Viscum followed behind Jake and Eminor, with the intention of being a sort of translator to the mindless if neither of them could grasp how to. Eminor was certainly going to be unable to if she continued talking to them with anger or agression.
"And no, nobody was placed in Animus like this, it just isn't how it works." Viscum continued. He didn't have a problem with these people knowing how much he knew or why he knew it. "They were just like you, normal people with lives and families, brought to Animus for some kind of reason, or even born here, but after time Animus gets to a person and either you continue to fight its will or you succumb and become, well, like these people."

Johnny took a seat and added, "From what I understand, this was once a functional city, which kind of accounts for all the people and all the landmarks around us. The people here, the mindless, either never escaped it or they gave in.". Johnny shrugged before he added. "I remember this one kid, a girl named Raven. She was as new as Roth and I were when we first woke up in the city, after a couple weeks, we never saw her again. The other day, as I was walking to the library with Veronica, I could have sworn I saw the girl. She became one of them. What is sad is that most of these people never had a choice, they became the way they are. But her, she had all the strength to fight it, but the girl gave in and gave up, and the moment she did, she died inside.".

"Is it permanent?" Arqus asked, suddenly interested. "I mean, is there any chance they'd snap out of it?"
He scratched his head, baffled. His eyes scanning the place for anyone he might recognize among the mindless.

"That I don't know.", Johnny shrugged. "We never tried... We should actually.".

"I suppose the 'waking up' should come from them and not initiated by someone else." Arqus theorized, rubbing his chin. "They should want it, I guess."
His beautiful blue eyes grew sad, imagining the number of people arriving in Animus, trying to find a way out of it, then eventually giving up and becoming one of the mindless.

"I don't think force'll do anything on them.", Johnny thought out loud as he ran his hand over his chin. "Maybe Roth would know something... She's been tinkering around with spells for weeks.".
Johnny drew out a walkie talkie from his blazer and began speaking. "Roth, its Johnny. Can you hear me?"
"Yes, I can hear you fine."
"Any chance you can meet me in the hospital?"
"I'm on my way there right now. What's the matter?"
"Nothing, there's just something I'm wondering if you can help me out with."
"Alright, I'll contact you the moment, we get there."
"We?"

Arqus shrugged when Johnny looked at him.
"Maybe she was with Syl and the others." He said, taking a seat on one of the plastic chairs.

Viscum had remained silent for several moments, trying to find the right way to state the facts without going into too much detail.
"They can be woken," he finally said, breaking his silence. "But spells wont do it, it needs to be their choice, they need to want it, but furthermore they need to realize it."
He paused, looking around the hospital as they walked, glancing at the mindless. He didn't feel any sadness for them because they had made their own choice. They had given up. They had chosen not to fight any longer.
"Sometimes they will see things that trigger a memory beyond the usual basic memories they still hold. Something deep and personal. That is enough to provide the window necessary for a mindless to break free, but its rare. While they appear mindless there is still a remnant of the old hosts soul in there. When triggered by that personal memory that remnant has a choice to fight. Sometimes its not strong enough, sometimes it just doesn't have the will to try. Either way it is extremely rare for that remnant to break free and take full control of its body."
"Maybe she was with Syl and the others."
"This Veronica you speak off. Does she have brown hair and strong features and is accompanied by others? A blonde woman and a kid who looks neither male nor female?"

Arqus nodded, agreeing with the stranger called Viscum. He sounded like he knows a lot.
"This Veronica you speak off. Does she have brown hair and strong features and is accompanied by others? A blonde woman and a child who looks neither male nor female?"
"Syl and Fleur probably." He thought at the mention of a blonde woman and a child who's neither male or female.
"Yes." Arqus replied out loud. "You can predict what's to come?"

Johnny looked at Viscum and asked, "How the hell do you know that?".

""How the hell do you know that?"
"I share a sort of mental connection with my siblings, Rosa and Mazrin. They are currently present with your friends."
It was true that the three siblings shared a slight mental connection, in which they would know where the others were and those around them. It was a mental connection that could only be used if it was kept open by the other siblings and often came in handy if they were in a tough situation.
"Enter the room." The doctor said to Eminor in his monotonous tone when they finally arrived outside an empty examination room.

Eminor sat on the patients' table, staring at the doctor drowsily. "Well, fix it then", she said, glaring.

The Doctor didn't notice the contempt in Eminor's voice, instead only registering the request for assistance. He looked at her without showing any emotion, taking several seconds before he spoke to her in his monotone voice.
"Please list your symptoms." he said simply before waiting silently for an answer.

"What do you THINK my symptoms are, smartass? I'm bleeding from my nose, and my head hurts! Are you f***ing BLIND?'', she said, raising her voice.

The Doctor didn't respond to her outburst, still standing still waiting for an answer. Viscum heard the outburst from where he was standing, leaning against the door frame, and let out a small laugh. He entered the room and looked at Nush.
"You won't get anywhere with that tone or attitude."
Viscum turned to the doctor and when he spoke, it was once again in an almost melodic voice.
"Nasal bleeding, no sign of fracture. Headache, no blunt force trauma present."
The doctor continued to stare blankly as Viscum grinned at Eminor. Slowly the Doctor seemed to take the information in before he began talking once again in his toneless voice.
"History of head injuries or family disease?"
