Another day, another boring relationshipless hours of work. Kasuma sighed as he walked through the large halls of the mansion. It was in heaven, of course, the place styled like a dojo. Wooden floors, paper and wooden sliding doors, zen gardens. All this but in a large area of around 100 acres. He walked barefooted and in a black and red Hakama that his father forced him to wear when he was at work or seeing him. He fixed the black leggings and adjusted the sash. It was uncomfortable, and he liked his purple pajama’s better. Kasuma sighed and looked at the scroll in his hands. It was listed with all the jobs he had for the day, meaning he had to go out for the day, meaning he had to fly. He hated flying.
He sighed and stepped outside, sliding the door shut behind him. He looked around cautiously, making sure no one was there, then unbinded his wings. They spread out largely, the wings enormous by angel standards. They glew a pearly white, almost blinding as he outstretched them. He took off into the sky, scroll tucked under his arm, and vanished into the clouds.

Asri sighed as he stepped out of the hospital and onto the roof. After dealing with Selice's case, he was now short of work and now had plenty of free time on his hands... now that he'd medicated himself. A shot here and there, tons of pills and vials... other than the fact that he liked always looking at his best, it was the reason why he took so long to get ready in the morning. Asri often spent an entire day working on medications that would last him for a while, to have time on future days where adventure was on the horizon...
He looked up at the horizon, at the late afternoon sun... how long was he in his lab? For hours... It made his wings feel cramped as they were retracted for hours on end... Asri gasped as they unfurled themselves, glowing light blue and stretching themselves out. Thankfully they were not particularly large, which helped him avoid obstacles that might break them... Power lines mostly... Being electrocuted for the umpteenth time was nothing pleasant.
Looking around for any signs of obstacles, Asri jumped, and took off into the air, soaring lazily in the skies of Animus. He didn't have any particular location in mind; anything that would get him to relax would do.

Kasuma evaded a few angels, “Sorry! Excuse me!” He shouted, barely dodging others as they yelled at him. He twirled slightly, almost crashing into a buildings. He was never good at flying, and it was that reason why he never usually left his mansion for work. But his father always made him do things he disliked and wasn’t any good at. “Sorry!” He said, nailing into someone else. He apologized a few times, then took off again as the woman yelled at him for being careless.
He sighed and finally got out of heaven, now there wouldn’t be anyone to run into. Except buildings and birds… Kasuma sighed, his heart was racing because his wings made him fly way too fast, and he didn’t know how to slow down unless he ran into something and fell. “That was close.” He mumbled, holding onto the scroll. He opened it and looked at the list. First person. Emily Wong. “Where does she live…” He kept flying, pulling out directions out of his cloths and looking at them.
“31st street and Bell…” He said out loud to remind himself. He sighed, but then looked horrified as he saw Asarek coming his way. “Oh sh-” Kasuma didn’t have time to finish his exclamation as he hit Asarek head on, both of them twirled together for a moment until Kasuma pried himself from Asarek in the confusion and fell from the sky. He crash landed into and ally, his wing and hand caught in a laundry string and cloths fell to the floor. “Ouch….” Kasuma sighed, his wing was hopelessly stuck and now he was dangling there with a pink shirt stuck to his face. He struggled and pulled from the lines, successfully getting himself out, but fell to the floor and crashed into a few garbage cans.
He looked up, dazed, his black cloths littered with garbage from the trash cans, and a banana peel hanging off his wing, his long brown hair scattered around him.

Kasuma was flying too fast for Asri to dodge, and they collided against each other, both falling from the sky. Asri could barely retract his wings in time as he fell onto the on his back... He had saved his wings from damage, but now his back hurt like hell... If Asri wasn't already used to pain, he would have been lying there all day. They had been flying over downtown Animus, where the usual buildings to be found were apartment buildings and some business buildings... They were all in need of maintainence, with the limited amount of repairmen and women running around the place.
Asri fought the pain in his back as he looked down from the roof to see Kasuma at ground level, covered in trash. Oh dear... by Luisine's Light! What is this?! Asri asked himself, eyes widening as he slipped onto the balconies of the apartment buildings and leapt down the stairs... rather awkwardly, due to the pain in his back.
"Kasuma!" yelled Asri, "ow... my back... Are you alright? I'm sorry, I... ow... I didn't see you coming!" As he ran down the last few steps, Asri lost his balence. He slipped, cursing all the way down as he fell... landing on his face. Asri groaned as he attempted to push himself to his feet, hoping that his nice formal clothes weren't now as dirty as he thought. What a nice day this was... he was out looking for Syl, or just anything to do, and he crashed into another angel! Wait... no... that aura wasn't that of an angel... a god?
"... Are you alright?" he asked Kasuma, "I know that the landing's rough, but... ow... it's better than just plain crashing into the ground without anything to slow you down..."

Kasuma groaned and sat up slowly, brushing off the trash. His wing was a bit crooked, the feathers mangled and blood dripping from where the rope had cut into it. He groggily shook his head then looked up at Asarek. “I-I’m fine… I’m sorry. It was my fault. I can’t fly well at all.” He said apologetically. He continued to brush off the trash, combing his fingers through his tangled hair to make sure there wasn’t any coffee grinds or banana peels in it. Kasuma stood up, pressing his hand against the wall so he wouldn’t slip over the spilt trash. He tried to fold his wings, but grimaced and quickly stopped “Ouch… I think I fractured my wing.. Damnit.. I can’t do anything right.” He sighed and pulled the string of banana peel off his wing.
“I can’t go home like this… My father will have a cow and seven calves and an entire barn yard then kill me.” He probably exaggerated on the barn yard, but it wasn’t a joke that his father might kill him this time. Kasuma leaned against the wall and slid down it, sitting down with his back against it. “I’m so useless…” he mumbled. He had lost his list during the crash, and the directions to Emily’s house.

Asri face fell as he approached Kasuma, and hesitantly put a hand on his shoulder. He didn't like physical contact with most strangers due to his curse, but if it made people feel better, so be it.
"It's alright," said Asri, "I was worse when I was learning to fly. Kept crashing into anything and everything within sight... horrible... I can only be thankful that my wings weren't so fragile then."
He locked at Kasuma's wing, examining it closely.
"I can help you out, you," he said, smiling happily, "my skill with dealing with physical wounds is nothing remarkable, but it should ease your pain."
He knelt down before Kasuma as he slid down against the wall, sitting down with his back against it. Very gently, Asri lifted up Kasuma's chin until they had eye contact.
"You're not useless, Kasuma," said Asri, still smiling, "I don't think that you should believe that, really. Not being able to fly well is not an indication of who a person is inside. And you don't need to worry. If you can't go home now, you can stay with me. I always have extra home in my home, and I'll be happy to have you stay with me... kinda gets a bit lonely there actually since Kiel's often off on business."

“I couldn’t…. I have to finish my work or else my father will be upset. But I lost my list when I accidentally crashed into you.” Kasuma said. “And its not just flying. I screw everything up. I can’t pair lovers correctly, I can’t break up relationships, I keep missing marriages because I suck at directions, my cooking skills are so bad it could cause death, I can’t clean, I can’t much walk in these damned cloths without tripping.” He sighed. “I’m just not suited for this or my family…” he sighed. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t burden you with my problems.” He said, dropping his gaze from Asarek’s. If he wasn’t so scared and depressed over family issues, he might have tried hooking up with Asarek, but he didn’t feel in the mood to do much anything but finish what he had to do.
He stood up, “I’m sorry for the trouble, I hope you can forgive me.” He said and bowed slightly as a sign of respect and apology. “I have to find my list and hurry up and finish my job.” He said, then without another word left the alley and started to search the ground and allies around the area for his scroll.

Asri stood and ran after, Kasuma, trying his best despite his back pain. Wincing, he reached in his bag and found some painkillers, which he promptly popped into his mouth. Asri didn't like relying on them, as he risked becoming addicted, but if he were to help Kasuma, it had to be done. Besides, Kasuma looked awfully lonely when he trudged about, looking for the scroll...
"Wait! Kasuma!" he said, as he ran after Kasuma, catching up to him in seconds.
He sighed as he stepped in front of him, still smiling. He had only met Kasuma once before, and even then he turned out to only be a dummy, but still... Asri wanted to help him, just as he wanted to avoid doing what Nokolui wanted - to destroy and the seed suffering wherever he went. Which was partly why he had horrid luck with women, who either were or would become severely flawed or who ended up dying horribly. If they were lucky, they got the latter...
"You shouldn't think that way," said Asri, as he began to help Kasuma search, "I forgive you, and I want to help you. Please. You don't have to do this alone. I don't want you to do this alone, and besides, I'm not busy today."

“A-Asri…” Kasuma took a step back, horror writing on his face. The scroll was being wrapped by a snake… A really big snake. Kasuma had a strange fear of snakes, any snakes, because they always use to get into his room at night as a child. The snake flickered its tongue a few times and curled around the scroll tighter, crunching the paper. It must have thought it was prey or something, because it was squeezing the scroll pretty hard. “I-I don’t think I-I want the s-scroll anymore.” Kasuma said. The snaked looked at him and hissed, making Kasuma shriek and instinctively cover his head with his arms as if defending from it striking. It just flickered it’s tongue and continued to curl around the paper.

Asri watched as Kasuma became defensive and afraid when he saw the snake curl around the scroll. From the looks of it, this one was simply a black corn snake, a non-venemous snake that Asri had seen kept as a pet. Kasuma... if he was afraid of a (relatively) harmless corn snake, then he... was he afraid of snakes? It certainly seemed so.
Asri watched as the corn snake squeezed the scroll tighter and tighter. Corn snakes were not poisonous and usually not dangerous, but they could squeeze things really hard. And Asri was physically weak... he probably wouldn't be able to free the scroll from the snakes grasp.
"Kasuma," said Asri, lowering his head, "I'm so sorry; I'm too weak to retrieve the scroll from that corn snake's grip... but... if you feel uncomfortable around snakes, perhaps it is best to leave..."

“Let’s just go…” Kasuma said, quickly grabbing Asarek’s hand. He didn’t want to be anywhere near that snake, even if it had that scroll. It wasn’t like he would be able to get even three couples together by the end of the day. And that scroll had over forty. Kasuma walked away quickly, towing Asarek behind him. As soon as they were a few blocks away, Kasuma sighed and sat down on the sidewalk, finally letting go of Asarek’s hand. “That thing was huge….” He breathed, still fairly frightened from it even though it wasn’t in sights anymore. He sighed and crossed his legs underneath him, placing his hands in his lap. His thinking position.
“What am I supposed to do now? Father will be angry with me once he finds out what happened. I can’t fly anywhere, as if I could to begin with…” He mumbled. Today was turning out to be a really crappy day. And it wasn’t helping that he had crappy luck with his own love life, as if he could manage others like his mother could. He wouldn’t even be a god of Love and Relationship if his mother wasn’t sick. Its no wonder they made him god of Gays.. Because he couldn’t do anything else other than talk about guys and daydream. Kasuma sighed. He felt even more depressed now.

Asri let himself get dragged along by Kasuma, not minding the god's firm grip on his arm. He sat down beside Kasuma, putting a hand on his shoulder and smiling gently at him. Asri didn't usually get involved with gods, but it saddened him to see Kasuma in such despair.
"Kasuma, please," he said, "if you panic about this, it'll only make your situation worse. Relax; we'll think of a solution together."
He knelt down in front of Kasuma, still smiling gently as he lifted his Kasuma's chin, so that they now had eye contact.
"Don't worry about your dad," he said, smiling. "If you can't return home, you can't and there's nothing either of us can do now short of going back to that snake and trying to pray that scroll from it. I'll do whatever I can to cheer you up, alright? First off, how about we go and get you cleaned up? I know a public bath that's nearby."

Kasuma stared into Asarek’s eyes for a moment, then nodded. “I think a bath sounds nice at the moment.” he said softly. He stood up and looked around. “Where are we anyways? I was supposed to be going to Kazan-En…” He sighed. “I think I took the wrong exit… Damn..” He looked at the buildings, for the first time inspecting his surroundings. It was a city, and pretty empty and run down too. “I hope I’m not on Earth. Last time I was attacked by ravenous mutants in a ruined city. And it was all smoggy too.” He shuddered at the thought.

"You're in Animus," said Asri, "not in Kazan-en. Unless it's Animus under a different name. You're not on Earth either, although Animus was part of Earth a long time ago. "
He smiled and led Kasuma down the street, his hands in his pockets, gesturing for him to follow.
"Come on now. If there isn't some big event where a madman takes over Animus, there aren't any mutatnts here," said Asri, "that is, unless you look hard enough. Where we're going though, is completely safe. First to get you some new clothes and next to the bath. It would really be a shame to put on this dirty clothes on your clean body when there are others more readily available. The best thing though, is that you don't have to pay for them. Now come on!"

Kasuma followed Asarek, watching the street as they went for any signs of that snake from earlier. He didn’t see it, then quickly caught up with Asarek, slowing to a stride when he got to Asarek’s side. “How come it’s free? Are they having a closing shop give away?” He asked. He obviously hadn’t been to Animus often, or even at all.
