"Whatever it is, I don't care.", Johnny replied. "I just want to find her."
Johnny walked away from the others and headed towards the road. "I'm going back to the motel. Anyone who wishes to tag along are more than welcome."

"I'm not going to waist my time on something so pointless. And your delusional if you think that motel room is going to help you one bit. Anyway, you shouldn't even bother looking for Veronica, you should be looking for the Black Goat, he's the important one in this."

Johnny stopped in the middle of the road and said, "I don't give a shit about the Black Goat, all I care about is Veronica. It's a shame you're too heartless to see that. And besides, wherever the Goat is, I'm sure as hell Veronica's there with him."
Johnny placed a cigarette between his lips, lit it, and continued walking.

"Hold on," Arqus called out to Johnny. "I'm coming."
He furrowed his eyebrows at Trace as he walked passed him. He was surprised with what the jerk said about Veronica not being important.
"He's right. Veronica could be dead by now. There's really no point trying to save her." Bremmen spoke to Arqus. "What everyone in this ghastly town needs to do is figure something out to stop the Black Goat."
Arqus maintained the apalled look on his face as he tried catching up with Johnny.
"Give it up Arqus, listen to Trace. He's got more sense." The demon inside him advised.
The mortal was getting more pissed with the way Bremmen was talking. The bastard's suggesting he joins Trace to come up with a plot, killing the Black Goat, than saving someone else's life. Veronica's.
Bremmen felt Arqus' temper boiling up. He was pleased with himself. He was tired of Arqus always trying to play the Hero. He wanted Magnus, Arqus' former self, unleashed. He wanted a darker Arqus.
"I knew for a fact that she wouldn't last long. Animus would be so much better without little Ms. Perfect." Bremmen continued taunting. "The Black Goat would all be doing us a favor if he killed her already.."
"SHUT UP!" Arqus growled covering both his ears with his hands as he stopped right below the ark of the church's doorway.
His voice echoed loudly inside the hollowed interior of the church. He shouted so loud that it made the birds resting on the pillars and roof of the church fly out.

"SHUT UP!"
The shout caught Trace somewhat by surprise. He had seen inner conflict earler, but he didn't think Arqus would break down so soon. He walked past Arqus. He wasn't important right now, there would be plenty of time to deal with him.
"Johnny!" Trace shouted, firmly this time. "I know you dont want to hear it, but Veronica might already be dead. The Goat is a threat we can deal with, instead of going after something that could be a lost cause."

Johnny replied, "I don't care, man. I just have to do something..."

"So then focus on finding the Goat and on how we're going to take him out. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll still be alive, but... just dont get your hopes up."

"SHUT UP!"
That sound caused Syl to shriek and jump up in surprise. it stumbled down the stairs until it reached the bottom, groaning. It was fortunate that Syl didn't feel pain from physical injuries, hence why it could get up so quickly from them.
It rushed up the stairs to see Arqus.
"ARQUS!!"
It ran up to him, calling his name.
Syl looked at him, very much concerned.
"ARQUS! Are... you... is there... what's wrong?!"
Arqus was obviously in pain... Bremmen, probably. He was probably wanting something out of Arqus, saying mean things that he didn't want to hear. Syl didn't know what Bremmen was telling him, but it doubted that it was anything good. Syl made a mental note to speak to Kiel about this as well.
It tried to put a comforting hand on Arqus's shoulder, but hesitated.
"Is... there... anything I can do to help?"

Anya ran over to Johnny, placing herself in front of him. "Johnny. You're thinking with your heart, you have to think with your head, or you'll get yourself killed." Tears swam in her eyes. "You need these guys help, listen. Together we can do something. As a team, not divided."
Phoebe found all this emotional drama to be extremely boring. "Ho hum." She didn't know what this goat they were talking about was, but it sounded dangerous, and she was all for kicking some goat ass.

"Is... there... anything I can do to help?"
"You can start by making yourself useful around here." Arqus spoke, still with the furrowed eyebrows. His ocean blue eyes filled with anger and frustration.
He closed his eyes, regretting what he told Syl. He massaged his temple with one hand, head slightly bent down, as he moved passed Syl. He didn't like lashing out on people, especially to Syl. Bremmen, Johnny, Trace, Anya, everyone was making his head hurt and confused.
Arqus turned around and saw Anya talking to Johnny. She was asking him, she was asking everyone to stick together.

Johnny looked at Anya and said, "Alright. But we have to do something. I don't care what the hell it is, just as long as were moving."

Syl put on a hurt expression, even though that wasn't really how it felt inside. It didn't feel hurt at all - only unsurprised at Arqus's lack of control.
It knew Arqus would do such a thing - after all, he was in pain. And Bremmen was obviously saying things that he didn't want to hear. Poor Arqus, thought Syl, having a demon share your body. At least I have privacy in my own mind rather than have someone constantly intrude on my thoughts.
It clasped its hands, held them to its chest and lowered its head, almost like it was praying, even though it obviously was not. It sighed, looking at the floor.
You think I'm useless? thought Syl as it watched Arqus walk away, well, there is a reason for that, you know. How many times must I tell you? My magic has limits, and it can't be used to solve everything. What is it about you that's so inconsistent? First you resent me for making such a big deal about Myzrael and for attempting to keep track of him, now you resent me when I stop trying to keep track everyone's every single movement. Well sort of... I still do that to some extent; I just don't show it...
It gazed at the group, its expression turning from hurt to impassive.
"I could be useful," muttered Syl softly to itself, so softly that no one else could understand it. The winds that blew around them certainly didn't help. "... But who ever takes me seriously, hmm?"
It gave them a small, rueful smile.
The next words Syl spoke were so soft that they were lost in the winds that blew around them.
"If only... ah... you're so perplexing... humans..."

"Alright. But we have to do something. I don't care what the hell it is, just as long as were moving."
"Alright then." Trace said, taking lead. "I say we split up into groups, that way we can cover more ground while we search. Anyone gets a sight of the Goat then you get out of there and meet up with the rest of the group. No point getting yourself killed. Your no use to us then."
Trace reached into the long jacket that he had been wearing since he came to Animus, and pulled out a crimson red Pistol from a hidden holster. He had created it himself during his time stuck in the future, modelled after a Beretta 92. It wasn't a usual pistol, modified so that it could take bullets molded from the shadows. It was the only way he could guarentee he would have ammo at all times. He raised it in front of the others.
"This little baby is called Hellstorm," Trace said with a grin. "I think it'll do some damage to the Goat."

"Sounds good.", Johnny replied. "I'll take a group. Who's willing to come with?"

Anya relaxed, stepping to Johnny's side. "I'll go with you," she told him. Her gaze shifted to Trace's weapon
Phoebe was eying Trace's weapon 'Hellstorm'. She was hardly impresses. "Tch." She moved forward, lifted her chin. She wouldn't go with the human. "What is this Goat[\i]?" she asked, not really seeing the importance.
