The Moloch roared, and charged towards Myzrael.
Myzrael deftly flew out of the way. The Moloch met empty space.
‘I must keep the others away from this battle’ Myzrael thought. He closed his eyes for a moment, and a transparent barrier formed around him and the Moloch, with the others outside of it. A second barrier of a translucent black material reinforced the first one. The Moloch and Myzrael were now trapped inside a large dome.
‘Demonic spawn such as yourself need to fight the power of an angel, not anyone elses!’ Myzrael shouted, an ice spear materializing in his hands. He threw it at the Moloch, but as soon as it touched its scaly skin, it melted.
The Moloch roared with laughter.
'Capiet praeter leviculus elementum veneficus ut vulnero mihi!' He said, as he reached out and slashed Myzrael, his speed deceptively hidden by his large size. His claws connected with Myzraels torso, and the dark angel staggered back.
(Translation:
It will take more than silly elemental magic to hurt me!)
Myzrael was taken by surprise. The demon was fast. He checked himself. The wound was superficial. Because the Moloch was a demonic creature, it was capable of seriously maiming, even killing, angels.
‘Especialic angelus non sub tutela of Divinus Lux lucis’ the Moloch said, reading Myzraels’ mind. He began to advance towards Myzrael.

Especially angels not under the protection of Divine LightMyzraels form shimmered with energy. Spreading his wings wide, dark energy shot out of them, striking the demon and holding him back. With some hand movements, Myzrael attempted to restrain the demon. He got hold of the Moloch’s hands and legs. He then channeled lightning into the black tendrils, attempting to electrocute the demon.
The Moloch roared in pain, and struggled against his bonds. He felt the lightning shoot through his system. However his scales served as a powerful magical deterrent, so he did not take as much damage. He looked at Myzrael, and opened his mouth wide. Red hot flames erupted from it, bathing the dark angel. The dark tendrils holding him loosened, and he broke free, still breathing fire on Myzrael. The angel was not visible because of the flames. When Moloch stopped his fire, Myzrael appeared , ensconced in a water sphere.
‘My turn.’ Myzrael said.
Extending his hands forward, water gushed from the sphere surrounding him, covering the demon and crystallizing itself into ice. The Moloch was now completely encased in ice. Myzrael had four feathers come off his wings, and they became four Zealots.
‘GO!’ Myzrael shouted to them. He needed to buy time. To beat this demon he must use all his power, and that would take time to bring forward. He rose to the top of the dome, where he closed his eyes and started summoning strength. The inside of the dome became covered in runes, and the barriers started becoming rainbow colored, as Myzrael summoned energy to him.
The Zealots obeyed Myzraels command, and rushed towards the Moloch. Just as they were about to strike through the ice, the Moloch broke out of his imprisonment, and swatted at them. He managed to hit two of the Zealots, who dissipated. He continued to try to attack the Zealots, who were circling him, stabbing and slicing at his body.
‘Just a while longer..’ Myzrael prayed, still concentrating on his spell. The dome was coalescing in shades of purple and pink now, with an epicenter of gold at the bottom, kind of like a bullseye. Myzrael held his hands in front of him, inches apart from each other, and a ball of energy formed within them.
‘This is the power of the Void, my Void..’ Myzrael thought.
The Moloch looked upwards, and saw what the angel was doing. He growled, and beat his wing upward, sending a wind blade. He quickly breathed fire onto it, causing the wind blade to increase in velocity and become a burst of flame shaped like a boomerang. Myzrael saw it coming.
A Zealot flew in between the flame attack and Myzrael, taking the attack. It dissipated.
The Moloch jumped, aiming to decapitate Myzrael. The dark angel evaded the attack, but sustained another wound on his right arm. He kept the energy he was focusing in his left hand, as his right arm was the arm that sustained the injury.
He flew backwards, and aimed the energy ball at the Moloch.
‘Die demon!’ He shouted as he projected the energy towards the demon. Power exploded out of Myzraels left hand, as the focused energy pulsed towards the Moloch.
The demon held his hands out to meet the ball. Black energy formed a shield that the energy Myzrael issued connected with. There was a tremendous burst of light, and a great shockwave shook the dome Myzrael had cast. Smoke and dust was thrown into the air because of the concrete and earth under their feet, and when the smoke cleared, the Moloch was still there.
Myzrael was in shock. He was incredibly weakened from summoning such amounts of energy. The last remaining Zealot flew to Myzraels side, aiding him to fly.
‘Est ut totus vos have , atrum angelus?!’ He sneered, laughing in his great voice mockingly. He charged forward, smashing aside the Zealot, and grabbed Myzrael with his right hand, crushing him. There were cracking sounds as Myzraels wings were broken.
(Translation:
Is that all you have, dark angel?!)
Myzrael cried out, as his wings were broken, and as he felt the crushing grip of the Moloch. He stared at the eyes of the demon defiantly. There was only one thing he could do now..
A voice in Myzraels head cried out. It was Vittorio.
‘Myzrael! Do not use that technique! This is an overlord of the Abyss, not a regular demon. He might use it to enter your mind and corrupt it.. Corrupt us!’ Vittorio pleaded.
‘I don’t have any other choice..’ Myzrael admitted. He did not say it, but Vittorio was the only human he ever really cared about. Ironic, it must be vanity then, as Vittorio was a part of himself. A part he did not like to show, yet loved.
Myzrael continued to stare at the demon, and opened up his mind. He was going to use his illusion technique. Granted it was dangerous, as it was the mind of a crazed overlord demon, but he had no choice.
He had to protect Vittorio. And others he cared about.. He glanced towards the stranger outside the barrier for a second, then turned back to the demon. His eyes turned violet, and he attacked the Moloch mentally.
It was chaotic; it was madness. He was in a world of fire and brimstone. Suddenly his body was wracked by waves of pain and anguish. It was like no other pain he had ever felt before. He was on a pile of bodies and severed limbs on burning ground, next to a burning river. The sky was red and it rained flames that hit his surroundings, showering him with embers. His wings were bloody and mangled, and he writhed in torment as a man watched nearby. The Moloch had reflected his illusion back at Myzrael, and multiplied its power tenfold with his demonic essence.
The man had the same goats horns as the Moloch. Other than that, he wore a simple black robe and didn’t have distinguishable features. He grabbed Myzrael by the neck and held him up, staring into his eyes.
'Operor vos vere reputo vos can evinco mihi per leviculus illusios?' He laughed, a cruel laugh, as he crushed Myzraels throat.

Do you really think you can defeat me with silly illusions)
Myzrael managed to pull himself away, choking and retching. ‘I…Cant defeat you like this… But it served its purpose..’ Myzrael said, before collapsing.
The man’s eyes opened in alarm. He concentrated.
Myzrael and the Moloch were suddenly back in the real world. The demon was surrounded by black flames, the very flames of Myzrael that consumed whatever it touched. While Myzrael and the Moloch were in the illusion, the last Zealot with what remaining energy remained in him, managed to channel the black flames onto the Moloch.
The Moloch screamed in pain, as he crushed the limp form of Myzrael, then flung it to the ground. The angel hit the ground hard. The demon raised his massive foot, and drove it into Myzrael over and over, crushing him further into the ground. The Zealot dissipated, and the flames ceased, but the demon kept stomping on the prone form of the battered angel. He stopped when he noticed the barrier was degrading; He issued flames from his mouth, and destroyed the dome separating him and the others.
His skin was burned, his scales rendered useless as some parts of his demonic skin was exposed. He turned his attention to the others. He smiled, and started towards them.
