"You have been through Hell? Well only if you want to believe so. It's just so ironic that everything that we believe will happen. We will get stronger if we want, know more, heal faster, live longer and die faster. We just need to believe in it." He started to laugh. It didn't sound like mad would laugh but it didn't sound normal too. " So after I said all this wouldn't it be ridicilous that I have godness to worship? Still I worship her." He said and stopped laughing.
" Now shall we go back to the explosives and where I could get some of it?"

"Hell is subjective as far as I'm concerned.", Veronica replied. "We've all been through some kind of hell, I was close to the real thing once with the Black Goat...".
"There are ammunition shops around the city. That's where Johnny and I stocked up.". Veronica ditched her cigarette from the ashtray, took another stick, and lit it.

"Is there anything left about that lost soldiers of 404? Also is there any semi- or full military grade shops here? Army's training camp or other offices?" Phobia took slight break and looked around him."Could you tell me rough estimation how powerfull are other people who can use illusions."

"There was once a camp outside of the city.", Veronica replied before taking another drag. "Something can still be there. However, I wouldn't know for certain. There was a solider, a woman, who stayed behind once we removed the 404. Her name was Fleur, she was a good friend. I haven't seen her around sadly.".
Veronica took another drag to gather her thoughts. "I wouldn't be able to tell how powerful illusions are and how many of them are here. What I'm showing you really isn't an illusion, it's a reality. This is another side of Animus. Anyone can find it, if you look for it. There are aspects of Animus we can tap into if we only learn to understand it. What I'm showing you are millenniums worth of history. "

I should check the camp when I got more time and gear. Phobia thought. While he listenned Veronica he kept thinking all what he had known and what Veronica have told him.
There were conflicts but it didn't stop him to find explanation to her words. When she stopped he replied." I have thinking all this and for me all this is illusion or part of it. As much as 'Reality' is only partof illusion created by one's mind, this Animus is part of it." Taking deap breath he tried to find words to explain his thoughts to her better.
" I'm positive that what you have told me have happened and ar true. I belive that Animus is person, plane and this city at the same time and this all what I have seen is it's true history. Still it's just illusion. We might be part of some one's dream, thoughts, story or what ever it might be. I believe that my death here is permanent and true.
But that's enough for my thoughts. Shall we go somewhere to get some gear for me and maybe finding safe house too. Or do you have still something you want to show me?"

Veronica looked at Phobia and nodded, taking into deep considering the things he told her. At the moment, she did not know what to tell him. She wished to find the words that could comfort him, but instead, she drew blanks.
Rising from the chair, Veronica looked at Phobia and said. "Where we are now, currently, is not an illusion. Everything I've shown you, however, was an illusion of the things that have happened here before. Now, we are in the real world, whatever it may mean here in Animus..".
Walking towards the door, Veronica opened it and said, "Would you like to take a look at that camp?".

"Yes, I think we should go there." Phobia said, thinking afterwards. "How far the camp is from here? In kilo meters. I was just thinking trasportation and if possible I'd like it done by means other than teleportation."
He continued to plan this trip to the camp. "Anyways we need to drop in the hardware shop for tools and grosery store for provisions."
He became silent and looked outside trying to measure time of the day." Do you think that we need to stay at the camp for the night?"

Veronica lit a cigarette and said, "Its not too far. Perhaps a good twenty minute walk.". Veronica walked along side Phobia as she kept one hand in her coat as the other tended to her cigarette. Taking a drag, Veronica exhaled and continued, "I think you can find whatever it is you need in the camp. While Animus can regenerate itself, we've all become scavengers. The lack of any real source behind basic goods is a drive for us. If you wish to stay at the camp tonight, you're certainly free to, but I'm afraid I'll have to leave you sometime after. There are plans of revelation, of things unseen to most residents, and I hope their all ready to face it. It's nothing bad and it is nothing to fear. It's a jubilee, if I can call it that."

"Very well then. Let's head to the hardware shop. I think that crowbar would be needed when we arrive to the camp." Phobia looked away from Veronica. " At least I will need it." He continued.
He stood up and started moving towards café's doors. "Will I get out of here if I walk past these doors?" He asked while studying them. " Or is this closed space. No, is this something where only you could deside when to leave this place?

Veronica smiled at Phobia as she replied, "Well, that is entirely up to you and if you can do it. A year ago, this was something I couldn't do. And after gaining what I have now, its something I'm quite capable of doing.". Veronica reached for the handle and opened the door and motioned out, "Personally, I try to keep to doing things the old-fashioned way.".
Veronica waited for Phobia as she fastened her coat. "The hardware store is just right up the street.".

They were soon in front of the hardware shop, just as Veronica said. Phobia was supriced when the door openned without any resistance. Second suprice wasthat everything else exept goods was broken or trashed.
"What is with this place? It seems like this place would be looted from long time ago but all the goods are so neatly in shelfs."

"It's the city of Animus at work.", Veronica replied as she stepped in and looked inside. "There was never enough residents around at one time to completely loot and take everything. Despite never knowing, there has always been a strong semblance of order... And besides, very few of Animus' are actually human, so that accounts for the order... Do you see anything you need?".

"Let's see... Crowbar is must but it wont hurt to have some other tools also." He looked for toolbox and after finding it he started to fill it with all kinds of tools.
"You know while we were walking I got the feeling that there were something wrong in this city. At that moment I couldn't explain it to myself but it felt like the whole city is twisted. Well more like unbalanced. For example houses are damaged, as anything that is made by man in Time's grip. But streets are clean and in fine condition. "

Veronica walked towards Phobia and answered, "it's the way Animus works. Again to accept it and to understand it, is to throw away all your pre-conceived beliefs on reality and the way the universe works.".
Veronica motioned towards a freezer and withdrew a can of iced coffee. Holding it, she looked at Phobia and said, "This store has not been stocked since the early 1980's and for some reason, this drink is still fresh.". Veronica opened the bottle and took a sip. "It's the city.".
Veronica lit another cigarette, motioned close to the door and asked, "Have you gotten what you need?".
