Veronica switched on her lighter filling the darkness with a haunting yellow glow. Veronica motioned forward, thinking that Johnny should have bought some flashlights... Maybe he didn't expect the group to search in darkness.
Veronica stopped.
Can't think about him now... Gotta move on forward...
... That static... Heard if before... White Noise... No, it couldn't be white noise... Something happened... What?
Veronica jumped as she heard a thud behind her. Turning back, she saw Arqus.
Veronica smiled, she was relieved to be in his presence. Closing her eyes, she embraced Arqus and asked, "Johnny's going to be alright, right?"

Myzrael saw Veronica embrace Arqus, and a sudden surge of anger rushed through him. His face flushed, and he dropped onto the ground heavily. He placed his hand flat on the ground, and the earth shook a little.
Suddenly, an slab of rock jutted out from the earth, coming up in the space where Arqus and Veronica were hugging a second ago. It missed her by centimeters. Had she not released Arqus from her embrace, she would have been smashed into the ceiling.
The earth receded slowly, and Myzraels' eyes glittered violet in the wan light coming from her lighter. Her fear and initial shock from his elemental manipulation was palpable.
'Why so serious?' He asked, cruelty apparent in his tone.

Looking up at Myzrael, Veronica shouted, "What the hell did you do that for?!"

Myzrael walked towards Veronica. He stared her in the eyes.
'Keep your hands to yourself, or I shall make sure you will have no need for them any longer..'
When he said those words, the temperature in the tunnel dropped, and a cold wind started blowing.

Arqus was just as surprised. He didn't expect Myzrael to join them down there.
He squeezed in between Myzrael and Veronica. Facing the dark angel he explained, "She was worried about Johnny! I think his group was in some sort of trouble. You don't have to be so demonically possesed about it!"

Myzrael pushed himself against Arqus. He could feel the others body heat warming him.
'She doesnt need to be so touchy. I didnt know you two were an item now.. Perhaps if Johnny would find out, this could be settled in a much more..' He twirled some of his silver hair in his fingers. ' Delicate way?'

Arqus furrowed his eyebrows at Myzrael. He was acting like...he's jealous or something. He took a step back to make some space between him and the angel. Veronica stood behind him.
"She's a friend and here on Earth, it's ok to hug friends." He defended. "On second thought, you wouldnt know. You don't have friends."

Veronica approached Myzrael and said, "There's no reason for you to be this way. All I was looking for was a hug- emotional validation from a friend. Just a simple gesture that would let me feel that Johnny was alright." Tears began to slowly roll Veronica's face.

Myzrael looked at Veronica. 'And of course you would get off knowing that Arqus is just dying to have you for himself. YES i know, im an empath after all. Lets get going already.'
He turned to Arqus once more. 'Well then, ARQUS, all you have to do is tell me to leave you alone, and i shall. How about that?' He raised a coy eyebrow.

Veronica looked at Arqus and said, "I'm sorry, I had no idea. I hope this doesn't change things between us as friends."

Removing his gaze from Myzrael, Arqus turned his attention to Veronica, a little embarrassed that the angel would say something like that.
"It's okay. Don't mind him. We're friends Veronica and you're the first 'human' I met in Animus. I have so much respect for you. That's it." He advised. "Nothing will change."
'Well then, ARQUS, all you have to do is tell me to leave you alone, and i shall. How about that?'
He gave Myzrael an annoyed look. He was excited to see him. He wanted to thank him for what he did with the foutain, but because of what he did just now, he was beginning to despise him again.
"I don't control you Myzrael. I'm not your God." He stated. "You can do whatever you like."

Veronica looked back at Arqus and said, "Thank you."
Veronica walked past Myzrael and Arqus and walked down what seemed like a never ending hallway. Veronica looked at the side and saw murals along the walls. The murals reminded her or early Christian art. Stopping to take a look, Veronica made out what appeared to be a painting of a burial with the image of a spirit floating heavenward.

Myzrael smiled. Arqus wanted him around, he knew it.
And it was exactly what the dark angel wanted as well.
He walked with Veronica. He pointed at the murals. 'Those look like angels. Or spirits.'

Arqus lagged behind the two, eyebrows furrowed. Myzrael knows exactly how to tease him. He knows he's confused with his feelings for him and Arqus was certain that he felt the same way.
He doesn't wanna sulk in it for the mean time. They came to this church for a purpose and he would do everything to help.
"This one depicts human sacrifices."
Arqus was looking at the other side of the wall Veronica was looking at. It had drawings of beings with horns, tails, feathered and bat like wings, cutting the head of people and throwing them in a pit on the ground.

Veronica crossed her arms and looked at Myzrael, "The style of the paintings are so simple that its almost hard to tell between the two." Veronica looked at the opposite wall where an image suddenly caught her attention. It was a woman, who bore a striking resemblance to her standing by a gate.
"What the?", she muttered.
