A velvety voice echoed in the dark.
"Arqus...Arqus wake up." Bremmen said softly. "Are you okay?"
Arqus heard the demon summoning him back to consciousness. There was nothing he could do but obey him. He regarded the fact that there was a hint of concern in Bremmen's voice. It was the first time he heard it.
"Y-yes." He replied, his lips not moving. He felt cold. "I-I think so..."
The moment Arqus fluttered open his eyes. Light suddenly filled the entire place. He was stunned when he realized that his entire body was encased inside the diamond like tomb Bremmen created for them. He was in a fetal position.
"Where is all that light coming from?" Bremmen thought loudly inside Arqus' head. "Aren't we supposed to be deep underground recuperating?"
"I-I dunno, I just woke up, remember?" Arqus replied, a little dizzy.
A voice erupted from the light surrounding the diamond tomb. It was talking in some old foreign language Arqus can't understand. Although some of the words sounded familiar. Something he heard Bremmen mutter ones in a while.
"Greetings Uncle." Bremmen suddenly spoke out. "It has been a while since we've talked."
Arqus kept quiet, realizing that Bremmen must be talking to one of the Norse Gods. The voice talked some more. He sounded wise, almost elderly in fact.
"You know me." Bremmen lightly chuckled. "I like adventure. And No I wouldn't wish to go back to Helgard. I like it here."
The "uncle" the demon was referring to put on a more serious tone this time. Bremmen laughed hysterically.
"You should pick your followers carefully next time Uncle. You should warn them about the perils of making out with your nephew." The demon bit back then laughed. "Pity how he prayed for you to come to his aide and save him. I suppose you were busy playing father with your son, Thor."
It occurred to Arqus that Bremmen was talking to the King of the Norse God, Odin. The voice sounded angry this time. It growled and the mortal Arqus could feel his surroundings trembling. It scared him.
"You have always been a selfish brat prince of Helgard, Bremmen. Now you will learn what my son Thor learned years ago. You give me no choice." Odin's voice faded, with a hint of sadness.
Arqus wondered what Odin meant. He wasn't familiar with the thunder god, Thor's, story.
"You would not dare Uncle!" Bremmen groaned, furious. "My father would not let you! He wouldn't!"
