Veronica and Deamon have both returned from death itself, and the residents of Animus have been joined by the surviving soldiers, most notably Fleur D'Aubigne. Elsewhere the other being inhabiting Klaire’s body, Soloman, broke free and destroyed two skyscrapers, killing numerous of the mindless residents.
Weeks later, Soloman prepares his final strike against the residents of Animus, a strike that could mean the end for Animus itself.
But one thing is for certain, if Animus is going out, it sure as hell won’t be without a bang.

Soloman sat on the balcony of a building he had claimed as his own, leaning on the railing as he looked over the city.
"A city filled with the filth and washed up scum of humankind. I'm doing a favor to the universe," Soloman muttered, spinning around and walking back into the building. "Any man with half a brain can see that humankind has gone insane."
He walked down the staircase silently, continuing to plot.
Animus would die under his heel.

Jake sat on a bench in the middle of the park, pondering to himself. Was there a way of going back to Earth, or was he trapped here forever? He had his chin in his hand, and was humming a quiet tune, too quiet for anyone to hear unless they were right next to him.

Eminor layed on the grass, staring at the sky dreamily. She turned her head and stared at Jake. She waved her arms and legs about the grass as if she was makign a snow angel, without the snow. She rolled over and slowly tumbled down the small decline in the park's ground, landing at Jake's feet.

Jake was broken from his deep thought by Eminor when she rolled into his feet. He smiled and chuckled slightly. "Are you okay, Eminor?" he asked, leaning over her and looking her over for any apparent injuries from the roll. When he was finished, he asked her a serious question.
"Emmy, do you think there's a way out of Animus? What if we're stuck here forever? Our friends and family will age and forget us, and we'll be left to die in a dimension unknown to all."

She stared at him, hugging his foot. "I don't know, hun, I really don't. I hope we get to leave soon. I miss my old life. Not that I can remember anything much about it, but, I still do miss it.", she said, staring at his shoelaces. "Do you remember if you had anyone...special to you?", she hesitated. "A girl, I mean."

Jake chuckled quietly as she hugged his foot. The contact was childish yet welcome. He paused when she asked the question.
"No. No I don't think I did have a special someone," Jake said, looking up as he tried to remember. "I was a social outcast, from what I can remember. People pointing and laughing, people calling me names, all sort of stuff..."
Taking up on her comment, he smiled. "Well, if we are stuck here, I get to stay here with a beautiful woman," Jake said with a devilish grin.

"Oh my", she replied, grinning. She rubbed the back of his leg, trying to comfort him from the bad memories. "I'm glad if I get stuck with you. It won't be that bad anymore", she said, smiling up at him. She sat up, and shook the grass off of her, hugging her knees.

Jake jumped off of the bench, sitting on the ground next to Eminor. He smiled as he plucked a flew from the ground and looked at it.
"Dandelion," he muttered, blowing the seeds away and smiling as they flew. He closed his eyes, leaning back in the grass.
The past few weeks had been very uneventful. Boy, did he want a change...
He should have been careful what he wished for.

Eem smiled at him, and followed the puffy parts of the weed in the wind with her eyes. She layed back on the grass next to him, turning on her side to look at him. She picked a flowering weed form the ground and admired it, before tucking it into his shirt button.
"It's nice out today", she said, flopping back down with a happy sigh.

Jake smiled as Eminor put the flower in his shirt button. He pulled it out, and looked over at her. "It's pretty, but I think it'd look better in your hair," he said, putting it behind her ear. He then rose to his feet, ending the awkward romance and walking down the street, motioning for Eminor to follow him.

Em sat up, and struggled to her feet. Her legs were both numb. Collapsing again, she cursed at noone in particular and decided she was better off crawling on her hands and knees behind Jake. She started to do so, very painfully.

Jake looked back at her, rushing over and helping her to her feet. He gave her support as they walked together.
"I was thinking, you know. How did we get here? What brought us to Animus? In fact, where *is* Animus? Is it an alternate dimension, another planet, a new plane of existence?" Jake asked, a confused look on his face. He gave a quiet laugh. "If you couldn't tell, I'm the philosophical type."

Em got dragged along as he kept up the pace. "I don't know. Someone probably brought us here. Maybe we were chosen for a reason. I don't know. I'm not the smart one here.", she said, staring at the sky.

"Not the smart one here, eh Emmy?" Jake asked, giving her a playful nudge. "Your medical knowledge and ability to give amazing field dressings would like to say the contrary, Emmy," Jake said with a smile. "I don't think it has anything to do with intelligence at this point. Right now it's really just random speculation. Ah, what I would give to learn more about Animus."

"Well", she said, trying to wiggle her toes in her boots to shake the numb feeling, "We can explore, if you want.".
She poked him on the cheek and smiled, sighing. She yawned. "Mhmm, explore."
