Veronica threw a look of confusion and digust at Arqus as she replied, "I can see that, but why is this happening." Veronica rose to look at him as she said, "Arqus, what is happening to you?"

"Arqus, what is happening to you?"
Bremmen chuckled lightly, covering his mouth with the back of his left hand.
"Oh that's right, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Bremmen, son of Hel, ruler of Helgard." The demon advised, not bothering to offer his hand for a hand shake. "I am Arqus' flat-mate."
He studied Veronica. She was looking at him in complete disbelief.

"Bremman?", Veronica shot back. "Arqus' flat-mate? What is that supposed to mean?"

Syl searched further and then found Myzrael, lying there heavily injured. He was now distintegrating... dying. Soon he would fade away completely and die. Good riddance, thought Syl, it seems as though in Animus, the annoyingness of angels is proportional to their power level. Trace certainly set that straight, no doubt that the two are strongly correlated.
It gave itself a small smile upon seeing the dying angel. Less trouble for it to deal with.
"Arqus' flat-mate? What is that supposed to mean?"
Syl couldn't resist answering, its voice caming down from the top of the building.
"They share the same body, miss Veronica. Apparently Bremmen, the son of Hel, ruler of Helgard, as he calls himself is in control of Arqus's body presently... Hmm.... I never thought that a nordic demon could find its way into Animus. We are a motley bunch indeed."
Then, the cloaked figure appeared once again, out of nowhere as it had a habit of doing. It cloaked blew in the wind as it approached Myzrael. When it was near the angel, it's hands formed a bunch of strange gestures. Syl knew that this wasn't a spell; it was a prayer.
<May peace follow you unto your final destination, dark angel, the sun shine brightly into your soul, and your Lord grant you the peace in death you've deserved,> it said, <in all the glory of the Almighty, in all the glory of death, in all the power of Lord Azrael, I wish you a peaceful afterlife should you have one, and peace knowing that you will be missed. Good bye, dark angel Myzrael. Ashen'va Elra'ais*.>
Syl gazed at the cloaked figure, incredulous. Why was it saying a prayer for an annoying dark angel?! It glanced at the demon, Bremmen, then strode towards the fallen angel.
______________________________________________________________
*Phrase said at the passing of a loved one or one that one respects, roughly meaning 'rest in peace.' The cloaked figure here is using it for its own reasons, either because it was secretly fond of Myzrael or because it respects Myzrael's power.

'I am almost gone. And in my final moments, my will shall be done..''...' *** Myzraels body completely disintregrated, leaving nothing behind. No black feathers, no shred of cloth, nothing. The crystals that flew into the air from his form caught the light and reflected it onto the ground, swathing the immediate vicinity with prismatic colors. *** A shadow formed on the ground some ways away. A form suddenly rose out of it, weakly. It was a man, with waist long blond hair. There was a covering over his eyes, however he could percieve everything clearly, possibly even more so than if he did not have such a cover to normal sight. He saw them, all of them. And he knew them. His mouth turned down into a frown. He felt their emotions. There was no care for the angel that perished. It did not matter. Whereas Myzrael was governed by emotions, he was governed by logic. He could not face them, not now. He was weakened; his last vestige of power disappeared with Myzrael. His advantage was not being in a constant state of degradation, as angels do. He slowly descended into his shadow, and disappeared from sight. 'Soon..'

"They share the same body, miss Veronica."
"Ah, interesting." Bremmen's lips formed into his usual mischievous smile. "You got me all figured out, huh?"
The demon's eyes went back to Veronica.
"For the time being, I govern Arqus' body. In exchange with me, helping the group."
Bremmen looked at the corpse of the demon Moloch and added, "And so far, I have done what I promised the mortal. I helped."
The demon's eyes travelled to Syl and commented, "Compared to some IT being I know."

Veronica shrugged as she replied to Bremman, "Thank you." She didn't have anything else to say.
Veronica approached the remains of the Moloch and noticed a trail of its blood spill down the same sewer hole that the Priestess had thrown the doll of the Ogre in. Even though they just killed it, it was to be seen again back when they ventured into the sewers for the first time. They just killed it, and yet they had previously encountered it in their own future. The blood of the Moloch could/could have been used to revive the beast.
The Priestess approached Veronica and the group and said, "There isn't much else to do now. If you want, I can find a way to get you all to return to your time."
"Thank you.", Veronica replied as she faced the Priestess. "Are you sure you can not join us?"
"We've been through this before.", The Priestess replied. "I'm needed here. I've got nothing else to live for and I intend to live out the rest of my days fighting off the plague. And besides, you will be needed."

Bremmen tapped a finger on his forehead, eyes closed, while his left hand was galantly tucked behind him.
"Please enlighten me Priestess." The demon requested, staying on his ground. "How would you exactly take us back?"

"The Seal in the forth room.", The Priestess replied. "My only concern is the Black Goat."
"I don't think he will still be there.", Veronica replied.
"What makes you say that?"
"From what I've learned, if the Goat wanted to obliterate us, he would have done it already. He only shows up when he wants to."
"Very well then, let's go."

He remembered the seal. It is where Veronica and Sara were pulled out by the Priestess and Myzrael earlier. He was hesitant. Worried that if anything goes wrong, the priestess might take them some place else. Like Helgard.
"Hold on." Bremmen halted the group. "You better make sure that 'thing' would really take us back to the Animus we came from. I would not want to end up in another dump."

"There's a spell in the book I left in the room. Its the only out that I can think of, seeing as how the tunnel has been altered.", the Priestess replied.

"Alright."
With that, Bremmen lead the way, heading back to the motel, to room number 4. He heard Arqus' small voice inside his head.
"He's dead. I can't believe he's dead."
"Pray that it remains that way." Bremmen scolded him in his thoughts. "You're better off with me anyway."
Arqus kept quiet, wondering how Animus would be like now that the dark angel's gone. He wondered if it would ever be the same. Sure they have their misunderstandings and fights, but he was officially the first "resident" who welcomed him in Animus. He challenged him. He confuses him. He made him think.
And now....
He's gone.

The Priestess and Veronica entered the room to find it in the exact same state of disarray as they had left it in. The Priestess placed Sara on the bed, before turning away to put together what she needed for the ritual. Looking at the group, she said, "Just give me a moment to put things together."

Syl watched as the blond man that Myzrael disappeared, saying its its own brief prayer.
"Rest in peace dark angel," said Syl, "after helping to defeat that hell-demon, you deserve it."
It turned to the demon by the name of Bremmen.
"You got me all figured out, huh?"
Syl shrugged.
"Not really. I have less knowledge on nordic demons than with hell-demons, and besides, you may be unique; beyond any classification. You're a curiosity to me, Bremmen."
It then walked away from Bremmen and towards Veronica. It was now worried about their relationship... what would Veronica think now that it failed to show up when they were in the middle of a fight, when they needed all the help they could get? It was worried.
It followed her into the room where the priestess would began to prepare for some ritual.
Syl quickly caught up with Veronica.
"Miss Veronica? Can I speak with you?"

Veronica turned to Syl and replied, "Sure."
The Priestess, meanwhile, gathered what she needed and began praying. "I return to you, my most holy Father, as an incarnation of the woman you granted the will as your daughter..."
