Eminor glared at Viscum, pouted and gently whacked him across the cheek, smearing blood on his face. "Bleh.", was all she said to him. Turning to the doctor, she replied, "None that I know of"

Viscum barely felt the whack, but he did immediately wipe the blood off of his cheek. This girl had a temper, and not the fun kind. The doctor took in the words and several seconds later spoke once again.
"Neuroimaging is recommended."
With that the Doctor briefly stepped out of the room before two nurses walked in, both moving slowly and not showing any emotion. One offered Eminor a hospital gown that would be required for the scan while the other pushed a wheelchair.
"Please sit." was all the one nurse said.
"Looks like your going for a fMRI scan." Viscum said looking at Eminor. This was always going to be the result and he hoped Eminor would go quietly. The mindless weren't able to defend themselves Viscum would hate to see any of them hurt because of this girl's temper.

Eminor twitched. She grabbed the hospital gown, went to the nearby change room and put it on, and sat in the wheelchair silently. She glared at the nurses. "Hurry up"

Viscum leaned over to the nurse behind the wheelchair and talked melodically to her.
"Continue." he almost whispered to her. As the nurse pushed Eminor outside of the room and down the hall Viscum shouted to her. "Remember, be nice and calm if you talk to them, and keep things basic, unless you'd feel better that I took care of all the conversation?"
Viscum had a feeling Eminor wouldn't cope well with being surrounded by mindless, and the others seemed a little preoccupied with talk about the mindless and their other friends.

"Please do, they're driving me crazy already", she replied.

Jake rose to his feet, walking behind the wheelchair and the mindless. He had never been a big fan of hospitals, or doctor's offices in general. Or at least he thought he hadn't been. How was he supposed to know? His entire life up until Animus was a couple glimpses. It was indeed a strange feeling.
"Doctor, she also has a lack of energy before and after the nasal bleeding."

The doctor said nothing to Jake's statement as he walked a few steps ahead of them. Viscum trailed behind, observing the mindless they passed on the way. He had always hated this part of life in Animus, watching these people have no control over their fates. It was one of the primary reasons for his rebellion against the wishes of Animus. Ahead of them the Doctor opened a door which the nurse pushed the wheelchair into. They were inside a two part room separated by glass. On one side, the side that Eminor was pushed into was a large fMRI machine.
"Please lie here." the one nurse stated, indicating to a large table like panel connected to the machine.
"We'll have to observe from here." Viscum told Jake as he stood in front of the large glass divider while the Doctor entered a seperate room with computer equipment.

Eminor laid on the panel and started making odd gurgling noises as the blood leaking from her nose was back-flowing. She looked aroudn for Jakie but couldn't see him from the angle she was at.
Making small whimpering noises, she clinged to the edge of the panel tightly, trying not to destroy it. She waited impatiently for the scan to be over. It wasn't until afterwards did she realize how frightened she was.

The doctor slowly pressed a few buttons in front of him and the panel that Eminor was lying on slowly began to move into the machine before it was completely inside. A loud buzzing noise completely filled the machine as the scan began.
"It'll likely take a few minutes." Viscum said, unsure of whether Jake was even listening to him. "These things take time and patience."

Eminor's eyes widened, looking around frantically. She cranked her neck to find Jake again, but her lack of energy didn't let her efforts last long. She shut her eyes tightly, and waited for it to be over, gripping her hospital gown tightly. She felt the material beneath her hands start to crumble, and let go, nervously twitching her hands together.
"Jake?", she called out, not knowing if he could hear, or if he was even nearby.

"I'm here, Eminor. Okay?" Jake said reassuringly, placing his hands up against the glass. He eventually walked back from the glass and sat in one of the chairs, holding his chin in his hand as he started thinking again.
How did Eminor break apart the magazine while simply holding it in her hand. Was that even humanly possible?

Viscum watched Jake as he sat in the chair, obviously pondering something.
"Don't spend too much time trying to figure anything in Animus out. It isn't worth the headache."
The machine continued to buzz at the same volume as before. In his own little room the Doctor just stood still, completely ignoring everything other than the status of the fMRI machine. According to the timer in front of him it would take another few minutes for the scan to be fully completed.

Eminor's whimpering lessened slightly, knowing that Jake was nearby. "How much longer?", she asked, hoping someone would answer her.

"I can't tell, but I don't think it'll take much longer," Jake responded. He then whispered to Viscum, but made sure it wasn't loud enough for Eminor to hear over the humming. "It's not so much Animus as it is the residents and their strange array of powers."

Eminor's head felt as if it was about to explode. Opening her eyes slowly, her vision was blurred by tears. She clasped her hands together tightly, waiting for it to end. She couldn't communicate with the nurse or doctors that her head was hurting; she couldn't tell them to stop. She felt horrible, like she was dying. She saw her blurred vision slowly fading away, until everything was dark, and she felt the tears fall.
