Trace jumped backwards, avoiding the initial attack, before surrounding his entire body in a fiery shield, hot enough to destroy any substance, bone included.
There was a ringing in his ears, and it was slowly getting louder. This wasn't good, not right now. He wasn't sure how they had found him, or which side they were, but if he got lucky then maybe... just maybe things were going to come in his favor.

Soloman smiled once the shield erupted. The bone retracted into his body, and her ran to the window.
"Sorry Trace. I don't have time to play with you," he said simply. He pressed the button, and a timer started counting down on the bombs. Twenty seconds was all Trace had to disarm five bombs. He didn't stand a chance, did he?
Soloman spread his wings, flying to a building close enough to reach in 20 seconds, but far enough away to watch the explosion from a safe distance.

Trace watched as the timer counted down. He didn't care about the skyscraper and the blast couldn't hurt him. But the buzzing was getting louder, and he could feel it coming. He didn't have twenty seconds left. Suddenly Trace's skin began to shine, dimly at first but quickly getting brighter until his entire body was enveloped in a bright light.
"It's about damn time." Was all he had time to say as he vanished, the white light seeming to explode gloriously. His disappearance caused the glass around him to explode into millions of tiny shards, and for the bombs to explode only seconds after they had been armed, with Soloman still in the vicinity of the explosion.

With a quiet swear, Soloman gave all the bone he could spare to a wall between him and the blast. The moment the blast dissipated, he returned to his flight, landing and assessing his injuries. The skyscraper had been ripped apart. It was leaning to one side, the supports snapping under the uneven weight. It wasn't long before the whole building fell over, slamming into a second skyscraper. Debris pelted the street as it ripped through floors upon floors of the second skyscraper. It wasn't long before both of them laid in rubble, the mindless inhabitants in both crushed by the debris.
Soloman smiled, cracking his knuckle and looking around. He started shouting to all who could hear him.
"BOW DOWN OR DIE, ANIMUS CITY!!!" were the words that left his mouth.

"Forgot to take your pills?" A voice said from behind Solomon.
A figure emerged when the dust from the explosion subsided. Bremmen floated in the air, his angelic wings made of translucent diamond glittered against the sun light.
A crystaline scythe appeared on his outstretched right hand. He twirled it between his fingers for a few seconds effortlessly, before holding it tight, pointing at Solomon's direction, as if challenging him.
"You sound a bit delusional." He finished with a smile.

Syl wandered deeper into the city, obviously worried. It had left Klaire behind in the mall, but Syl didn't want to go there to check. It remembered. It approached the area where they had seen the plan being hijacked, hoping to find some answers. It hoped to ask Trace if he had seen Klaire anywhere, as it had (barely) sensed his aura in the area as well, and because it knew that he was acquainted with her.
Unfortunately, Syl was having horrible luck these past few days.
Right before its eyes, a skyscraper suddenly exploded, showering debris over the nearby streets. A windshield formed around Syl, by instinct, for most part protecting it from the debris that showered upon it, but not completely. The explosion was huge, and loud, almost deafening it.
Syl opened its mouth to speak, but nothing came out, except a startled gasp.
It was then it realized that Trace's aura had vanished. So much for asking him about Klaire. Syl didn't know what happened or why (and it doubted that Kiel did either), but it thought that... it was cruel. What happened? Weren't there people in those buildings? So far, Syl realized three things - one, a winged person had hijacked the plane, two, Trace was in this area and three, it had witnessed yet another example of death, suffering and destruction. Syl didn't like seeing people die. At all. Even if it was by an explosion.
The sight of those skyscrapers falling apart was painful for Syl.
It collapsed onto its knees, sobbing. One hand was used to cover its face, the other lay limp by its side, injured by a stray piece of debris that hit it before the wind shield appeared. There were several other nasty bruises and cuts as well. Syl's mental pain caused it to ignore its injuries as well as the rest of its surroundings. This made them slow to close themselves and heal. Even now, some small bits of Syl's essence slowly escaped, weakening it further.
Various thoughts ran through its mind. Kiel... why...? What happened? Why was it such a fool? Why did it have to drag itself around this city, trying to help all these people, if it could do nothing, NOTHING to prevent all this pain?! All I wanted was to know if Klaire was okay...
"...OR DIE, ANIMUS CITY!!!"
Syl only barely heard those words, because it had good hearing, because the person was shouting so loud and because there wasn't much to drown out the sound. Its mental pain made it harder to hear, but Syl was so desperate for answers that it, well... When it thought it heard something... well... its curiosity sometimes got the better of it...
Its head jerked towards the sound, its teeth clenched. One hand was still limp at its side, the other gently touching a nasty gash on its chest. Its head was lowered, its black hair effectively concealing its face, only moving when there was a gust of wind.
Despite its injuries and mental pain, Syl's next words, strangely enough, had no resentment in them
"Were you responstible?" it whispered softly, "why did you do this? Are you in pain too?"
____________________________________________________________________________________
Kiel heard the explosion too, although it wasn't in a very good location to see it. Much like Syl, it didn't know what happened or why the skyscraper blew up, but it did know that their luck wasn't at its best today. Same as it was in the past. Syl and Kiel were good at gathering information, but complications resulted when they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Ah, well, thought Kiel, at least I know through that spy that Syl is breaking down. Also, if Aphrodina or Daemon show up, it'll allow me to have a more accurate alibi as to why we left, just in case.
Kiel had taken Syl down to the center of Animus because that was where soldier patrols tended to be more concentrated. Most people lived and worked in the city, so why not look for their sworn enemy there? Plus, Kiel supposed it was also closer to their camp, which made it easier to come back in for dinner and more orders.
Well, back to business. Whatever happened, Kiel would see if there were any positive consequences from it. For a better view of the city, Kiel climbed up from the alleyway it was hiding in and onto the roof of a nearby apartment building. It cloaked its presence as it did so, as it looked down upon the street. It then sat down on the roof, dangling its legs over the edges, humming a merry tune to iself.
In this case, Kiel saw that it had sent many of the nearby patrols into panic. They were yelling things like 'Damned Nazis!' or 'what the ****?!' or 'what's happening?!' among other phrases showcasing their ignorance of the situation, their feelings of powerlessness and panic. It grinned confidently. Excellent. Kiel mentally thanked the one who caused the explosion. If it didn't do anything stupid, everything might just turn out alright for itself and Syl. Just trust me, Syl, thought Kiel, once all these bugs are fixed... you'll see what I mean by this...

Johnny and Veronica dodged all the shots directed at them as they motioned towards the make shift hanger. Johnny kept his arms out of the tent and fired as Veronica peered through.
"Looks like Bremman had his way with Fleur.", Johnny said.
"Tell me about it.", Veronica scoffed. Veronica turned her head and got Fleur away from her mind, she approached Johnny and said, "This did not go to my plan at all."
"Shit happens, Roth.".
"Ok, the moment Fleur and Tommy get here, we have to leave!"
"The clown's back?".

I was stirred from my slumber when the sound of rushed movements came from outside. Gunfire, shouting, alarms going off. A soldier came into the tent frantically looking for his weapons and equipment, he was cursing as he couldn't find any of them, I chuckled to myself, he stopped looking. He must have heard me so I made myself ready with the knife and as he stood next to the bed he crouched down to see what was under it and then I screamed in a high pitched shriek, "SUPRISE! And grabbed his face, stabbing it repeatedly his screams were loud and agonising after a while the sound of metal squishing in and out of flesh was all that was making a noise so rolling out from under the bed, covered in blood, I get to my feet and brush myself off then look up at the other soldier holding his gun at me.
His face held a look of absolute terror, Yes, this is your path Tommy, now don't walk down it.... RUN!
Before the soldier could fire I was on him in a second, knocking the gun from his hand and tackling him to the ground. We rolled around on the floor fighting eachother me, trying to bury my knife inside his torso and him, taking every chance he could to desperately get the knife away from me. But he did not posess the strength to fight me off and before long he was lying on the floor sprawled out in a bloodied heap. Doesn't it feel good Tommy? To be able to do what only gods can do, to take the life of another? "Yess.." I hissed to myself looking around, I needed to find Veronica again She was the only one I could remember around here who was I 'friends' with. So getting my bearings I make for what looked like a makeshift hangar, from there I could probably see the whole area and find where my little friend Veronica was. Putting my knife away I pull out my gun, check it, load it, cock it. "No one's going to stop me" I cackle madly to myself.

Fleur ran towards the make shift hanger as the soldiers continued firing at her. Thanks to her diamond form the bullets bounced off her. From where she is, she could see Johnny inside the hanger, shooting the soldiers outside.
As she ran across the field, her form shimmered. She was like a human carved in glittering glass. It was majestic.
Soldiers were shooting at her from afar, as the others tried charging towards her with their bayonet. They tried plunging the pointed end of the weapon at her, but either they would break or get bent to their utter surprise.
Fleur would push them, hold them by their shirt and toss them out of her away. The diamond form doesnt only grant her invincibility, but also strength and agility.

Veronica saw Tommy and Fleur coming their way. Stepping forward, Veronica took a gun of her own and began firing. "Fleur, now do you believe me?!", she shouted.

Fleur jumped and was able to clear about 4 soldiers charging her way. She found herself landing near the hanger's entrance where Veronica stood. She pulled her inside while shutting the door behind her.
"You must go!" She advised, pulling Veronica's hand and Johnny's on the other. "Now!"
She guided her down the vehicle aisle and added, "Before..."
"Before I show up?" A voice echoed inside the hanger.
Looking down, standing on the center beam of the hanger's roof, was the Red General.

Soloman smiled devilishly, turning around to face Bremman.
"No no no, I assure you I am not delusional. Instead, I may have just found a way out of this abyss you and so many others call home. Animus City, I believe. However, I don't have the time or will to explain such amazing theories to one such as you. Right now, I have to go progress my plans..." Soloman said. He gave a wave, and turned to fly off. Before he did, he turned around.
"Oh... By the way... Tell Syl Klaire said hi," he said with a devilish smile. He ignored Syl's quesiton, and spread his wings, flying off into the sky to further his currently unknown plan.

That french girl had hurried inside and slammed thedoor shut, right in my face. So, recovering after that I open the door slowly and peek inside there was Veronica, her gentlemen friend, the french girl and a very tidy looking man in red, by the amount of medals and the uniform he had on he must be a high ranking officer. I creep in unnoticed and hide behind some crates while the company engages conversation with the Red officer. Tommy, this is bad. Be careful..

Bremmen, flapped his wings once and flew. His mind was set to fighting this sunglass wearing menace. He needed to eliminate this villain. Only one being can claim Animus and it was him. He wouldn't let this creature just fly away.
"Come here!" The demon yelled, throwing his scythe, when he closed the gap between them.
The scythe spun around, hungry for blood and something to decapitate, while the chain attached to it's base ran on his right hand, waiting for the perfect moment to pull it back. Hopefully with any body part of his enemy.

"It breaks my mechanical heart that you've chosen to join their side Fleur." The Red General said, not a drop of emotion on his handsome face. "And I thought you love me."
He walked the beam supporting the hanger's roof, to get a better view of everyone. He rested his hands on his hips, looking down on all three of them, like a master to his dogs.
"Tell me the truth Emmanuel..." Fleur pleaded, his diamond face sad, as she looked up at him. "They're not the enemy, am I correct?"
The Red general shook his head as his response, again, no emotion evident on his face.
"You've been lying to everyone all along..." She added, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "Including me..."
The Red General smiled.
"There was a boy in their group," He started to narrate, pointing a finger at Veronica and Johnny. "He told me this isn't Germany and they're not Nazis. My built in lie detector said he was telling the truth, the human half in me believed him, but the mechanical part refuses."
He laughed like a lunatic up on his pedestal as he remembered what happened.
"I can't possibly go back and tell the others I made a mistake. That would ruin me and my reputation. The President would be disappointed." The Red General continued. "So I lied. I killed the demon kid."
He rested both his hands behind him, like gentleman.
"A harpoon on his throat made him shut up."

Johnny slowly approached him and asked, "So, what's the plan? You're gonna take this city over and report back to a group that died out decades ago? I mean, you aren't even on Earth anymore. How the hell are you possibly going to back to tell them?".
Veronica pushed herself forward and said, "Give up. There isn't anything you can do now. Give up now, or I promise you that you will horrors you have never conjured.".
