Johnny motioned before the portal and asked, "Where will this take us to?"

Anya stood back, watching Bremmen open the portal. She wasn't particularly fond of magic, and spells, or portals that led to somewhere unknown. Her gaze shifted to Johnny, feeling a bit unsure.
Phoebe lifted her gaze, seeing the mansion. She had a feeling it was empty. Licking at her lips, she glanced to Trace, arching a brow in silence.

"Where will this take us to?"
"Straight to hell." Bremmen wanted to tell Johnny, but decided to keep it to himself.
He could feel Anya's hesitation and Johnny's despair.
"It would take us to where the Black Goat dragged Veronica." The demon responded, hair still wildly blown in the air and his hands over the glowing symbol on the floor. "So if you are still up to the task of saving her, I suggest we get in the portal NOW."

"What are we waiting for?" Trace said, pushing open the oversized doors of the mansion. They creaked as they swung open and revealed the interior of the mansion. It was dusty and old, nothing had been cleaned and it looked abandoned. But Trace could sense magic, there was definitely something here and whether it was the Goat or not he had to check it out.

Johnny took a deep breath and he dove into the portal. It was almost like a wave, pulling him, leading him until he had nothing else better to do than stretch his arms and give in.
Johnny landed into the darkness on both feet. Johnny looked back at the portal impatiently until the portal spat out his guitar case of guns.
The only light that surrounded him came from the portal and he knew the deeper he'd go, the darker it'd be. Johnny dug into pockets and fished out his lighter and began walking down. In the distance, he heard footsteps. Johnny quickly paced down the hallway until he was close enough to see the figure... Those bare feet, the hair, the shape of her... Veronica.
"Roth!", Johnny shouted out.
She continued her making her way down the hallway, paying no attention to Johnny. Veronica stopped before a room and disappeared inside. Johnny reached the door, but it was locked. Johnny looked back where he came from and shouted, "Bremman! Anya! Are you here?!"

"I'm here."
Bremmen responded, rather eeriely.
The place was misty, he could hardly see where they are. He followed Johnny's voice and sensed that something was wrong basing in his tone. Bremmen walked calmly until he was able to see the mortal's figure.
With lazy, piercing blue eyes he asked, "What seems to be the problem?"

"It's Veronica!", Johnny replied quickly. "I followed her down this hallway. I called her name out, but she never answered me back. She went into this room, now the door's locked. I think something happened."

Bremmen's eyes looked down as he contemplated with what Johnny told him. He looked up to Johnny after a minute and muttered, "It could be an illusion."
He walked passed Johnny and stood before the door. He touched the door with his right hand and felt something immediately, an unexplained power...an energy of some sort.
"Let's see what's behind the mystery door."
Bremmen squinted his eyes as the door shattered to a million pieces, revealing what's on the other side.

Johnny's jaw dropped at the sight of her; bare, and shrouded by the arms of the Black Goat. "Roth...", he murmured in disbelief. "What's going on?"
Veronica floated his way as she stretched her hand out to him. "I know everything, Johnny.", Veronica said quietly. "How could you have never told me?"
"Told you what?"
"My God, Johnny. Are you that cold that you can not even see?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Johnny, I know what you did to me... So long, so very long ago.". Veronica placed her hand over Johnny's cheek. Suddenly, Johnny's eyes dilated. He witnessed everything as if he was right there living though it. Standing there, in Veronica's old office, talking to her. They both knew what was coming, and she was scared, my God she was scared. She was staring at the man and the barrel that was going to take away her life and there was not a damn thing she could do to stop it. Johnny, himself, hesitated. He wanted to run away right then and there and forget about the money, about the mission, about everything he was on the verge of doing, and everything he cared for about his God. Johnny stared deep into the wall and saw the image of his savior... Damn you,, he thought to himself and his God, Why can't we stop me?!. Johnny closed his eyes and plunged two shots into Veronica's chest.
Johnny suddenly sunk to his knees and wrapped his arms around her bare waist; crying, pleading, "Roth, I'm sorry... Please forgive me... I didn't know what I was doing, you have to understand."
"It's too late for that now, Johnny."
"Don't say that!", Johnny looked up at her to find her gazing back at the quiet Goat in the distance. "Can't you see that somehow I've known all along and since then, I've spent every single day since we got here, protecting you, loving you, watching over you... Don't turn away from this, because you know its true."
"You just don't get it do you, Johnny?" Veronica forcefully pulled pried Johnny's arms off her and returned to the Black Goat. Veronica opened up a portal and said, "Do you see that, Johnny? That's Earth... The real world... Home... I'm giving you what you want, the very reason you spent so much time finding the Black Goat. I'm giving you your way out... Now go!"
"I'm not leaving, Roth. At least not without you."
The Black Goat came before Johnny and lit a cigarette as he said, "You have a choice here. You're lucky that my bride has the compassion I lack. Leave us or die!"
"You're bride?", Johnny scoffed.
"I think I have my answer!", The Black Goat shot back.
Johnny quickly drew out his gun, aimed it at the Black Goat and fired. The Black Goat took the shots and smiled, "You pathetic little mortal.". The Black Goat opened up his arms and fired shots of energy into Johnny's chest. Johnny flew back several feet and lay motionless.
Veronica stepped forward and said, "Don't play games with me Bremman, I'm speaking to Arqus. What is it going to be?"

Bremmen stood there, when the Black Goat fired at Johnny. He figured the blow isn't strong enough to kill the mortal. He was surprised though with the new Veronica. And quite honestly, he liked evil Veronica...
"Don't play games with me Bremman, I'm speaking to Arqus. What is it going to be?"
Bremmen entered the room, confidently. The woman was addressing him. She was giving him a choice. No wait. She was giving Arqus a choice. Animus or The Real World.
"Arqus is not home." The demon spoke, his angelic pale face framed beautiful by his long flowing blond hair. "You'll be dealing with me."
He held out his left hand to his side as his translucent diamond scythe materialized out of thin air. He held it firmly.
"I want Animus." Bremmen stated, again with an air of confidence in his voice. "Name me as ruler and we would not have any problem."
He raised an eyebrow and smiled mischievously at the dark couple.

"There's a reason why I called for Arqus.", Veronica scoffed as the Black Goat waved his hand a crushed the diamond scythe. "Take a good look at Johnny, pathetic little Johnny. More can be done, I assure you. So think long and hard about what you are asking for!"

Bremmen was half surprised when his diamond scythe crumbled. He was able to maintain his cool though. At the back of his head, he figured, he's up against the devil himself and he's in his territory, he can do anything here.
"Take a good look at Johnny, pathetic little Johnny. More can be done, I assure you. So think long and hard about what you are asking for!"
Bremmen chuckled lightly, covering his mouth with the back of his right hand, gracefully.
"I have. Quite honestly, I am not impressed with your mate's party tricks." He bit back, resting both of his hands behind him. "Syl, on the other hand would reckon this is all too 'Facinating' and 'Perplexing'."
Bremmen smiled again at Veronica. His eyes travelled to the Black Goat. This being could kill him, but he's confident that he can do some major damages while he's doing it. He was the son of Hel after all. He's not going down without a proper fight.
"I still want Animus." He mumbled softly.
Bremmen's eyes travelled back to Veronica and as if to show that he's not threatened he added, "Pretty please..."

"So we split up," Trace instructed the others. "I'll take upstars, you look downstairs. You find anything that isn't the Black Goat then either shout for help or fight it yourself. I could care less which one it is."
As Trace ended his sentence he walked up the large staircase that lay directly in the center of the large entrace room. The stairs were covered with a red carpet that had long since lost its colour. He knew that there was something in this house but right now there was only one thing he needed to find.

Veronica smiled at him and replied, "No."
Dashing quickly, Veronica landed a hard strike across Bremman's face.
Johnny lay on his side, slowly gaining consciousness. "There has to be something we can do...", he thought to himself.

Bremmen staggered sideways upon impact. He was stunned that he didn't turn diamond the moment Veronica's fist was inches away from his face. It was usually his body's reflex to turn into organic diamond when it senses trouble.
He knew it was Arqus. He doesn't want his precious Veronica getting hurt. He would rather get his body's ass kicked than cause Veronica pain.
Bremmen chuckled at how naive Arqus is. He spat blood.
"Arqus refuses to hurt you." The demon announced, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "He's such a gentleman, isn't he?"
He formed his right hand into a fist and at the blink of an eye, his entire right arm turned diamond. Bremmen turned around quickly and smacked Veronica at the side of her head with his diamond fist. He watched him crashed on the ground.
"Then again I'm not Arqus. And I'm not a gentleman." He finished, turning his left arm into diamond as well. "Heck, I'm not even human."
He smiled.
