Soraszen entered the graveyard as a procession of mindless followed it each one carrying heads, bodies or plaques or flowers bearing the names of the dead. They were all dressed in grey, which Soraszen personally associated with loneliness, dreariness, mourning, tears and the like. Maybe even Death a bit.
It motioned deeper into the graveyard as the procession followed it. At the furthest end, there were more mindless digging graves and others preparing a large obelisk that would serve as the memorial for those killed by those crazy psychopaths. Everyone's names were on there, from the people Mr. Psycho had consumed to those killed by Tommy and whose bodies were horrifically recycled to create his atrocious zombies. Hundreds of names were on the obelisk, each one belonging to a person who 'donated' their memories to Soraszen.
Soraszen didn't care about whether the making of the obelisk made a lot of noise. Or how blatantly noticeable the procession was. All it cared about was that the humans got the burial they deserved. They were sentient beings, and it believed that they deserved some measure of respect and not to be treated like cheap dolls.
Soraszen stood in front of the obelisk, as a cloaked figure, holding its lantern, as the procession continued on, as the mindless gradually surrounded Soraszen, the obelisk and the graves. The mindless were still hammering the names of the dead into the obelisk. They were mostly done, which was good. Soraszen didn't want to take too long, but it didn't want to rush things either. Hence why some of the graves were still unfinished.
As the mindless worked, it watched in silence, recalling all the memories it had gathered from these people.

Zarikatesh motioned before Sorazen and asked, "So, we couldn't just bring them back to life?".

Soraszen shrugged, glaring at her from beneath its hood. Zari again. How fun. How fun, fun, fun! Why couldn't it ever do its moping in peace?!
"Because I don't have that power," said Soraszen, "but if you do, feel free to try. No one has been dumped into the graves yet because they're not finished digging."
It waved its hand and turned away from her, kneeling down in front of one of the graves.
"Hmm... if I could ressurect the dead, my life would be a whole damn easier, Zari," said Sora, "besides, stuff happens when you try to bring back the dead. There's always a catch, always a price and always the chance that something can go horribly wrong. Just like with Tommy's foul abominations. Would you really want something worse to stalk Animus's ground?"

"What worse could happen?", Zarikatesh shot back. "I don't think I can resurrect them. Animus never told us anything, so I always figured they would just... I dunno... regenerate.".
Looking around, Zarikatesh sarcastically lamented, "Who knew the kind of damage one clown and one... whatever he is... could do.".

"What's the worst that could happen?!" yelled Sora. "A big huge mushroom cloud on Animus that's what! Overpopulation! Running out of resources! A frickin' undead army! Use your imagination here, Zari! Everything and anything can go wrong! Ressurecting the dead without a price attached is not a power to be taken lightly!"
It sighed and watched as the mindless kept working, as the mindless bearing th bodies, plaques and flowers kept coming.
"They do regenerate Zari, but that's because of my breeding program," explained Soraszen in an aggravated tone, "it helps replenish the mindless in case of something happening, but there's a limit that it can replenish at once. Seriously... would it really make sense for humans to be just popping out of nowhere like out of some swirly vortex machine?"
It then gestured at the procession.
"And damned will I be if those stupid, psychotic, sons of b**** miscreants go unpunished!" Soraszen's voice was so venemous in tone that it could have caused flowers to wilt. "Of course they did so much damage! We're the ones that let them cause so much damage by just standing there and merrily watching as they pranced the streets indulging themselves for months on end!"

"Have I ever told you that you have the annoying tendency to worry too much?"., Zarikatesh asked with an eyebrow raised. "Consider this: the Black Goat is finally gone, and outside of the mindful, we're littered with barely a handful of thinking residents who actually do take advantage of the resources... And I wouldn't worry much about that army."

"Yes, you've told me before, Zari, and I still advocate that there's a difference between worrying pointlessly and worrying with good reason!" growled Soraszen. "I worry with good reason. How can you say 'don't worry about an army' if a resident recently went and did just that? Construct an army of walking abominations?!"
It watched as the mindless became laying the heads and bodies down to rest, family beside family. Soraszen would have provided them with coffins, but it didn't know how to make them, nor could it be bothered to search for a coffin-maker when it wanted the memorial to take place a few days after Tommy Tyrant's beating.
"I know that I'm not supposed to do this, but I question why Animus has called such people to be the non-mindless inhabitants. Some of them are just plain wacked out, crazy, psychotic and/or insane, others are malicious bastards and others are just plain pathetic."
Soraszen helped kick some dirt over the grave that a couple of bodies, that of two sisters, were being buried.
"Bah, why can't I have some peace and quiet and a nice drama-free existance?"

"Because nothing is easy!", Zarikatesh shot back. "It our job... No, its our challenge, to make it easy for us." Zarikatesh shrugged and gave Sora a sweet smile and a hug as she said, "My dear sister, things always have a way of resolving in the end."

Soraszen shrugged, but otherwise offered no resistance to Zari's hug. It was pointless really. Soraszen saw no benefit in it. Zari... she was one of the few poeple here that it could actually tolerate. Since they were partners, it was practically in the job description for them to get along...
"Well, if we want to make it easier for us," said Soraszen, "why not just kill or incapacitate the residants dangerous to Animus so that the harmless ones can prance around idly and leave us in peace, huh?"
It glared at her as she referred to it as 'sister,' continuing to kick some more dirt into the grave of the two sisters.
"If things always had a way of resolving themselves in the end, I'd be in heaven by now, figuratively speaking. Knowing this, things will just get more annoying and complicated. Bah, I only wonder why Animus called such miscreants here to begin with."

"You think too much!", Zarikatesh shot back. "Hey, at least we're actually doing something. You remember those "peaceful" years, back when "normal" people actually dominated this land? It was probably the most boring time we've ever spent together. For dear sake," Zarikatesh shrugged, her tone leveled softer. "We were practically segregated to nothing more than the kind of childish fodder that makes for nightmares and storybooks!".

Soraszen set its lantern on a nearby grave (which was thankfully ablet o support it), and crossed its arms, pushing some strands of black hair out of its face. They revealed gold, cat-like eyes, which glared at Zari.
Sorazen gave her a wicked grin as it watched as some of the other graves were finished and the bodies lowered in.
"My, my, my dear Zarikatesh," it said, "you have a horrid sense of style, you know that? Those years were the best we had in ages. Normal people are fascinating you know? The things that motivate them, that make them tick in a such a redundancy and repetition-filled existence, all caught in the memories I hold in this lantern. I take joy at watching them over and over again, to see them freaked out by the monster under their beds, the shadow in their closet, the slime in their fridge and all those amusing adventures we once had."
Soraszen conjured a realistic human skull of its red mist. Still grinning, it showed its handywork to Zari.
"See this? We've been many of them come and go, human lives, like leaves to the wind. But... I see them as individuals that you either find or miss and I must say that some of them are rather fascinating, a diamond in the rough. Ah, it's such a shame that our adventures came to end so quickly. Never underestimate the fun in nightmares and storybooks, Zari. Sure it may be childish, but I think that even I should be able to enjoy myself after having to claw my way through politics in that hellish world." Soraszen threw the skull away (after which it disappeared with a poof!) and continued to kick dirt into the graves.
"When else could I have enough spare time to watch Discovery Channel and saturday morning cartoons, hmm? To amuse myself by doing acts of mischief and watching the expressions on those humans' faces? Ah the good old days..." Still grinning Soraszen continued on.
"We're always doing something Zari. It's just that you don't have the same taste in hobbies as me."

Zarikatesh smiled back at Sorazen and replied, "I don't think this is a side of you, I've ever seen. The 'carefree, life loving' Sorazen is very new to me. I kinda like you that way."
Zarikatesh looked at the skull and said, "Maybe those days were fun, but they were quite repetitive. I mean, it was fun to scare a child every once in awhile, but it got old pretty fast. At least we're on the verge of starting something new. With the flux of new people.", Zarikatesh paused as she hugged Sora tighter. "Just think of the fun we're going to be having!".

Soraszen grinned at Zari.
"Well, that's nice to hear, Zari," it replied, "especially since we're going to be spending who knows how long together."
Once again, it offered little to no resistance to Zari's hug.
"Perhaps you do have a point about it gettting old, but I don't get tired of things easily," it said, grinning at her, "for one thing, we have more people to play with and I have a new hobby that I'll never get tired of! I'm not particularly fond of this new arrangement, but if I can blow up a few residents, I suppose we'll be fine."

"Who knows how long?", Zarikatesh exaggeratedly quipped back with the rhetorical question. "Sister, you're stuck with me until the end of time! And believe you me, we are still gonna be together well after that." Zarikatesh shrugged and replied, "But hey, at least you're condemned to me and I'm condemned to you!".
"Perhaps you do have a point about it gettting old, but I don't get tired of things easily, for one thing, we have more people to play with and I have a new hobby that I'll never get tired of! I'm not particularly fond of this new arrangement, but if I can blow up a few residents, I suppose we'll be fine."
"That's the spirit! And besides, their on Animus now, who's gonna miss them, and I mean seriously, who?".

"Oh, fun, fun, fun..." muttered Soraszen, "I knew that this was in the contract, but I never imagined that I'd be stuck with someone like you."
It glared at Zari, as it heard the mindless working around them.
"Of course someone will miss them," said Soraszen, "some of them have loved ones from their pasts, and they also have friends here on Animus. Of course people will miss them when they die, but do you think that I care about that?!"
It watched as the two deceased siters in front of it disappeared under the dirt that was piled on top of them. Their names were Marie and Janet Collins, two dancers that worked professionally for over ten years. It was such a shame to see such talent dead... Soraszen had seen them in action before the Black Goat turned everyone mindless.
"The only reason why I'm so set on blowing everyone up is so that I can get back to the good old boring times like in the past," said Soraszen.
It looked down at the sisters sadly, as it turned its head so that Zari couldn't see its face.
"I want to get back to watching those saturday morning cartoons," said Soraszen, reverting back to its usual grumbling tone of voice. "There's still a lot of shows that I want to watch... and the best time to watch them is when people aren't dying and when everything is nice and quiet and when you're off somewhere else rather than constantly badgering me to cheer up!"
