The fire lapped at my white wings, tongues of flame burning through the delicate feathers, as the other angels watched. I was held in a kneeling position, by chains to my hands and feet.
'You have failed, Myzrael'. A deep voice echoed.
'A bane to the existence of angels. To think you were considered to be one of us, One of the Seraphim. Damned you shall be now, cast down where you belong!' A figure stepped forward, resplendent in shining golden armor. He had 6 wings, each of them a brilliant golden shade. He had an immense sword sheathed at his side, and it was from him that the voice had come, and it was from his hands that the jets of flame torturing my form were emanating.
My wings were slowly turning black. I looked up at the face of my tormentor. Beautiful he was, through the haze of the fire. My sweat stained face turned up to judgement himself.
'Mastema..'
The white flames intensified, and I screamed in pain.
'Speak not, Aberration! The Almighty spits on your existence on this plane.Your fall shall be hard and painful, wretch!' Mastema shouted.
My wings were completely burned now. They had few feathers and were completely blackened by the flames. Mastema ceased the firestorm, and I collapsed on the ground.
'Drop him off, Hadriel.' Mastema said to an angel to his right. He then turned around and started walking away.
The chains holding my hands and feet fell away, and i was suddenly carried by a pair of hands. My vision was blurred; yet i knew the touch of Hadriel on my skin. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words issued forth.
'Be silent Myzrael. Im sorry, but this is the end for you. You have crossed the line. The Almighty is not pleased, and it was the hardest thing i ever had to do, watching you be burned by Mastema.'
Hadriels face went in and out of focus, as i went limp in his arms. The pain was nothing compared to the realization that truth was this defiled thing, even in such a holy place..
Hadriel stopped by the edge of a precipice. I could not see what was at the bottom. A few drops of water fell on my face. When i looked up i saw Hadriel was crying.
'Im sorry, Myzrael. Goodbye'. Hadriel then held me over the ciff, and let me go.
The falling sensation.. I will never forget it.
