"Identical"
He woke up with something cold and solid pressed against the right side of his face. He groaned the moment a headache kicked in. Fluttering open his eyes, Bremmen found himself lying flat on his belly on concrete. His long flowing blond hair covering most of his beautiful but pale face.
Using his arms, he pushed himself up and staggered to his feet. Finally, it occurred to him that he was standing on a roof deck, of some old building.
He squinted the moment sunlight caught his eyes and used his hand to protectively shield them.
"Wretched sun." Bremmen gruntled, using one hand to shield his eyes, while using the other to rake his hair away from his face.
He swallowed hard and it felt dry, like he was breathing in desert sand or something.
"I must have been unconscious for quite a while." Bremmen thought to himself, walking towards the edge of the building.
He paused, finding it weird that he referred to himself as a singular person, rather than his usual "we", with the blasted human host and all.
"Arqus..." He mouthed the name, remembering.
There was no reply.
Waking up felt different. Not unlike the ones he has grown accustomed to. This one felt ... weird. Incomplete somehow. Like there was something missing and he felt it.
"Arqus wake up." He demanded inside his head. "Wake up you filthy human. Something's not right."
Nothing.
So he continued, eyes marveling at the leaking sunlight from the buildings, it was dawn.
"Arqus this is no time to.."
Bremmen's sentence trailed off the moment he saw who's on the other roof deck of the adjacent building.
A man stood, facing him on the other side. He had the same golden blond hair, eyes and nose. He was as tall and had the same built as he does.
Heck , "it" looked exactly like him.
"Hey.." The man spoke and then yawned. It seemed like the guy just got up as well. He looked a bit groggy, then he added "What am I doing over there?"
From the way he spoke and that warm look on his eyes, Bremmen knew who he is...
"Arqus?"
