The Black goat has by now put everyone in the city to sleep. The aforementioned residents are spared and awake in various parts of the city. Johnny, Veronica, Chains and Tobias soon encounter each other in the streets, and soon Anya shows up, pale and apparently unwell. Veronica is concerned for her, but Anya shakes her head replies that she’s fine.
Trace takes Anya just out of earshot to speak alone with her. It ends with Trace discovering that she is half-vampire, but not the other half, and offering her his blood in exchange for one of her secrets. Anya bites him. Johnny sees her and figures that she’s a vampire. Then Tommy shows up. He uses Johnny’s lighter to light up a cigarette before smoking it.
Trace stops his ‘game’ with Anya to introduce himself to the newcomer, Tommy. Anya rejoins the group, but other than reassuring that she’s fine, doesn’t talk much. Tommy introduces himself, Johnny offers for him to tag along. Neither Trace nor Anya like Tommy that much, and keep a wary eye on him. Myzrael then shows up after having a Zealot summon leave Arqus in the wastelands.
Johnny and co. arrive at the ruins of the school, where they survey the destruction that Myzrael had done to it.

Chains taunts Johnny, and Trace soon joins in. They work together to psychologically torture Johnny, eventually forcing him to reveal that he was Johnny ‘John of the Cross’ Tavalera, otherwise known as ‘God’s right hand’, a killer that worked and killed for God. He says that he was born to kill, born to take people’s lives to provide balance to the world. Myzrael then says that Johnny is selfish to take the lives of others for someone else’s benefit, and that it’s not his purpose to balance the ‘right and wrong in this world.’ He then shows Johnny his wings, a testament to ‘the wrath of the Almightly’ as he puts it.
Trace says that anyone that follows god is ‘crazy’ and that following God will lead to nothing good. This provokes an argument with Myzrael, who says that Trace doesn’t understand. Trace disagrees, revealing that he is a fallen angel as well, although one that has been through hell. Myzrael reveals that he was once a Throne-ranked angel before he fell, and then asks Trace to tell them of how he fell. Trace says he was once even higher than Myzrael in the heavenly hierarchy, a Seraphim-ranked angel, and that he refused to bow down to humanity, and thus was banished. Myzrael says that they are kindred, and they both let go of the flames that they had summoned, where Trace mentions an apocalypse where everyone has to choose a side – to side with God or with Hell.
They then go into the school in an effort to find more on Animus’s past, but find nothing asides from ‘Death comes for all in this city’ written repeatedly in a diary. Johnny then asks for volunteers to go down into the sewers. Myzrael and Tommy volunteer. Johnny then asks where Chains went, wherein Trace finally says that he went after Veronica in the hotel. Johnny and Trace travel to the hotel, with Myzrael following behind them. Anya takes on her panther form and follows a different path to the hotel.
Meanwhile, Veronica drags Arqus onto a sofa in the hotel, wherein Tommy chooses that occasion to pop up in front of her. Giggling maniacally, he lifts Arqus by his head. Veronica draw out her gun and threatens to shot him should he do anything to Arqus. None of them notice that Chains has arrived at the hotel. Myzrael arrives in time to save Arqus. He binds the clown to a wall using black tendrils, and later restrains him with his wings. He lets the clown go when Johnny arrives. Johnny asks if Veronica is okay, to which she replies yes. Johnny asks about Arqus when Veronica mentions him, and Veronica answers that he’s the guy that passed out on the couch. When Johnny asks about Chains, Veronica says that he didn’t do anything.
Johnny picks a fight with Tommy, demanding ‘what is wrong with him.’ Trace soon joins in. Arqus wakes up in the middle of the fight, watching them and wondering who they all are (asides from Veronica, who he met in a previous thread: Click Here For More Information.)
The fight with Trace and Johnny against Tommy eventually comes to an end. Trace then demands who the man on the couch, Arqus, is, and Veronica introduces Trace to him. Tommy demands who Trace is, to which Trace replies his name as well as an amusing title: ‘Supreme Clown Ass Kicker.’
After some talking, Johnny says that they’ll go down to the sewers to find out what’s going on… after he takes a shower and washes off Tommy’s vomit off of himself. While Johnny washes, Myzrael makes a hole in the street in front of the hotel. Johnny, Veronica, Trace, Arqus and Myzrael proceed down into the sewers. They explore a bit, questioning why the Black Goat would hide down here.
A being called Elias sees them, and he soon scurries off to tell the Black Goat of the residents’ arrival. The Black Goat orders the Pe'ar'eñes to be sent to them, and then vanishes. Traces vanishes ahead into the sewers as the group travels on, returning soon after injured. Elias soon chooses this time to ambush the group, with pink, black, gold, green, blue adolescents in armour by his side, who turn out to be Power Rangers. (For more information, see here: Power Rangers Wiki)
The residents fight the Power Rangers, and eventually come out victorious. Anya watches the whole fight, but does little to help. Bremmen takes over Arqus to finish off an approching ranger, before giving control of their body back to Arqus. Arqus pukes as a result. He then sees Tommy as he attempts to cannibalize one of the slain Rangers, which shocks him. Myzrael, finding it disgusting, burns the corpse to ashes with black flames.
He then asks if Arqus is alright, to which Arqus replies yes. They talk a bit, and after one of Arqus’s outbursts, Myzrael takes Arqus away from the so that they can converse privately. During the resulting exchange, their fondness for each other becomes more evident.
When they come back, they decide to continue to search for the Black Goat. Johnny and Trace finish off the last of the Power Rangers, including Elias. He then says that they should get out of the sewers. The residents help each other get out of the sewers by the hole that Myzrael made, except for Tommy who has to get out on his own. Johnny asks them to go take a rest and return in two days time, to which the group members agree to do. And thus ends Chapter 3 – Street Survivors.
