Johnny caught the sight of the swarm of insects began to charge at them. Holding onto Veronica as tight as he could, Johnny ran towards the direction of the church. Looking back at the rest, he shouted, "Come on!".

Asri stood and shrieked in surprise when the insects came at them, stingers ready for the kill. Damn it; this was not his day. If those bugs injured him, all hell would break loose. Literally. Asri... he didn't want that... if his blood was spilled... He shuddered just thinking about it.
Without a second thought, Asri launched himself off of the tend, releasing his wings and following the group. He flew near Johnny and Veronica, matching their pace.
"Once we get to slightly safer ground," said Asri to Johnny, "I may be to able to provide something to help Veronica. I have medicines that replenish magic and vital energies; they might be of some use to her, especially in these troubled times."
He had to find sometime else to mention something about his curse. He didn't know if the others noticed, but he still held that same toxic sword in his hand. Due to difficult circumstances, he was forced to learn to use the sword, and by was fairly skilled at it, but against a whole insect army?
Without Syn and Kiel, he was not match for them without his blood demons... and he didn't want the other to see them, not here, not now, not ever!
"We have to hurry," said Asri, "if those insects catch up with us, nothing good will come of it!"
And he sincerely meant that. More so than any of the others could imagine.

Approaching the church, Johnny couldn't believe what he was looking at.
"Jesus, what did they do to this place?", Johnny murmured.
The facade was completely stipped down and replaced with white and red stripes and images of clowns replacing all the figures of saints and angels that had been etched on.
Nudging the door open with his shoulder, Johnny motioned inside to find all the different images of Jesus and the Virgin Mother replaced with... Payaso's... Clowns, fucking clowns!. There was Mr. Psycho on the cross, a clown carrying an image of Mr. Pyscho as an infant, And Jesus... All the angels and saints were replaced with images of Tommy and Mr. Happy.
Johnny laid Veronica down over the pew and waited for the rest to motion inside.

Tommy and Mr. Happy were still rolling around, slugging eachother with powerful green fists, when Syl started attacking Tommy relentlessly with blades. They sank into his skin, gas seeping from where the skin broke. Tommy screeched "What the hell do you think you are doing you gender-confused confuzzle-matron!?" Tommy rolled off Mr. Happy and started firing ball after ball of acidic goop at this new aggressive Syl. While Mr. Happy went after Kankure and Kiel stomping along, singing to the brutish rythm of his feet creating craters in the earth below.

"Good Lord." Fleur mumbled under her breath after seeing what happened to the church.
Her eyes scanned the place, unable to believe what she's seeing. Mr.Psycho has gone too far thi time.
"Je me sens mal." Fleur commented, expressing her utter disgust.
She tucked a few strands of her wavy blonde hair behind her right ear and sat down on the pew next to Veronica's unconscious body. Fleur wished hard for her friend to be fine.
"What do we do now, Johnny?"

Once inside the tent, Asri immediately began preparations for the medicine for Veronica. He hated the church, but at the moment it was the safest place on the block. Not for long if those insects could help it.
He took out the ingredients to his medicine, a couple of pills and one of his feathers (which he had crumpled into a powerdery form), and dropped them into a small cup before filling it with water from a bottle and swirled it around so that everthying dissolved nicely. Working quickly, he sat down next to Veronica and administered her the medicine, gently opening her mount and pouring it down her throat.
"That should help her recover from her use of magic," said Asri, "it'll take a bit of time to work, but she'll be up on her feet pretty soon after that."
He was hoping for a look of gratitude from Johnny, but sighed as he looked at the man. If Johnny didn't appreciate his assistance, he may as well leave this group and help Syn and Kiel with their fight. Ingrateful humans... that was something that Asri disliked but was forced to put up with on a daily basis, to the point where he had become accustomed to it. He worried for Syn and Kiel, but he knew that there was nothing he could do to help, not now, at least.
"What do we do now, Johnny?"
Asri turned his head towards the French lady.
"Oh, that's easy," he said, "we can hide here until the attackers breach the walls and kill all of us, go out and fight those insects and watch all hell break loose, use tactics to whittle down their numbers, use the corridors underneath the church to escape to another location and then go find that madman's homebase or just wait and see if anyone can come up with something brilliant."
He sighed, crossing his arms and legs, tapping his foot nervously. He didn't want to be here, but he had no choice.

She was slowly going stir crazy. All of the worrying about the angels the Almighty was supposedly sending after her had sent Selice into a paranoid frenzy. But in her paranoid state she hadn't left her newly remodeled homeexcept to visit Asri, and it was driving her insane. "NO....I shall not live in fear any longer" she said softly. Selice walked into her bedroom and started to get changed, slipping in to a simple long sleeve black shirt and a pair of baggy black cargo pants. She tied her hair in a pony tail and slid on her gloves before strapping her cricket bat to her back. After a quick check in her mirror she made her way down stairs and walked out of the house, closing and locking the door behind her. The angel took wing and flew off toward the center of the city at break-neck speeds, just in case someone or something decided to start following her.
Selice was almost to the Church when she saw it, the beautiful old building had been replaced by a huge circus tent. She stopped in mid flight, hovering in space for a few moments, taking in the horrible sight. Anger burned in her eyes. "They shall pay for desecrating this Holy Building" she whispered softly. Selice drew her cricket bat, allowing it to turn back into the scythe. She dived towards the earth, her scythe gleaming. She noticed the swarm of bugs that surrounded the church just in time to slice one down the middle before it could sting her. "what in the name of the Father are these things?" she whispered. Several of the bugs turned on her and quickly began to swarm her, trying to take down the angel as quickly as possible. Not today, vile pests. Thou shalt not taste my blood without a fight on my behalf she growled, her voice taking on a terrifying ethereal edge.

Johnny returned from the back of the church. "Ok, the back seems boarded up for the most part. Worse comes to worse, I reckon the catacombs bellow would be a good place to seek shelter and flee."
Approaching Asri, Johnny placed his hand on his shoulder and offered him a smile, "Thank you. You have no idea how much I appreciate this.".
Johnny knelt before Veronica and kissed her on the forehead. Looking at her, Johnny murmured, "I'll be back.".
Johnny placed a walkie-talkie on the pew before Veronica and said, "I'm going to find Mr. Psycho. When Veronica comes to, I reckon you guys are gonna have to do what you can. If you need me, you can contact me via the two-way radio.".
Johnny kissed Veronica one last time and headed out the church.

"I'm going to find Mr. Psycho. When Veronica comes to, I reckon you guys are gonna have to do what you can. If you need me, you can contact me via the two-way radio."
"Your not going alone." Maz said seriously, his personality still in its focused and slightly bloodthirsty state. "Your going to need magic if you even want a chance of survival, and since I'm the best magical weapon you've got, it looks like I shall be joining you."
Maz looked to his side, nodding at Viscum. Viscum didn't like the idea at all, but he knew that in Maz's current state there was nothing he could do to deter him from carrying out his plans, so Viscum simply nodded back, knowing full well that he would have to stay here and take the lead, otherwise he'd be leaving Fleur, Veronica and Asri to die. Maz took one last look at the others, settling his gaze of Fleur, offering her a small caring smile and a look that showed the most of his dashing features. Viscum walked up to Asri as Maz prepared a spell.
"You've done well my friend," Viscum said, respect present in his tone. "But I am afraid that your medical skills may yet be needed further, I hope you will not object to staying around and assisting our efforts further?"
Maz placed a hand on the wall of the now twisted church and wordlessly cast a powerful spell. Instantly an invisible barricade surrounded the now almost unrecognizable building, blocking any intruders from entering while allowing others to leave if they needed to. After that Maz stood up and with a determined look in his eye walked towards Johnny.
"How about we get to work."

Rosa returned Chrystabelle's hug, a small smile gracing her face as she did so. She nodded when Chrystabelle suggested that they leave, knowing that she would need to both protect Chrystabelle and keep an eye on Gaudi at the same time. However, before they got a chance to walk away a rogue swarm of insects that had broken away from the main pack hurtled towards them. Rosa jumped in front of Chrystabelle and Guadi and placed her hands out in front of her, a wave a fire shooting out of her hands and roasting the insects, turning them into ash.
"If we're going to leave," Rosa shouted back at the other two with a ferocity in her voice. "Then I suggest we do so now!"

Fleur furrowed her eyebsorws after hearing the new guy, Asri's, sarcastic remarks. She sensed that he felt uneasy inside the church, or maybe he was afraid of what's lurking outside it's walls, like everyone else.
She turned her head and caught sight of that boy called Maz. He smiled at her, almost as if saying that everything's gonna be okay. She fought the urge to look else where out of embarrassment. Fleur blushed and smiled back at him.
She watched him chanting some sort of spell, a protection spell. She felt relieved. They needed someone powerful to stay with her and Veronica, especially if Johnny and Maz would be leaving to hunt down Mr.Psycho. Fleur figured that the Asri fellow might have powers enough to protect them.
Fleur's well aware of her ability's limitations. It's not like she can use them to command the insects not to attack. It only works for humans, as far as she's aware.

A surge of magical energy filled the air as Selice continued to fight off the swarms of bugs. The sudden burst of energy took held of her attention for a moment, only a moment, but in that moment a bug managed to stab it's syringe like stinger into her left shoulder. Selice cried out shrilly, swinging her scythe towards the bug, slicing the vile demon in half. Selice took a moment to assess the wound. It didn't seem life threatening, so she paid it little heed.
A look of determination took over Selice's face, she wasn't going to let these bugs draw her blood again if she could help it. Selice ripped the glove from her right hand, holding her silver scythe in her left. Her large black wings spread and she took off at full speed towards an on coming swarm of insects. She weaved in and out of the bugs, slashing and touching whatever she could, trying to take out as many pf the nasty little creatures as possible.

Asri smiled at Viscum, and lowered his head, a sign of modesty on his part.
"Thank you, kind sir," he said, "I'd be glad to help, knowing that my medical supplies won't go to waste. They are finite in quantity, so I cannot afford to waste them. Especially since I cannot procure more if there is none to be found."
He meant those words truthfully. Asri wasn't willing to waste anything. His bag carred more supplies that most would expect, but they were limited. It came to the point where carrying it around too much put a small strain on his energy. But if he could help others with it, so be it. Normally Asri would more readily lend his help, but when his supplies were limited, he had to set his priorities straight. He wanted badly to go and see Syn and Kiel, to help them, but with those bugs outside and Maz's shield, as well has the group counting on him, it was impossible now, especially since... Selice was there.
Asri then looked up at the cieling of the church, in Selice's direction. He could sense her fighting nearby. That aura... he wouldn't forget it. And that surge of magical energy was a dead giveaway too.
"Selice," whispered Asri, "she's outside, fighting those insects..."

Zachery was to distracted by the upcoming noise of rushing water to notice the quick lunge from his enemy’s hand. It connected with his throat, hard, causing him to choke out as a disturbing image entered his head upon contact.
: : Memory Fragment : :
“Zachery! Help!” A girl’s voice cried out, splattered with her siblings blood. A mangled body lay cast aside on the ground, shredded, torn and dead. Black hair astray cast her shoulders and face, covering the frightened lifeless eyes of Zachery’s sister. He looked up, seeing his other sibling backing up towards him, crying out for him to do something as a twisted demented figure walked towards them. He looked just a kid, but was a manifestation of Satan himself. His hair was long and dark, covered in black cloaking that sways like water. Eyes entirely black with two glowing red rings to indicate his eyes, staring at them, grinning sadistically. Blood lusted demon child. Coming closer with a large sword in hand.
“Zachery! Please help! Do something!” the girl in front of him cried out. Her hair braided and only looked to be about twelve. Her face splattered in blood of her sister, cheeks stained with tears and eyes filled with terror. The child quickly lashed out, tearing into the girl’s frame and shoving his hand down her open chest, pulling her spine into view, his sharp tooth grin widened as he saw the fear written all over Zachery’s face. -----------------
Zachery hit the edge of the boat as he coughed, trying to regain his breath from the hit he had taken from the Shadow Z and from the disturbing memory. He rubbed his throat from the pain and looked up just as an axe came sailing his way, sounding as if slicing through air. Zachery quickly ducked, the silver axe, crashing strait through the boat’s siding and into the acid. Bubbling and melting away into the fiery of the caste aflame river of acid and chemical. He shifted positions onto his knee and lifted his head, noticeably sweating and fatigued at the moment. He had recovered just in time to see Shadow Z cast aflame the river and disappear within the quivering shadows of the tunnel, and also to barely miss the axe by a fraction of an inch. He is a lucky Bastard, one might say.
He forced himself up with a subtle angry expression on his face. Quickly, in a soft spoken voice, he chanted out the words of a spell in his own language, “Ien bru eshtie eori unqe scienties ovi gurtha, Yulda agar eshtie mieth cotumo izil eori quanta rien orna mieth brueteth!”, The words he spoke were “I call out upon the six petals of swift death, drawing blood upon my enemies as the full moon will rise to my calling!”. Zachery's ancient tongue was completely unpronounceable by any of them, but somehow, they all understood. White smoky residue poured from Zachery’s body in large amounts, clouding around the flames over the river and sucking their life energy, the warmth further being drained from the fired until they were doused, the thick fog like substance hung around the tunnel, quivered like thousands of tendrils and snakes.
A sharp smile came from Zachery, a flash of murderous intent in his eyes. “Ethuliu” he spoke, the word easy to comprehend as six spears for each clown came from the mist, reigning down onto the clowns. Striking their limbs and piercing into the boat, binding some of their movements as others died upon contact due to their head being decapitated or falling out of the boat from the powerful strikes. Zachery smirked and raised his hand. “Fireutenai” the clowns cast upon flames, their screeching laughter consuming the tunnel as their slowly burned to death. Zachery was pulled out of his enjoyment of killing them when a painful feeling struck his injured foot. His vision cast down, seeing the liquid pouring forth from the boat’s hulls. He let out an agonizing cry of pain as the liquid ate at his foot. He leapt away from the sinking boat, jumping into the other as the talking one sank into the abyss of chemicals.
Zachery collapsed as soon as he touched the still afloat boat, his foot burning and smoking from the contact with the poisonous waters. The pain excruciating as the liquid seared through his wounds. He lay on his side for a moment, panting and groaning as the pain was unbearable. How it felt as if someone was slowly tearing his flesh and muscle away. He sat up on the boat, leaning against the edge as he examined his foot, it was slowly deteriorating. Zachery quickly set his hand in flames and hovered his hand near his foot, letting the purple goop slowly evaporating, as all liquids do, but burning his flesh along with it. He grimaced and gritted his teeth as he pulled his hand away, unable to bear any more of the pain.
He was so engulfed within the current problem, he couldn’t notice the cursing and yelling of the sinking boat that was shouting at him with terrible names and swearing at him. Zachery continued in his solution until the liquid was gone, leaving his foot bleeding terribly and burned down to the muscle. He wouldn’t be able to walk well with his foot in this condition, much less fight. He pried through his jean pockets, pulling what was left of his bandages, which wasn’t much. Asarek had lent them to him back at the church where they had first met. He didn’t use all of it, and kept it with him just in case something like this should happen.
Zachery tenderly wrapped his foot, wincing everything the cloth touched his sensitive skin. He tied it off since he hadn’t much skill in perfectly wrapping it, then stood up, holding the siding of the boat as he had the tip of his toes of his injured foot gently resting on the rough wood of the flooring of the boat, unable to completely rest his foot on the hard surface just yet, as why he was holding the edge of the boat to keep himself upright. The boat lulled across the waters, passing by the destroyed boat’s remains and kept following the flow of the poisonous deathly purple river.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kankure was utterly disgusted as he was covered with snot from Mr. Happy. He was speechless really, unable to say anything as Syn began to attack Tommy, throwing strange daggers at him. As the clown was preoccupied with the newly aggressive Syn, he pried his way from Tommy’s hand with the help of his new ‘lubricant’. He slipped from his grasp and fell to the ground a few stories, landing on his feet for a moment but collapsing on one knee as the pain surged through his leg from the impact. He knew little of his strengths, powers, or even how much he could endure. All of it lay in secrets around him, slowly pacing themselves to break from the chains of his memory loss. It had been at least two weeks now that he had been here, but little improvement was seen to him regaining his hidden pasts. All of it shrouded within dark clouds to prevent him from knowing.
Kankure gasped a bit as the pain immobilized him, unable to get up, unable to try and go on. He sat for a moment, wiping some of the goop from himself when he noticed Mr. Happy had taken up interest in him and Kiel. He quickly stood up, but was uneasy on his feet, the pain surging through his leg and side with each small movement. Kankure bit his lip, hard, drawing some blood as he tried to let the pain subside. He didn’t know what to do. Quickly, he turned, limping away at a fast past and stumbling every so often, the pain increasing after each step to the point the cried out softly to each spiked pain. It was unbearable, but he had to keep himself safe from Mr. Happy as Syn fought Tommy, or else he would just be a nuisance and dead weight.
For now, his sights were on to get to the safety of the man that had addressed himself as Kiel Kazarashi. He was only a few hundred feet from him, and Kankure was set on getting to Kiel and away from Mr. Happy and Tommy.

Stepping out the church, Johnny lit a cigarette and noticed Viscum coming his way. Walking down what was once Iver. St, Johnny said, "I'm glad to see you can join me, but this is something I have to do alone. I can feel Psycho calling out to me... He's in everything I see, everything I do, and he's everywhere I turn... Taunting me, calling out to me... Holding up and exciting images of something I thought I left behind. I have to face it, man...".
<***>
Veronica awoke slowly. Rising up, Veronica reached her arm to the pew across and motioned herself up. Veronica took a look at Maz, Fleur, and Asri; coming to a conclusion, she said, somewhat groggily, "Johnny left, didn't he?".
Veronica didn't wait for an answer, she figured it was a rather rhetorical question to ask anyway. Walking through the church, she noticed the changes that were made to her church and the figures and images of Psycho, Happy, and Tommy that had replaced the ones that belonged to her God; she couldn't take it any longer.
Motioning into the backroom of the church, Veronica withdrew a lighter from her pocket and lit the candelabra nearby. Slipping off her blazer, Veronica took notice of the small bump growing inside her. Pressing the bump, she murmured, "I swear once I have you, I'm never letting you go.".
Veronica took a duffel bag and motioned towards a rack of guns, ammunition, and vials. With the city being what it was, Johnny and Veronica stocked the church with everything they needed; making sure they were prepared for anything. Veronica took guns, boxes of ammo, and more than a dozen vials from the rack and placed them inside the bag.
Heading back to the center of the church, Veronica dropped her bag before them and addressed the group. "I've come to realize that not all of us can naturally posses magic, which is why I want people to take what they can from this bag. While it might not kill whatever is out there, it should hold them back long enough for us to do what we can."
Veronica opened the bag and equiped herself with a 45. Desert Eagle, Johnny's standard of choice, a riffle, and vials.
"We either have two options, we can follow Johnny or we can find another way to get Sara.", Veronica cut herself off as she listened to the noises come from the roof of the church. Veronica loaded the riffle and motioned outside.
Looking up, she found a swarm of, God help her, locusts buzzing the roof with Selice fighting them off. Veronica aimed and began shooting the incests; if they didn't die, she was hoping it would provide the angel with a distraction to get outside.
New plan: Gather everyone and head into the catacombs bellow, from there, make a run for it.
<***>
Gaudi smiled at the cutle little work the other girl had done. He walked casually behind her and Chrystabelle. Opening his palms, he created a vortex and spread it over himself and the two girls. The vortex led the three through a deep channel of darkness. Falling through, Gaudi rolled up his eyes and began chanting , relishing in the feeling of free falling through what can best be described as a bottomless pit.
Gaudi landed softly over a paved road of grass. Opening up his palms, he lit the darkened area to reveal a brick tunnel before them. Nodding towards it, he looked at the two and said, "This way...".
Making his way through the tunnel, he could hear the muzzle sound of a scream that only belonged to a pathetic little being; It has awoken... It must be calling...

She knew Veronica wouldn't listen to her, especially when it involves Johnny. Fleur understood Veronica's need to follow Johnny and fight side by side with him...until the end. Her blue eyes were glued to Veronica the entire time. Veronica dropped a duffel bag full of weapons on the church floor and ordered them to arm themselves. They were going to war again, this time, against some magical being called Mr.Psycho. Fleur was the first to rummage through the bag to find something that she can use. Some of the weapons looked new to her. She equipped herself with an MP10. She swung the the leather belt that came with it across her shoulder, like a messenger bag. Fleur stepped back and waited for everyone to arm themselves.
