Asri shook his head as he flapped his wings, rising above of the buildings and out of the clown’s reach. Thank goodness that they could fly; otherwise they wouold never be able to lose him. Then again, Asri was aware of the nasty tricks clowns like to used to 'amuse' (more accurately terrify) their audiences, so he had an idea of what he was dealing with.
He beckoned Selice to follow, smiling warmly to her.
“Come on, now,” he said, “let’s not waste any more time dawdling here. I think that it’s best if you find the clothing you want as quickly as possible.”

Selice followed after Asri, trying to put as much distance between herself and the clown as possible. "I agree" selice said softly, nodding her head in agreement to Asri's comment about finding her some clothing. "question, just how fast can you fly? I have a feeling our 'friend' is going to try and follow us" Selice said quietly.

Asri grinned at Selice.
"I can fly pretty fast," he said, "although not as fast as my ward, admittedly."
He smiled, as he accelerated in flying speed, waving at Selice to follow.
Unbeknownst to her, he had actually led her away from the clothing shop, but only to mislead Tyrant in what direction to look. Once they put enough distance between Tyrant and themselves, Asri would make a sharp turn towards the chothing shop and head there, hopefully with the clown at the other side of the city.

A wide grin took over Selice's features. She quickly gave chase to Asri, her speed matching if not exceeding his. She kept up with him, racing neck and neck with him, the cool air blowing through her hair.
A deep smile planted itself on her lips as she raced along. "This is fantastic!" she exclaimed. "I haven't felt this alive in ages!" she added, doing a somersault in mid air.

Asri felt happy that Selice was happy as well, laughing as he twirled spiraled around in the air.
"I'm happy that you feel this way," said Asri, "it's one of the joys of my life... Behind able to fly with the wind in my face and at speeds like this."
He sighed as he led her through the maze of the city, keeping themselves to just below roof level to lessen their chances of been seen, especially by Tyrant. It was after a few more minutes of enjoying themsekves that ASri turned to look at Selice.
"Would you like to head straight for the clothing shop, or what you like to fly for a little longer, Selice?" he asked, smiling gently.

Selice smiled as she wove through the buildings with Asri. She really hadn't had this much fun in ages and she didn't want the sensation to stop anytime soon. "Lets just keep flying for a bit" she said, offering Asri a warm smile. "I think the clothing shop can wait just a bit longer" she added.

ASri laughed and nodded.
"As you wish, my lady," he said, as he flew forward, spinning in the air.
Asri was careful to move his wings in such a way that they didn't hit anything, as he performed varoius acrobatic feets in the air, out of the view of anyone but Selice. Despite his body, Asri's wings were relatively unaffected by his curse, and thus able to fly normally.
He laughed as he led the angel through the maze that was the city, weaving around tall business buildings and large decaying structures that were th central part of Animus.
"Come on Selice!" he called out to her, laughing, as he did a loop in midair, "if you wish to go to the clothing shop, just tell me and I'll lead you straight there."

Selice laughed as she raced along with Asri. "Well I do suppose we should stop there before they close. But after I wouldn't be opposed to you maybe showing me around?" she suggested.

Asri nodded, as he immediate made a sharp turn. He immediately heading towards the nearest clothing (or streetful of them), staying close to the roofs of the buildings, but making sure that he stil had enough room for his wings to move without hitting anything.
"Very well," he said, "I'd love to show you around, Selice."
They flew at high speed for a few more minutes, until ASri spotted a street with at least seven clothing stores. It was a quaint little place comprisedof old apartment buildings whose bottom floors had been converted into a stores. Most of the buldings old and worn by time and minimal maintainance, but some still provided a nice, welcoming feel due to some mindless preserving a tiny vestige of their creativity. A few mindless lingered on the streets, but paid no heed to Asri or Selice.
He beckoned Selice to follow as he slowly descended. The descent was difficult, and almost led to Asri looking a few feathers on the various obstacles that littered the street. Still after he landed, he looked up at Selice, and smiled at her.
"This street is full of clothing shops, so you have the freedom to pick and choose what you like."

Selice carefully dropped from the sky, her large black wings shrinking back into a tattoo once more. She looked at him, offering him a warm smile. Thank you. Forgive me, but I must resume this method of communication while we are among them she whispered to Asri with an apologetic look on her face. Selice began to wander through the street window shopping till she found a small darker looking store. The windows were dimly lit, just barely showing off the clothing inside. She turned and waved to Asri to join her.
Selice opened the shop door, smiling at the soft jingle of the bell about the door. She began to browse through the racks and racks of vintage clothing, looking for something that might fit her and her budget which was currently $ 11.35.
After a little time had passed, she had arms full of clothing and she walked towards the dressing rooms. A few short moments later and she reemerged, wearing a pair of faded blue jeans and an old pale green top. What do you think? she asked Asri silently. I don't know, it really doesn't scream Angel of Death to me... she said with a faint giggle.

Asri gave her a cheerful smile as he followed her into the store, casually applying handsanitizer. Honestly, her title of Angel of Death meant nothing to him, so he was not planning on acknowledging it as such. After all, he did meet Azrael many times, or a fragment of it... they were frequent business partners.
Still though, he appreciated her enthusiasm in getting new clothes. Getting his ward, Syl, to go cloths shopping was like trying to make a four-year-old write university-level essays. While cute in demeanor, Syl found cloths shopping pointless. Thi was due to Kiel's skill at 'weaving' clothes that were a part of them - self-repairing, self-maintaining and self-cleaning.
"Hmm," said Asri, as he looked at her carefully, a hand on his chin. "If you want my honest opinion, if plain, unremarkable and cheap are what you want your fashion sense to convey, then it works quite nicely. Hmm... and the colours go nicely with each other and your eye colour, so I suppose it's pretty good."
He casually pointed towards the exit of the store.
"There are stores that provide better quality and longer lasting clothing than this down the street," said Asri cheerfully, "the clerks are mindless, so money means nothing to them. This means that you can just take whatever you want from stores and no one will give a damn about it. I would suggest you pick from those instead, but if this how you like to dress, I respect that, and I won't force you."
Asri then chuckled as he leaned against a nearby clothing rack, with an embarassed expression on his face. One hand was clasped shyly to his chest, while other was playing with a lock of his long, purple hair.
"But what position am I in to criticize your fashion sense? You would be surprised at what clothing stores I tend to go to with my ward."

This is exactly why women should never take a man shopping with her Selice whispered with a laugh. Let me try on a few more things, then we'll get going.
15 minutes later Selice emerged from the room, a couple of items in tow. A black jacket, a white button up blouse, a nice pair of black jeans and an old tee shirt. This is a good start She said with a soft smile. She grabbed a bag and walked out of the store, carefully shoving the things inside. Selice walked down the street, looking through the windows. Here we go! Perfect! she exclaimed. She entered the building like a whirlwind, looking through every rack. Three trips to the dressing rooms to stock pile everything later she began to try on the clothing. She emerged from the small room wearing a pair of black baggy cargo pants, a vintage David Bowie t-shirt with a long sleeve black shirt underneath, and a simple pair of black gloves on her hands.

Asri followed Selice, through the streets and into the next shop, smiling the whole time.
"You shop just like me," said Asri, chuckling shyly, as he followed her throughout the store, "running around with such enthusiasm, stockpiling clothes in the changing rooms like that..."
His smile grew wider when she emerged from the changing room with a new outfit.
"Hmm... I like this one better than your last one, Selice. But I'd like to see what other options there are."
Asri then turned around, realizing that he was leaning against a rack that held women's lingerie. He moved away, eyeing witha slightly embarrassed expression on his face. Right now, he was resisting the urge to join Selice in her quest for new clothing. Because if he did... he knew exactly what section of the store to go to... women's clothing.
I don't think that I want to know what her reaction will be if she finds out that I'm a cross-dresser, worried Asri, Kiel, what have you done to me?! Damn bastard...

A silent giggle escaped the angel as she watched Asri's face. His reaction to the woman's under things had been amusing. Selice walked back into the dressing room and changed, leaving only the gloves on. Minutes later she exited the small room. A pair of black jeans, a long sleeve black shirt, and a black t-shirt over top with the logo for the band Death across it. I couldn't help myself she said with a laugh.

Asri stared at her new outfit. This angel had wierd fashion sense, but thankfully, it wasn't as bad as with Syl. Syl had a talent for unknowingly selecting and creating the worst-looking outfits known to man with all of its fashion ineptitude. Asri knew because the last time it had played dress up with him, it had dressed him up in the most embarassing and inappropriate outfit tha he had ever seen. "Lovely," he said, smiling, "but I like your last one better. While you may be vrey capable of killing, I don't feel that that shirt suits you. That's a strange symbol there too. Is it the symbol of another cult worshipping the supposed 'gods' of death and destruction?"
He sighed and shook his head.
"The things humans do nowadays and the stuff they make in tribute to it..."
What he didn't mention to her was that he himself was once human. A long time ago. Now all he had to do was question how much humanity he had left...
