Approaching the church, Veronica walked beside Syl and asked, "How are you feeling?". There was an innocence to Syl that Veronica couldn't quite place a finger on; regardless of what it was, she thought it was best to look out for it.
Deep inside, her heart raced. She couldn't tell if she could handle another surprise; then again, she figured, ought to be used to it by now... Anything's possible here. Looking at it from another angle, she's glad she's been busy, she's glad she been doing something.
"Boredom is the first step to depression...", she murmured softly; albeit surprised how the words just came straight out of her lips.

Syl nodded to Veronica.
"Miss Veronica," it said, "I certainly do agree. If I hadn't encountered you, I might have gone mad of loneliness."
There was some silence between them. Syl was starting to like Veronica, but kept its expression impassive. Emotion was not its strong point - it was present, but it was weaker than with humans. It would be best if Syl kept itself unreadable. It didn't want to let crucial imformation slip to their... new companions.
Of their group, Syl suspected that one of them might be someone it hadn't met before. It had be careful and analyze the situation accordingly. Until then, it could look out for Veronica and if possible, keep an eye on Myzrael.
As for the church, it was rather ominous-looking. Hence, it was rather fitting that Syl could feel an ominous presence from within the church. It couldn't identifuy what it was specifically, though.
"Tell me, if Mr. Johnny wants us to ckeck this church out with the others, then... where are they?"

"Their heading back to the motel, to room number four, the place where we all woke up.", Veronica replied.

Arqus jogged towards the church when he spotted a group of people approaching the building. He was on his way back to the Admiral Hotel when he saw the group.
The first one he recognized from the group was Myzrael and his towering form and dark wings. His eyes immmediately found Veronica. He immediately gave her a weak smile.
"Sorry, I over slept." He muttered, raking his fingers through is blond hair. It got longer since the last time he met everyone.
His eyes travelled to the 'person' standing next to Veronica... and then acknowledged Fiona with a nod. His eyes quickly shot back to the 'person' standing in between Veronica and Fiona.
"Who's this?"

Veronica waved before she wrapped her arm around Arqus' shoulder and smiled. "Arqus, I want you to meet Syl. Syl is new here, so you promise to be good to Syl?"

"Wow." Arqus thought, gazing up and down discreetly at the "person" with the long black hair. "I was gone for what? 2 days and Veronica's got a new 'pokemon'?"
He was a wee bit jealous, especially when Veronica told him to be good to Syl. It's like this Syl is her new favorite or something.

Syl glanced around at its companions, Myzrael was there, hovering above them, watching Syl closely. Understandably, the first impression hadn't gone too well, but it could have been worse. I must find some way to mend things with him, thought Syl, if we can get along, then my life her will be a whole lot easier.
There was also another woman hiding in the shadows, watching. Her aura closely resembled Anya's, but was far more bloody. She had killed a lot of people too. Syl would have to keep an eye on her to ensure that she wouldn't go for Veronica's throat. Her scarred body and stern, wary composure hinted at her potential agressiveness. Syl could probably take her on, but only if absolutely necessary.
Syl gave the blond newcomer an awkward smile. He appeared human, but who knows? He might have some tricks up his sleeve.
"Ah, good day to you, sir," said Syl, bowing, "my name is Sylredrae, or Syl. How are you on this fine day?"

Veronica dropped her head and looked at Arqus, asking, "So?"
"Ofcourse." He replied.
"Ah, good day to you, sir," said Syl, bowing, "my name is Sylredrae, or Syl. How are you on this fine day?"
He pushed the right sleeve of his sweater up to his elbow and offered a hand to the newcomer called Syl.
"I'm good. Hi. I'm Arqus."

Learning from his past experience with Veronica, Syl assumed that Arqus was offering the same gesture as her. It shook Arqus's hand.
"Pleased to meet you Mr. Arqus."
Syl scanned Arqus up and down as it did with Trace. Now, he didn't look so human when it took into account his aura. Syl couldn't see auras, but it could sense them. This one was truely demonic - that of a high-ranking demon. Oh good, thought Syl, a demon. A very powerful one too; at the moment I can't pin down a specific type. A pit lord perhaps? A minor demon god? A devil? A marquis? Hard to tell.
This was getting more complicated. It fascinated and annoyed Syl at the same time. And here it thought that its strength would be benefical to Myzrael. Looks like it wasn't so special.
What is it with this place? thought Syl, How could so many powerful beings be crowded in one city? Still, I must be courteous. I must not paint myself as arrogant, self-centered or haughty. I must not been seen as a threat.
"Are you a friend of miss Veronica's?" asked Syl. unsteadily. It felt a bit nervous, as it glanced back up at Myzrael.

This Syl character gripped his hand a little too hard than a regular handshake needed. But it was not hard enough to make Arqus curse in pain.
He thought that this new character is definitely not human, heck, he couldn't even tell if it's a boy or a girl.
Arqus withdrew his hand from Syl. As he was about to tuck his hand into his trousers, he noticed a red satin ribbon neatly tied around his right wrist.
He remembered where he got it. After his conversation with Bremmen was over, the crystal that encased his physical body shattered, freeing him. Shards of crystals were all over the place. He was surprised to see the dried up fountain working in perfect condition. A black feather on the ground clued him as to who made it all happen. He picked it up.
One of the 'zombie' citizens of Animus walked passed his that time, a young girl in a sailor school uniform. Arqus remembered snatching the red satin ribbon out of the girl's head and tying it around his wrist. This would remind him of everything Bremmen told him. This would remind him why he needed to get out of Animus.
Arqus snapped back to reality and gazed at Syl.
"I'm sorry. What are you?"

Veronica smiled and turned back to Syl, "Arqus is a dear friend."
Veronica motioned away from the group as they neared the church. Turning back to them, she said, "We are here..."

Syl cocked its head in confusion. It snatched its hand away when it felt this... 'Arqus' react to the pain. Oh dear, thought Syl, did I do it wrong? Last time I did it to lightly, now I'm too hard? I thought I wasn't that physically strong. Feels wierd, but I guess that explains why I can walk for so long without tiring in the least.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Arqus," said Syl, feeling some concern for him, "did I hurt you? Is... there something wrong about me?"

"No." Arqus said, tucking both his hands inside his white hooded sweater's pockets.
"I...." He started to say, searching for the right words. He doesn't want him offended. He wanted to ask if he was a boy or a girl.
"I..." Arqus said again. Then his face frowned and said, "Never mind, forget 'bout it. I just woke up, I'm a little weird or something."
He gave out a light chuckle.
"How long have you been here? In Animus I mean."
