Takes place after chapt. 10... It was morning when Sara returned to Animus. This was not her first venture in the past. No, she had come here many times before. Exploring, watching, and seeing this how they developed, and if she could, maybe change things. Granted, her intentions were selfish, but for what it was, they made life a lot easier for her and her mother. This was Sara, eighteen years old. Present in a path nineteen years past. Sara awoke in the center of the theater; sitting back on the third chair in the middle section of the third row, facing the stage. She rose slowly and gave herself a moment to gain her bearings.

Anya slipped inside the theater, she hadn't been too involved with the others lately, as a vampire, she had moments where she couldn't be around others, but it passed, and she could re-associate herself with the others. She wasn't sure why she felt like going to the theater.

Behind her, Sara heard footsteps. Looking back as she rose from her seat, she called out, asking, "Is anyone else in here?".

Syl and Asri stepped down into the theatre, looking around. Well, squealing and oohhing and ahhing at every poster that looked remotely interesting were more accurate in Syl’s case. Asri hadn’t yet taught it about CGI, and it made Syl believe that each play was the best thing ever. Even if Asri knew from experience that they were really quite abysmal in quality sometimes.
“Come on Syl,” said Asri, holding its hand, “let’s go.”
Syl nodded and followed, clinging to him. Asri sighed. Syl had become more attached to its family than ever before, to the point where it couldn’t bear going anywhere alone. They watch together, smiling, watching as the posted passed them by, as well as the occasional janitor. Syl swore that it glimpsed the horribly broken skeleton of one of the janitors that Chains had murdered during their last visit here… and first meeting.* It didn’t know where he was now… Chains had all but disappeared for a long while… In fact, Syl wasn’t even sure that this was a good thing…
Asri sighed.
“What’s wrong Syl?”
“Did I tell you about Chains?”
Asri paused to contemplate the question. He had never met Chains, but Syl spoke about him every now and then. From the looks of it, it was a wonder how Syl had managed to get along with him…
“Yeah…”
“We met in this same theatre. These skeletons are the remains of some of the janitors that he had murdered.”
They fell silent as their footsteps echoed throughout the place, as they passed another brutally broken skeleton. This one was so horrifically mangled that Asri could barely even look at it. Broken jaw, broken skull, twisted, cracked arms… It horrifically brutal, especially as Asri could still see some blood stains on the walls. “Yeah…”
He shivered as they walked on, the walls of the theatre becoming more and more eerily familiar to Syl as they walked on. Blood stains, torn posters, walls in need of repair, the smell of decay… It was horrible… Asri held Syl close as they approached the door to the theatre, wincing as it creaked open…
*See the thread called ‘Entertainment, indeed,’ also in the theatre section

From within the theater, Sara could hear more. It didn't seem to be the one she had heard earlier... No, she was hearing voices... Multiple voices, as if they were conversing.
Taking her coat from her seat, Sara realized how pointless it was to stand there and wait for something she could have been imagining; it's happened before. Motioning towards the corridor, Sara noticed the bloodstained walls and the dead janitor.
"My God.", Sara murmured. "What could have happened here?".
In the distance, the voices seemed to lower; it was as if they were trailing away... They were near. Sara turned their way and followed them from behind.

"My god, what could have happened here?"
Asri and Syl both turned to see a girl in her late teens, bearing a strong resemblance to Veronica. Asri thought that they looked like they could be family, but knew better than to jump to conclusions.
"Why hello there," said Asri, smiling, "sorry, we didn't notice that you were there."
Syl was happy to see another face in a place like this... especially after so much exploring with Asri alone. Seeing a new face here was refreshing. It even got to the point where it completely forgot about the skeleton within sight.
"Wow!" it said, grinning widely, "Asri, look! A new person!"
It ran up to Sara, smiling warmly.
"My name's Syl. What's yours?"

Sara already knew the two; they were Syl and Asri.
She approached Syl with an open hand and a smile, replying, "I'm Sara. And you are?". Sara didn't want to give herself away just yet, figuring that by telling them, especially Syl, who she was, she would freak them out. She'd reveal herself eventually, when it came to it.

Syl's grin grew even wider.
"My name's Sylredrae, or Syl," it said, "and this is Asri. He's my brother, even if we're not directly related."
Asri smiled and let Syl shake her hand. Watching in amusement when he saw that it was shaking it to hard and holding it too tightly. This girl was human; humans were more susceptible to his illnesses than most other supernatural beings, and he didn't want to risk it. He didn't like physical contact with outsiders, but sometimes, however, it was unavoidable.

Sara couldn't help but grow her smile at Syl. Sara didn't know what it was, but it always had that effect on her mother and her.
"It's nice to meet you.", Sara replied. "The both of you. Can someone please tell me what had happened here?".

Asri sighed as he glanced at the horribly mutilated skeleton of the janitor.
"A psychopath passed by here," he said, "that's all."
Syl, naturally, didn't mind the janitor... for all intents and purposes, it pretended that he didn't even exist. It just wanted to have fun with the new girl.
"Wow! It's so nice to meet you miss Sara! What are you doing here? Are you going to see a play here? Are you here to explore like Asri and I are? What do you want to do?"

"I just got here.", Sara replied, noticing how Syl veered away from the janitor; she knew it, so the skeleton wasn't much of a bother. "So, I'm up for exploring. What would you suggest?".

Asri shrugged.
"We could continue exploring the theatre," he said, "but I don't think that you'll like what you'll see. I wanted to come here because I've heard some strange noises in the basement. So I've come here to investigate."
Syl ran back to him and hugged his arm tightly.
"He said that he'll protect me," said Syl, "and Kiel too."
Asri didn't mind it hugging his arm. After all, he was the one that dragged it here in the first place, because Syl had skills that he did not. Like shielding. And defensive spells. Asri's magic was rather... unpleasant to us, so he would ironically be the one that was protected.
"The main reason why Syl's even here is that I promised take it out for dinner - dinner for Syl meaning an enormous sugar binge," explained Asri, smiling. "It loves sweets to the point where it can't get tired of them. When we're done, I'm planning on taking it to a restaurant that offers particularly exquisite sweets. You can tag along if you wish."

Sara shrugged and replied, "You lead the way, Asri. I am up for anything!".

Asri smiled as he led them along, smiling. Syl still clung to him as usual, giving Sara a small smile. It actually didn't mind it as much as it looked... Asri mainly took Syl along so that it could become more used to supernatural activity... the sort that often pervaded Animus in all its nooks and crannies. Asri was used to it, as he was now a supernatural being himself, and one that had faced horrors that most could only dream of. Syl, on the other, hand... well... it was different in that sense...
"Alright, Sara," he said, "let's just keep this between us, shall we?"

"Lets.", Sara replied. "So, where to know? I think I've seen the most this place has to offer.".
