Soloman easily flew under the scythe. He came up behind Bremman, and whispered to him in a soothing, yet fear inspiring voice.
"If you know what's good for you, you'll leave me alone. I'm much more than you think," he said. With that, he dove to the ground, vanishing into crowds of mindless and soldiers.
He would have to be found on a later date.

Bremmen caught his scythe back, as he watched the stranger wearing sunglasses head down back to Animus.
"Actually I don't care what's really good for me." He mumbled to himself, as if talking to the stranger. "All I know is that I want you dead and that for someone so 'powerful', you are a total and utter wuss."
The scythe on his hand disappeared, his eyes still gazing down the city.

The Red General listened to Johnny, questioning his motives and plans for Animus. He pulled out a sheet of paper from his uniform's pocket and unfolded it. It looked like a page from an old book. He threw it in the air and like a dry leaf in autumn, it landed slowly on the floor before his audience.
"The Eye of Anung Un Rama, The Beast of The Apocalypse." He informed, referring to the drawing on the page. "I could try conjuring it. All I need are 35 human hearts and a few incantations."
Fleur was shocked. She never heard about this plan of the general. She was even more shocked at the mentioned of the human hearts sacrifices.
"Big thanks to the Nazi occultist. They made me well versed with the paranormal. I am after all their perfect soldier." He smiled, proud. "Ofcourse, the summoning might not work and it could destroy half of your city, but I'm still willing to give it a try. And if I succeeded, I will be a hero!"
"Stop this Emmanuel!" Fleur shouted, almost pleading.
"I will be the only survivor of this expedition. I will tell them the story of how I managed to escape yet again from the Nazis, while they massacre my troops."
The Red General paused, then looked at Fleur.
"Including the story of how they brutally killed the female french officer."
He smiled an evil smile.

Veronica took the gun she found and drew it before the Red General. "Be very careful of what you plan on doing, General.".
Johnny quickly motioned himself to Veronica's side and whispered, "Roth, what are you doing?".
"Johnny, I will be fine.", Veronica replied as the turned her sights outside the tent. "Jake is lying out there bleeding to death. He's done what he could to sanctify himself, please go to him and rescue him."
"Roth, don't.", Johnny said.
Veronica pointed the gun to her head and said, "I nearly chose death twice in the past twenty four hours, don't make this third time be the charm and go!".
Johnny turned away from Veronica and headed out the tent.
Veronica turned back to the Red General and said "You aren't going to hurt Fleur or anyone anymore. I am giving you a warning.".
<***>
Johnny pushed his mind off what Veronica had done to get him to move as he raced towards Jake; dodging bullets along the way. Johnny dropped before Jake and said, "Come on, Kid. I'm getting you out of here.".

The Red General laughed, amused with the lady's display of "courage." He removed the black leather glove off his right hand, exposing his mechanical hand. He formed it to a fist, and drew it close to his face as if inspecting it.
"Since when did you become a murderer Emmanuel?!" Fleur asked, her voice cracking. "You can't possibly..."
"Stand back Officer D'Aubigne." He spoked as formed his mechanical fingers in a funnel. "I'm going to teach your little friend some manners."
The tips of his right finger opened. They were hollow and Fleur knew what it is. At will, she knew bullets would come flying out of them, like a machine gun.
"Go Veronica! Get out of here!"

"Whatever happened to getting the ---- out of here, Johnny?" Jake asked weakly. He had reloaded his guns in the time it took for Johnny to get to him. He had been expecting death, not savior. He was watching all angle of approach, waiting for the soldiers to come around the corners.
"Hell, why am I complaining?" he then muttered. He dropped the Thompson, leaving himself with the BAR. He was taking deep, pained breaths.
"I can't remember who made the quote, but the best quote of all time is 'The man who thought the pen was mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons...
Damn, they hurt."

Veronica stood before the Red General as she quietly hummed and murmured. Her heart raced fast as she tried to remember the words to the spell, but she had to stand her ground. She continued murmuring as she kept her eyes on the General and his machine gun.

"That's it?" The Red General asked when the lady started mumbling. "I'll be more impressed with a gun shot, miss." With that the Red General stood on his ground and began firing at the dark haired woman and Fleur. Fleur wanted to jump infront of Veronica, but she was busy fighting off bullets heading to her direction. As expected, they bounced right off her diamond skin as the Red General continued firing at her and Veronica.

Despite the chaos, Veronica saw everything with uncanny clarity. She was in a space of her own where she could see what was coming and do what she wanted. It all started with the sound of the General firing his gun and from there, everything had just seemed to have all slowed down. Veronica continued to murmur the spell as Fleur stood before her.
Veronica motioned herself over Fleur and took air before the general and fired a shot from her hand gun.

He jumped, and was able to clear the bullet the dark haired lady fired at him. Then he realized what the lady was mumbling earlier. It was something in latin. A spell.
The Red General landed before Fleur and smacked her diamond face with his mechanical hand. Fleur staggered backwards as the Red General spun around and fired at the airbourne lady. It all happened so quickly.

From Veronica's height, she could see the general slap Fleur and fire the shots. Despite the fact that she somewhat resented what Fleur had done, seeing her get slapped like that was something she could not bare to see. Veronica slowly leveled herself lower as she concentrated on bringing some of the energy towards her arm. Finding an opening, Veronica flung herself forward with a massive punch headed towards the Red General.

Fleur knew exactly what Veronica was about to do. She recovered quickly and held the general's arm from the back, giving Veronica more chances of hitting the general.
The Red General flinched and tried getting out of Fleur's grip, but found it nearly impossible. Looking infront of him, he saw a fist about to connect to his face.
The impact was so strong that it sent him and Fleur flying backwards. The Red General was quick and held Fleur by the neck as he tried beating at her diamond torso. His mechanical arm shifted and transformed into a multi-rocket launcher and fired at the other woman's direction.
His hand transformed again, but was surprised when Fleur held his hand before it could smash against her torso again. Doing a quick maneuver, she was able to lock her legs to the general's body and started beating his face with his diamond fist.
The general, grabbed Fleur's tiny waist and threw her at the wooden cargo boxes. She crashed through them. He focused his attention this time to the dark haired woman and fired another round of rockets.

Veronica swam through the rockets as they came flying towards her. Veronica paused in air to compose herse;f; she was doing things she had never imaged doing all though the power she temporarily gained by unlocking some of Animus' secrets. Veronica regained her sense of now and by releasing the energy in her arm, she flipped the rockets and sent them flying towards the general.

To his utter surprise, some of the rockets he fired turned around, bound to his direction. He sent another wave of rockets and it met with the others directed at him. They exploded before Veronica and the Red General.
It sent him flying across the room, landing on his back. When he got up, his mechanical arm shifted and turned and was transformed into a cannon. He pointed it at the ceiling above Veronica and fired a few times, sending the entire roof falling down.

The impact of the blast had sent Veronica crashing back down into the hard floors. Veronica groaned in agony as the ceiling began to crash over her. Veronica pushed her arms out and held her arms out in an attempt to use her remaining power to hold the debris from falling over her.

Fleur rushed forward and attacked the Red General. She punched him on his stomach, flipped backwards, enabling her to kick his face. He tried firing bullets at her, but they bounced off her diamond form.
"I should've known what you are." She said, punching him on his face and another one to his neck. "You're not human. You're a monster!"
"And you're normal?" Th Red General snorted, catching her fist in the air. "Look at you. You're a glass figurine for God's sake. And before this, you're actually something more vile."
The Red General smashed his head against Fleur's. Chunks of his flesh were torn out of his face, revealing bits of his metallic head.
"You were a meta-human whore."
