to do... Should I bore myself watching these humans? Or just I just go stargazing?"
