His face burned, hands throbbed and his shoulder screamed out in pain. If that was not enough displeasure for him,, he realized he was laying in a bed. He felt himself roll over, slam onto the floor and was greeted with a welcome chill from the floor and wave of pain. He could feel a grin grow for the moment before he passed out.
He felt the talons against his ankle, then his shoulder and a loud shriek in his right ear. He waved off the falcon and rolled to his side and slowly sat up. He glanced around in the darkness, watching the slit of light from under the door for a few seconds and looked around the room slowly. The bed beside him, a small drawer beside it, and in the corner he thought he could see a dresser and a potted plant. The door was on the other side of the bed from him. A window faced the bed, a door was open, coathangers and shirts and skirts lined the closet. The falcon hopped up to the bed and looked down at him, tilted its head to one side and looked around the room again.
Monk stood up and checked his body. His hands were bruised and his face was slightly swollen. His leg felt like lead.
He walked over to the dresser and started to look through it. The top drawer was empty, the second he found his old bag. He picked it up carefully and looked at it carefully. He lifted the strap over his head and let it fall on his shoulder.
listen, junior, this will help you out in the future. I made it for you, by my master's request. He told me that you were picked to go train the people in the villages. go see brother cho, he will make sure you have the supplies you'll need for your travel, safe travels and take care of him falcon
He looked over to the bed and saw falcon staring back at him. He heard the shriek again as he moved a hand into the bag. He felt around and pulled out the small bag. Another shriek and he knew what it was before he even looked. He pulled out a small treat and tossed it to the bird.
"at least one of us will have something to eat. what say we get looking for more favourable sites."
He turned to look out the window. He pulled the latch and lifted up the window. The falcon flew out first and circled around outside as he crawled out and dropped down to the streets. He could hear some voices and watched as the falcon flapped his way down the street and back, then checked the other way.
The falcon flapped back out the first way and shrieked. The monk quickly checked his bag and rubbed his shoulder before he started to jog down the street.
