Daemon started chuckling. He couldn't help himself, this seemed all surreal. He was not concerned at all (unless they were hybrid humanoids or some creature in disguise).
"Looks like something from World War," he said chuckling even louder. "Sure, shelter. Though I do wonder, where did these people come from."

"Let's protect Veronica." Arqus told Bremmen. "Go offer your help to Johnny."
Bremmen closed his eyes with a discreet chuckle. Here is Arqus again being the hero. Bremmen opted to ignore him. He figured, he could do so much more that making sure Veronica's safe. He heard the residents talking. They were coming up with a plan.
"You people better hurry." Bremmen shouted at them. "I think I saw a couple of those men landing on the roofs of the residential houses."
He turned his head and glanced outside again to confirm what he saw. He was right.
"Snipers," He added, loud enough for the residents to hear. "Probably."

Anya had been standing back, unnoticed, watching the situation, and listen to the others. Her gaze lifted, watching the planes, and intruders. They never were going to get a break. Until she fed, she wasn't up for anymore fights.
Phoebe wondered off, growing bored with their talking. She wasn't going to wait for some strategy, or make an attempt to protect the others. She moved into a dark place, taking the shape of a black fox, and snuck away. It was her weaker form, but she found it very good for spying and sneaking into places.

"Snipers, Probably."
Trace glanced outwards towards the residential houses opposite them. There were definitely people on them, whether they be Snipers or not they were still out to get them.
"They've not seen us in here yet. If you lot want to go to the Police Station then you want to go now before they get a chance to gather our location, because then they're going to pick us off one by one."

Daemon nodded, "Trace has a point, we better get going then. Johnny, I will go with you."

Johnny looked at Daemon and said, "I don't think we're gonna be splitting up, kid." Johnny turned to Veronica asked, "Hey Roth, you ready?"
"Yeah, I am.", Veronica replied.
Johnny ditched the cigarette over the railing and said, "Come on, lets go!"

Bremmen could fly out the balcony if he wanted, but since Trace said they have to keep it down, he opted to join the others by foot. He promised to himself though, that if he hears gunshots, he would be taking off the ground on diamond wings with his scythe a-blazing.
"Walk near Veronica and Johnny, they would need your protection most." Arqus reminded Bremmen.
"Will you shut up?" Bremmen thought to Arqus. "You are about to give me a headache."
"Now you know how I feel when you talk inside my head." Arqus bit back. "Just stay close to them."
Bremmen formed both his hands into fists, annoyed at Arqus.

"I guess we have to do this," Daemon said, dropping his trench and putting it in the knapsack, he won't be needing it. It will just slow him down, he decided not to retract his wings--- it will rile up suspicion. Besides he looked human and was glad he did, facing some army guys in a battle would really ruin his sunny sparkling day. He did not want that, he was in a jubilant mood.
He now opened the door, "shall we?" He said still grinning.

Trace walked ahead of the others as he pushed into the street. If worst come to worst he could use the shadows to form some make shift wings and take to the sky to drop some covering fire. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that. Trace turned back to the others as he hit the street.
"Quiet," Trace said in a whisper, "We don't want them to hear us. And dont get careless, keep to the sides of buildings and out of sight. Take cover if needed."

Johnny and Veronica trailed behind Trace hand-in-hand. "You don't think we know that, man?", Johnny shot back. "Again, one hit and Roth and I are goners."
As the drew further down the streets, Veronica said, "We aren't far. The station's just a couple more blocks up Gillespie."

Daemon stayed close to Johnny and Veronica, he felt it was good that they had some protection. Maybe he would put himself to good use, it was hard to kill him, he knew that. Besides, he liked Johnny, he seemed fun.
"Hey you love-doves, I think I will stick around you two," Daemon said, the grin of his face not seizing to dwindle.

"I can't believe I'm doing this." Bremmen thought to himself. "I am actually hiding from the enemies."
It was unbelievable for the demon. He was use to fighting rather than hiding like silly rats from a cobra. He could take flight now and slash those soldiers' heads off. But no, he had to stay undercover with the rest of the residents for the mortal lovers. Johnny and Veronica.

Anya moved with them in silence, keeping alert and cautious, keeping close to the others.
Phoebe, in her black fox form, had found her way to a roof, not close enough for the men to notice her, but she could see them, watching them, waiting for nothing really. She could easily toast them. But instead, she waited to see what was going to happen.

Syl followed the group, although it had let go of Veronica's arm. It watched everyone carefully, as well as any soldier that it could glimpse. It was nervous because of all the soldiers, and how vulnerable Johnny and Veronica were. It observed and followed in silence, hoping that that Veronica would survive this.

Elain trailed quietly behind Syl, Whatever was going on she didn't really understand. There was still so much about this place that left her utterly lost. Everyone kept muttering about a "World war", she wondered who, what or when this world war had happened. She loathed the fact that she knew nothing about humanity, that she had lived such a sheltered life. It made her angry. Nonetheless, she followed quietly, determined to be of some use. If that was possible.
