Gender – None, really. It doesn’t associate itself with any particular gender, nor does it care if people refer to it as ‘he’ or ‘she.’
Memories(remember/forgotten) – Mostly fragmented or forgotten, but a few are still present – especially those concerning its older sibling, Kielleas. Syl, oddly enough, has little to no visual memories of the past; just bits and pieces of information that comes to mind whenever a familiar person or event comes up.
Religion – Forgotten
Personal Philosophy – Survival is paramount – all else is secondary (well, except the few people it actually cherishes, like Kiel, Asri and Kure, for example)
Personality – Usually Syl is socially awkward, but otherwise very friendly, amiable, caring and very easy to get along with. It's usually innocent and cheerful, sometimes oblivious to certain facts others may find obvious. This is Syl's default persona, known as Seth, although it is amnesiac and still goes by 'Syl.' Depending on the circumstances, though, a darker side (called Syn) can emerge, which can be quite impassive, intellectual and even a bit cynical. Unfazed by violence, death and even the most terrifying of circumstances. Unlike Seth, who wouldn't hurt a soul, Syn is not a pacifist.
Generally speaking though, Syl likes asking questions, and has a keen thirst for knowledge – about Animus, various random subjects and anyone that catches its interest. Has a tendency to think analytically and logically, although the frequency has faded due to a bug enhancing Syl's emotions. Verbose; if given the chance, Syl can go into long explanations and monologues. Tends to get attached to people quickly and easily.

Description - An innocent and carefree soul, Syl (or Seth) is treasured by its family and firmly under their protection, both from itself and its past. Generally speaking, Syl makes friends easily and is rather child-like despite its appearance, wantsing nothing more than to be happy and explore new places. However, it has a dark past, one that Kiel hasn't completely informed it of yet... as well as various personalities that it doesn't even know it has, or how it even acquired in the first place.
Talents/Flaws –
Talents – Very agile. Elemental manipulator – Wind/water specialist. Flight (no wings – manipulates wind in order to so. Syl is very light, so this is a very efficient process.)
Skilled magic-user, although its magic differs somewhat from Kiel's. Syl's magic focuses more on support, defence and analytic spells, due to its pacifism. Syl and Kiel's magic system works in a similar fashion as programming a computer, so it's usually not a good idea to disrupt Syl's concentration while it is casting.
Massive energy storage capacity, comparable to a small Mana well (which is an enormous amount for one person to hold.) Syl was specifically trained for many years to be able to store such amount of energy with minimal instability, resulting in its capability to down massive amounts of sugar without any ill effects, unlike with overdosing on water. As such, Syl is Kiel and Asri's lifeline as they can borrow its power whenever necessary. It should be noted though that most of Syl's energy is sealed away to prevent instability, so it only has access to a small part of it at any given time.
Flaws – Curiosity. Pacifist (refuses to fight unless it absolutely must, which may not always work out in its favour as Syl is not a particularly good negotiator; note that this only applies to Seth). Socially awkward, which may result in giving someone else the wrong impression. Sensitivity. Addiction to sugar - can be used to great affect to cheer it up or gain its approval. Anti-magic poison. Anti-magic weapons.
Tattoos/Scars – Symmetrical, purplish-red markings on its back, which look like a chaotic blend of waves and curves; significance unknown. No scars.

Mental/Physical Illnesses – Sometimes hallucinates, either without realizing it or knowing that what it sees is not real. Most hallucinations are small, but the true limits of it are unknown, as is the cause. They mostly revolve around writing and letters, and are the reason why Syl can't read anything properly. It is literate, but the hallucinations often cause it confusion when reading books, signs and labels. It may also be behind Syl's dislike of school, most conventional education and 'hairy old professors' as it puts it.
Occupation – Grim reaper (serves Azrael, the Angel of Death, although it is currently not under orders)
Hobbies/Interests – Learning about the world, exploring, observing people, trying to figure out humanity in general, flying, good conversation, adventure (the exploring and finding out about the wonders of nature sort), spending time with Kiel, Asri and Kure, making friends, ingesting massive amounts of sugar

The notebook is strange because the writing changes over time and tends to relate to Syl’s situation, but when anyone else attempts to read it, the pages are blank.
Past Life (if memory is retained) –
Mostly forgotten.
It does have memories of its sibling Kiel, who spent much time with humans and was changed as a result. Syl also knows that it was caught in the middle of some disaster, one which resulted in plenty of death and suffering. Syl does not know the details of what happened, and Kiel is loathe to reveal the details, but it does not hold any guilt for what it may have done if it was the instigator.
It has been revealed by Kiel that the two siblings have a history working with Azrael, the Angel of Death, collecting souls and occupying themselves with other tasks such as raiding forgotten ruins, destroying undead, helping ghosts move on and... saving fallen angels. It was an occupation that Syl worked with Kiel (naturally), as well as an angel lawyer by the name of Asarek, known as the 'Angel of Plagues.' Upon seeing that Syl wasn't affected by Asri's diseases, and with the kindness they showed each other, he eventually swore himself to be Syl's guardian, to protect it no matter what, and with that, dedicated his life to it, which, suprisingly enough, actually saved his life. Although Syl is mischievious enough to sometimes slip through Asri's fingers, and wander off on its own. Which often causes Asri to worry about it.
It was also at one time in their adventures that Syl, Asri, and Kiel stumbled upon the Settlement, a city built after a nuclear war which caused the world's governments to collapse, and radiation and disease to run rampant, leaving only pockets of survivors in its wake.
It was several months and Syl, Kiel and Asri turned up at the Settlement's doorstep, seemingly out of nowhere, when it meet Kure. At first it thought him strange, but that feeling of strangeness turned to fascination, then from fascination to a deep friendship, and from friendship to love. It eventually fell in love with him, won over by his gentle and caring nature, despite the demon that resided within him.
Syl grew closer to Kure, and eventually confessed its love to him (and vice versa) in a wonderful cave that seemed like the perfect paradise, an oasis amidst the wastes... but little did they know, that oasis held a dark secret, and Syl's perfect day soon turned sour... little did any of them know, that oasis was once where Kure's old village stood. In search of glowing red fish, they accidently stumbled upon it. Syl was immediately affected by the intense radiation and immense amount of poisons that permeated the place, and was horrified at their discovery.
Things went downhill from there, and in the end, Syl had to 'rescue' Kure out of the village, by getting him to snap out of it. This came at the price of Syl's welfare, forcing Kure to carry it back. Syl recovered quickly, and after spending the rest of the day together, they returned to Settlement after spending the rest of the day together, to tell Kiel and Asri of their affair. Asri, to say the least, did not take it well and ended up unconscious on the floor. Kiel was more accepting, but otherwise cautious. Since then, Syl believed that it would never forget that day... until everything came apart and it was sent to a strange city in another dimension... Animus.
Its purpose and reason for coming here are unknown to Syl; for all intents and purposes, it just wants to get the best out of life and its friends.
Appearance -
Appears as a young, androgynous human (Syl’s species is gender-neutral). Syl has a slender frame, a fair complexion, long black hair and red eyes. It has no strict taste in fashion, but favours pretty and light clothing, an example being the Asian-style outfit portrayed in its character pic (which Kiel picked out for it when it decided to have some fun dressing up Syl at some point). It also wears a plain red coat with strange patterns around the edges, along with black pants and a red shirt. Syl is notable for ALWAYS wearing red, its favourite colour.
It is also currently in possession of Daemon's scythe, which it used to carry around but now keeps in a secure location in memory of its friend. This is more practical as Syl has no use for it; having no experience or knowledge on how to use melee weapons in combat.
