Veronica walked towards the staircase when she headed a sudden thud coming from the floors above her. Veronica stopped where she was and looked up; her lips quivered as she tuned in and heard the rumblings above her.
"Something happening upstairs.", Veronica spoke softly as she headed up the stairs. "We have to check it out.".

"Something happening upstairs." Lain looked up at the ceiling then back at Veronica just in time to see her lips quiver.
Uh oh.. That's never a good sign.
"We have to check it out.". Nodding in agreement, she followed suit.

Veronica slowly made her up the staircase she slowly drew out her gun. Despite having knowledge of incantations and spells, she figured it would be wise to keep it out, just incase something happened. She held her breath as she pressed the door open; she was ready for anything.
Blood, bone, and just about every disgusting sight Veronica could think of lined the hallways of the fourth floor. Walking down the hallway, she muttered out, "What happened here?". In the distance she saw it, the doors to the X-ray room spread open, as if the room had been raided... And the sound of footsteps... Footsteps far away.

Lain followed silently only pausing to pull her blade out of it's sheath that was strapped to her back. If anything decided to rear it's ugly head she'd be ready to kick it's ass.
The sight was like that out of a horror film, The blood was spilled throughout the hall accompanied by various body parts. Lain's face hardened, she wasn't sure how she expected the fourth floor to look, but this definitely wasn't it.
"What happened here?". It was a question that she felt was in no need of an answer. Silently she followed, staying as alert as possible.

Maz placed his hand on the wall when he heard the noise coming from above them. He sent a mental command to the magical spy he had created earlier and directed it to the upper floors. It was through this that he saw the carnage, the man who killed the mindless and took what he believed was uranium from the X-ray room. As they headed up the stairs Maz didn't react to the sight of the death and destruction, having watched it all happen.
"What happened here?".
"From what I can sense the person who did this is still in the hospital, heading towards the roof. His aura has the feeling of two people, both of which have an unusual control over their bone mass. Sound like anybody you know?"

Rosa nodded as Asri explained his symptoms. She wasn't shocked or worried about being around somebody with a weak immune system, and he obviously knew how to keep himself alive regardless of his illnesses. At least he had been honest with her, Rosa despised people keeping important information from her, lying to her was the easiest way to find yourself burnt to a crisp.
"An angel with illnesses, that's a new one." Rosa said with a grin. She could tell from his aura that he was an angel, or rather an Angel like being, not the same as other Angel's she had met.
"Speaking of which, why are you here?"
"Right," Rosa said, suddenly remembering why Syl had brought them to Asri. "This girl, Karashi, she's hurt. Syl said you might be able to help her."

Veronica turned around to Maz and shook her head sideways; implying an answer to his question. Veronica turned towards the stairway leading to the roof deck and stopped for a moment; her mind had been working, racking. There was something in her that hesitated for a moment as if she had wanted to completely discard the idea.
Holding the railing as she motioned on up, she said, "I could be wrong here. I don't recall if it was something I had heard or observed as my mind was on something else that night... But that girl, Klaire, there was something off about her. It wasn't the shots, but the way she spoke, the things she said.".

Soloman reached the rooftop, and stood in the middle of the H in the helicopter pad for a minute. He let a sigh pass his lips as the wind blew past him, kicking his trench coat up. He let his wings fly from his back, feathers growing on the simple bone after a few seconds. He then sprinted to the edge, of the building, wind behind him. Jumping, he fell a few stories, and then pulled up, smiling as he flew to the hotel. Landing on the same balcony, he walked into the room, pushing a statuette to the side. The bed flipped over, revealing a stair well.
A smirk grew on Soloman's face as he walked down the stairs, his glove removing in a puff of red smoke. He pressed his hand up against the scanner, waiting a second before opening the door. He closed it behind him, pressing a button on the inside to return the statuette and bed to their original positions.
He placed the bag on a table, and then headed down a different flight of stairs, kicking open a trap door at the bottom. He dropped down a rope ladder, and used two rungs before jumping off. He pressed a button on his remote, closing the trap door, which was the ceiling of this room. The rope ladder was severed. Picking it up, he simply dropped it off the balcony, and then jumped off the edge, spreading his wings once more.
He needed to check the bomb site for something.

Karashi was on the floor, still unconscious. Both she and the baby were in danger, but no one knew that she was out cold. She had hit her head a bit, and was bleeding from a cut that had appeared over her left eye.

"An angel with illnesses, that's a new one."
Asri gave her a brief laugh. He was well-known in some Spheres in Heaven for being a non-typical angel, being burdened by health problems, but still managing to contribute his share. That wasn't something one saw on a daily basis in Heaven, as the angels there were usually created by God, and as far as Asri had known, generally immune to illnesses... among other... things.
"That's what I've been told time and time again," he said, "I'm not something you see every day, I suppose, considering people's general opinion of angels... My illnesses have been with me for a long time, but... my curse doesn't help it either, not in the least. It's... complicated."
Asri's tone slowly went from happy to pained, although the pained tone only lasted for a moment. He sighed wearily as he looked at Rosa, making eye contact as he did so.
"Suffice to say, my blood is dangerous..."
He paused, looking away with a sad expression, before he turned to Syl, now with concern written all over his face.
"Now, about that girl, Syl," he said, "her name's Karashi, right?"
Syl tugged on Asri's sleeve, looking concerned as well.
"Yeah, she's a wolf shapeshifter," said Syl softly, its voice trembling, "and she has tar in her lungs. It's icky, and it's killing her. She's suffering... and I don't like seeing people suffer. Please help her..."
Asri leaned against a nearby table and nodded, taking in the information.
"Any underlying health problems? Such as... congenital conditions? Infections? Other disease? Anything that I should know about to take into account when I create the medicine?"
Syl looked up at the ceiling, its chin on its fist - a clear sign that it was thinking. Asri could recoginize it in a heartbeat - he knew Syl too well, and while this one's personality was different from the last time he had seen Syl before Animus, much of its mannerisms had remained intact.
"Hmm..."
After a few moments, Syl finally remembered. Karashi had confessed to being raped and impregnated as a result. While it wasn't sure what to think, it remembered that Rosa didn't react well to it.
"Ah, Asri," said Syl, cocking its head. "Miss Karashi... she told us that she's pregnant."
Asri went pale. He dropped his bag, and put a hand on in his forehead, groaning. Way to go, Syl, he thought, you've made my life more complicated.
"Great," he groaned, "most of my medicines are fabricated specifically for myself or you, Syl. Neither of us can get pregnant, so that's not something I always take into account... Ah, well, I guess I'll have to manage. I believe that there's something I can do to minimize the medication's effects on the unborn child,"
He nodded at Syl as he lowered his hand and picked up his bag. Ever since he had sensed Syl, he had packed all he needed in there, so that if he needed anything, he knew where to look. Asri headed for the cupboards, which he immediatly began raiding them for the appropriate medications and... other ingredients.
Asri withdrew them one by on, reading their labels at lightning speed, rejecting most, but keeping a few.
"I'll get started immediately," said Asri, "the medicine will be ready soon."

The wind blew softly against Veronica's cheek as she stood in the roof deck. It had barely been a moment earlier when she reached the top to find the man on what could have been a suicide jump to the building across her.
Veronica rushed quickly to the metallic railing that bordered the roof deck; leaning over, Veronica found that the man made it safely to the Admiral hotel across.
Veronica turned back towards the stairway and said, "I think we just found our guy!".

Lain welcomed the cool breeze, savouring it as it washed away the sickening smell of death.
"I think we just found our guy!".
Lain walked toward Veronica, looking out to the Admiral Hotel.
"So what now?"

Veronica shrugged and replied, "Follow him."
She really didn't want to do it, but her curiosity had peaked and left her with no other choice. She recited another incantation and slowly began to hover over the ground. Just like cigarettes, she found it hard to cutback on her use of spells.
"Anybody need a lift?", Veronica asked; her voice deepened and hazed from the spell.

"the medicine will be ready soon."
Rosa nodded and smiled in thanks at Asri. He had been honest with her about his illnesses and about the danger his blood possessed, and while she wasn't sure what exact danger that was she was thankful of the truth. Rosa thought about Karashi, about how Karashi had been dishonest with Rosa. Karashi had lost Rosa's trust and respect when she didn't tell them about her pregnancy, about how if she hadn't fallen ill she doubted Karashi would have told them then. Rosa's trust and respect was a hard thing to gain, but it was an even harder thing to regain.
"Well then," Rosa said, keeping the small smile on her face to make sure nobody noticed her true feelings about their situation. "I guess we will just have to wait."

"Anybody need a lift?"
Maz felt the magic rush into her as she carried out the spell, and he could tell the amount of magic she had been using recently just from her aura. There was something bad about it, the amount of magic in a shortened amount of time. He could see it in her eyes when she carried out the spell, the same look an addict gets when they get their next fix. Magic was just like a drug if used by someone inexperienced, they often couldn't control themselves around it.
"I can take care of myself." Maz said, knowing full well that the more people she assisted with the spell the harder it would be to quit using it. Maz closed his eyes and recited an incantation of his own. As he finished a pair of brilliant wings appeared on his back, made out of pure light. "Shall we do this?"

Veronica smiled as she lowered herself to take Lain. Holding her tightly, Veronica smiled as she softly said, "Hold on tight.".
"Shall we do this?"
"Lets!", Veronica replied as she slowly lifted herself and Lain off the ground and drifted towards the Admiral Hotel.
