"Yeah, you're right" Selice said softly. She quickly made her way to the check out and stuffed the equipment she had grabbed and stuffed it into bags. Once everything was packed, Selice rushed outside and took to the sky. What in the name of the father is wrong with me? She asked herself, gently cradling her head as she hovered a few feet off the ground, waiting for Asri to join her.

Asri followed Selice through the store, past the checkout and through the door. When he was a reasonable distance from any obstacles, he spread his wings and joined her in the air.
"Come on now, my lady," said Asri, "let's get back to your house. I don't know what's wrong with you, but if you could tell me any other symptoms you have, perhaps... maybe... I can help... I've picked up a few things from the healers in heaven, on angel anatomy and all that... so... um... ah..."
He sighed, looking at her with a worried and concerned expression on his face. It was never a good thing when angels got sick. Their lord created them to be immune to illnesses... well... usually...
"I'm concerned for you, Selice," said Asri, "I don't want to be useless, nor do I want you to die of some illness that... that would..."
He trailed off, nervously applying hand sanitizer and rubbing his hands together. He didn't know what to do... While he prided himself on being able to cure almost anything, he hated admitting that he didn't know everything when it came to medicine. There were still some ailments that were out of his reach to cure...

Selice turned and smiled weakly at Asri. "Don't worry about me, I should be fine" she said softly. She spread her wings and flew off, gaining altitude.
The Angels were about half way back to Selice's new home when she froze in mid flight. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fell from the sky. She began to fall in a downward spiral, heading for the unforgiving pavement. Before she hit the ground, Selice clipped the corner of a building, then a fire escape before finally coming to rest on the blacktop of the street.

“SELICE!”
Asri watched in horror as Selice fell helplessly from the sky, and what’s more, he had no clue what was wrong with her. If only he could help, if only he wasn’t so useless! He flew down to help her, to catch her, but hesitated… he didn’t know if Selice was aware of it, but he was a weak angel. His demon had stripped of almost all of his light-based powers save for his wings. And even, they were weakened.
Asri flew down to the ground to whre where she had landed, where he wouldn’t break his wings, and ran towards her. His expression was very worried, almost panicking.
“SELICE! ARE YOU CONSCIOUS! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!”

Selice was unconscious, laying face down on the cold pavement. She had no idea what had come over her. In all of her years of life she had never once been sick or otherwise, in fact angels were kinda not supposed to get sick....ever. The only case she knew of was when several of her brothers had defected.

Asri reached Selice, panting.
"SELICE!" he cried out.
He tried shaking her, but to no avail. Damn it. Now what? Asri had remembered Selice mentioning that Churches had a healing effect on her. Looking sadly on her, he lifted her up, finding her pretty light, like most angels. Angels were usally built light to facilitate flying. That helped Asri's case. As he was physically weak, he couldn't carry a lot of weight... but this time, maybe he could... manage.
Asri grunted as he lifted up Selice, careful not to touch her skin. It was good that these clothes were new and fairly durable; one touch and his body would be gone. Asri then crouched down, spreading his wings as he jumped upwards, his wings gently brunshing against the ground as they propelled him into the air. The Church...
It stood on a hill surrounded by nature, a holy sanctuary. Well, as it was a church dedicated to god, it wasn't holy to Asri. But anyways, Selice was the important one here. He didn't want to be so useless; he had to help her! He had to! Flying at a breakneck pace, Asri headed for the the church and ran straight in, without really bothering to take in the scenery. He quickly set her down a pew near the front of the church, and sat down beside her, frantically rummaging through his bag for something to help her. Selice was like his patient; and Asri was willing to do anything he could to help her. There had to be something in here!
"Oh, come on!" said Asri desperately, "there has to be something in here! For Luisine's sake, there has to be! When was the last time I treated an angel?! Come on, Selice, don't die on me!"

Selice shifted a bit, hearing her name being called out, though the voice seemed distant and muffled. Her eyes flickered open a bit, though her vision wasn't exactly clear. "...wha...what happened?" she asked softly, bringing her hand up to her forehead to gently rub her throbbing head. A sharp pain filled her body as she moved off the pew slightly. She fell back onto the bench, a pained expression on her face.

Asri sighed in relief as Selice slowly regained consciousness, smiling at her gently.
"Selice, you're alright!" he cried out in joy, "how are you feeling?"
He then noticed the pained expression on her face... she was in pain. Asri bit his lip. Did painkillers work on angels? He had some Advil on hand, but he wondered if it would work on her... And even so, she would have to have the energy to swallow the pills herself, as Asri couldn't touch her for the sake of his life.
"Are you hungry?" he asked, "can... I get you anything, Selice? You fainted... and... I'm sorry... I don't have much experience when it comes to treating diseases within angels other than myself... so I... I wasn't sure what to do. you mentioned that Churches kinda replenish your energy and all that so... I... thought that bringing you here would help... "

"I....I feel utterly terrible" she said with a groan. She slowly sat up and blinked, trying to see without everything appearing as a blurry glob of color. "You need not worry about it Asri, and I thank you for aiding me" she said with a soft warm smile. "I wonder what could have caus-" she started. Then the pain returned, but more intense than anything she had ever felt before. She grabbed at her head and screamed, her voice filling the church with an unearthly wail.
Selice was pulled into her mind. Her eyes went blank as she fell into a strange meditative state.
She stood in a black room, the only light was a blinding spotlight that beamed down on her. The gentle tap tap tap of heeled shoes approached her. "Halt!" she exclaimed. "Who are you? Where am I? What in the name of the Father is going on?" she demanded. A male voice spoke.Selice, I know this is causing you pain, but I had to reach you before the others. You are in danger. The man stepped into the light and Selice gasped. "Michael. What on earth?!" she cried out taking a step back from the Arc Angel. Relax my lovely, I'm not here to harm you, I'm here to warn you. They are coming for you, Selice. Selice took another step back. "who is coming for me? she asked softly. Michael took a few steps forward and seized Selice by her shoulders. Selice, I would not, and I could not ever lie to you. You are one of my only true friends. That's why I am here now. Listen to me. You have fallen out of favor with him...He plans to send the Destroyer and the Collector after you, you are no longer safe. He said softly, gently brushing several strands of loose hair behind Selice's ear. "What on earth are you talking about? How would I have lost favor with the almighty? I have done nothing wrong" she objected. She knew that she hadn't exactly collected a soul in a few months, but was that really a reason to send Ethos and Asphorath after her? All I know is he is upset with you for something, and if you are caught, I can almost guarantee you'll either be turned away from Heaven, or.....or he'll unmake you Michael said softly. My time is up, I must leave you now He added, leaning in. Michael seized Selice's lips with his own. Take care of yourself, and try to get back on his good side.
Selice sank back into her own state of consciousness and shook her head, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Michael's words were still sinking in to her skull. The almighty was angry with her.... Just the idea scared her senseless. Her frame shook and she had began to sweat. "....Asri...".

Asri shrieked in surprise as her wail pierced through the church. His ears by now were unaccustomed to angelic sounds like this, as it had been weeks since he had last seen Heaven. The cry was so piercing, so full of despair, that it brought tears to Asri's eyes. He hated seeing people suffer. He hated having to kill. He hated watching people in agony when he could do nothing to help.
It was heart-breaking to see such a beautiful thing as an angel being tormented. Especially that situation applied to him, since his demon still tormented him now in his dreams. The tears dropped ever faster when he heard her call his name. Asri couldn't help himself. He knew that he wasn't supposed to touch her, but from the looks of it, she really needed to be comforted... Asri took a pack of disposable gloves from his bag, opened it and put the gloves on. That way, he wouldn't be killed by touching her skin with his hands. He had noticed that clothing was a sufficient barrier against her power, so these gloves would work nicely as well.
Very gently, Asri held her own gloved hand. he shuddered when he touched it, fearing the worst, but all he wanted to do was help. He hated seeing her suffer... And all the while, his tears continued to stream down his face.
"Selice... I'm here for you... please... hang in there..."

Tears ran down Selice's cheeks as she sat there with Asri. "....I....He's sent them to get me....." she said softly, her body and voice shaking like a leaf.

Asri held her hand, looking at her with a helpless expression on his face.
"Who has he sent?" he asked, "why? What can we do about it?! There has to be some way that I can help!"
Asri was almost panicking. He didn't know what to do; he was a weak angel, but a contractor. Perhaps he could sign a contract with her pursuers in exchange for her life, but if it was god she was talking about, they would be dissauded so easily. What was he supposed to do? I don't want to be useless, I don't want to be useless, I don't want to be useless, thought Asri, I don't want to be weak... I didn't ask for this! What the hell am I supposted to do now?!

Selice trembled. "He.....He said he was unhappy with me. I don't know what I did, or how to escape it" she said softly. "The Collector and the Destroyer never fail in capturing the one they are sent after" she whispered.

Asri sighed as he sat beside her, looking at her sadly. He was in the business of dealing with Fallen angels, who were often capricious and unpredictqable by nature. And as such, he vaguely remembered those names... somewhere... The Collector, the Destroyer... hmm...
"This is not the first time I've dealt with Fallen and other angels that have displeased god," said Asri, "in Heaven, I held - and still technically hold - one of the most dangerous jobs you could ever imagine - to save Fallen angels. If these two are open to negotiation, I mght be able to sign a contract with you with their permission. That contract may save you in the eyes of your lord, provided that I can gather evidence that you have redeemed yourself and present it to the Heavenly Court."
Asri paused for a few minutes to let the information sink in. What he didn't mention anything about the requested payment he would want. If he was to get a contract to save Selice, she would be his client. If the Destroyer and the Collector allowed it, that is. That meant that she would have to pay him for saving her. And that payment might surprise her. Might.
"I'll see what I can do for you, my lady," said Asri, "even if saving the Fallen and disgraced angels is a dangerous and complicated business..."

Selice wiped away her tears. Asri's offer was amazing, almost to amazing to believe and when a deal sounded to good to be true it usually was. There was always a catch. She turned a bit to look Asri in his eyes. "And if I ask for your help, what shall you receive in return?" she asked softly. Selice had never even entertained the idea she would fall out of grace with God, so she had never thought about having knowledge on a lawyer.
