"Miss Veronica," whispered Syl, so that the demon Bremmen wouldn't be able to hear it, "I... I'm sorry that I arrived too late. Please forgive me. I really don't like fighting, so I...."
It trailed off, looking away.
"I'm sorry."
It sincerely hoped that Veronica had no resentment towards it, because it knew that this would not be the last time this would happen, that it would deliberately avoid a fight for the sake of its own safety.

Veronica smiled at Syl and replied, "Its fine. I was just the same as you are now when I first came here. This city toughened me." Veronica reached her arm over Syl's shoulder and continued, "If anything, I'm just glad you are alight."
"It's ready.", The Priestess said.
Veronica turned around to see a small portal leading to room four at another time opened up. Veronica looked at the Priestess and said, "I guess this is it, then?"
The Priestess smiled as she always did, nodding her reply, "Yes."
Veronica motioned to the bed and kissed Sara. Gazing down upon her as she ran her fingers over Sara's hair, she murmured, "How I wish I could have known you longer."
Veronica rose to the bed and approached the portal.
"Hey, Veronica!", The Priestess called out.
"Yeah?"
"Just one last thing.", The Priestess said she walked up to Veronica and handed her a set of keys. "Take this."
"What's this for?"
"Home.", The Priestess said softly as she placed the keys on Veronica's hand.
Veronica took the keys and embraced the Priestess. "You have no idea how grateful I am to have met you."
"Likewise.", The Priestess replied as she motioned off Veronica. "Now go, there isn't much time."
Veronica turned around and nodded. Approaching the portal, a shadow passed Veronica and slipped quietly into the portal.
Veronica stopped.
"What's the matter?", the Priestess asked from behind.
"Oh, nothing." Veronica replied as she looked back and turned her head. "I guess I just need to lie down or something..."
The past's getting to me. All the answers I've been looking for came to me all too suddenly... It's overwhelming, really.
My eyes must be playing tricks on me.
Johnny... I just want to go back... I just want to find you.
Veronica took a deep breath as she slipped into the portal. Veronica turned back and flashed the Priestess a smile and a wave.
The Priestess looked back at the rest as she replied, "Hurry."

Syl watched as the portal formed, perplexed. Why did the priestess so easily create a portal when such a spell was often extremely expensive? Humanity sure is confusing, thought Syl, maybe it's better if I have some time to myself to think about this.
Syl stepped toward the portal after Veronica, only intending to go into after her. This place is really nice, thought Syl, but it's not right for me to be here. I don't belong here, it thought, Perhaps I'll find some nature on the outskirts of the present city.
It watched the city from the window. It still looked peace, but Syl couldn't shake the feeling of foreboding that it felt. There was just the eerie feeling that something bad was going to happen to the past version of Animus.

Bremmen jumped in the portal, not saying a word.
Arqus mean while, felt sad. He was leaving the "time" where Myzrael died and he knew when they get back to the old Animus, Myzrael wouldn't be there.
"I hope the clown's there." Arqus thought, referring to Tommy. "He makes me laugh sometimes."
"Drama..." Bremmen groaned.

Veronica stood in room four... This was where Johnny was headed to. The room stood in a state of disarray. Veronica wondered, for a moment, what must have happened here.
"Veronica, this is Johnny... Can you hear me?"
The sound came from the walkie-talkie. Veronica's heart began to race as she reached for it and replied. "Johnny! Yes! I can hear you!"
Veronica motioned out of room four to see Johnny facing away from her. She could just grab him.
"Roth, I'm headed towards the church for you."
"There's no need.", Veronica spoke into the talkie as she neared him.
"Why?"
"Because I'm right behind you."
Johnny turned around with a smile as Veronica threw her arms around him.
<***>
The Priestess stayed as the portal closed. Suddenly, she felt helpless and alone.
The Priestess shook off the feeling, picked Sara up, and headed back to the Church.

He waited for them all to depart and for the portal to close before making his presence in the shadows known to the Priestess as she entered the Church.
"So, they are the future of Animus?"

"Hello Trace.",
The Priestess saw greeted him with a soft smile as she lay Sara's body on the pew. It stunned her how she was able to keep going when everything inside her was hurting.
"It appears they are. Sara's visions were correct after all."

The figure walked out from the shadows, revealing himself to be a seemingly younger version of Trace, unhidered by hellish thoughts of Hell that have yet to happen.
"It appears they are. Sara's visions were correct after all."
"Yes, I believe they were. The one looked just like you, your Descendant maybe?"

"Even closer.", The Priestess replied, "She is the Verus Statua, the True Image."

"Your sure? And I missed out on the chance to meet her." the younger Trace said with a grin "well, you look like you've been busy though." he spoke as he looked over the carnage of what appeared to be a recent fight.

"I am certain." The Priestess replied as she lifted Sara and opened the door. "Looks like we are not going to hold on for longer."

"No, the Goat is getting stronger by the day. We will soon be overrun. But I will fight until my last breath to keep Sara safe, you know that. No matter what he throws at me I'll have to be sent to hell before I give up."

"Can you not see, brother?" The Priestess began. "Sara has passed. She is the first fall."

"You know that is not what I meant my sister. We can not allow the Black Goat to get his hands on her before her soul has passed. He is strong enough now, emagine what he could do with the soul of an innocent."
Before she could answer a man ran directly through the church doors. His face was bloody, large scratch marks engraved into the side of his skull, evenidence from a recent battle.
"They're attacking again. The Goat and his army. And they've got someone new with them, something which we have never seen before."

"We must act now." The Priestess replied. "Before anything, we have to find a way to release Sara's spirit or keep it."
