Johnny stood from a distance as he watched the exchange between Veronica and Gaudi when he felt Fleur's hand creep up his arm. Turning back at her, Johnny asked, "What's wrong?".

“And with the death of an Angel, the Dimension Of Purity shall open... Then Elizabeth and I will finally be free from this world of corruption...” Mr. Psycho smiled sweetly, his form of purity continued to shine brightly. He looked down at Sara. “Soon Animus will be fully consumed...” He added, as outside Animus was being destroyed, crumbling away slowly. Being sacrificed for purity.

Fleur gave Johnny a worried look. "Gaudi" as the stranger called himself, was standing too close, and might get to hear what she'd tell Johnny. She kept a hand wrapped on his arm, as if afraid to let go.
"I've seen him..." She mumbled to him.

Chrystabelle smiled at Gaudi's warm greeting, but quickly adopted a look of puzzlement as she gazed at Veronica. It had been just that morning since she had last seen her, and now she was accompanied by Johnny and a blond woman she had never met, looking worse for wear than before. She didn't understand much of what Gaudi was saying, but she figured it would be explained soon enough.

Viscum's black mist had now completely engulfed the church, Viscum's high pitched laughter hearable throughout Animus as the earth below the church shook. Suddenly the black mist began to drag the church down into the ground with Tommy, Mr. Happy and Viscum still inside. It wasn't long before the entire church had vanished, dragged into the depths of hell beneath them. A large hole took its place, the inside a bottomless pit of the black mist. Almost immediately afterward however the ground reformed itself, leaving just a hollow emptiness where the church had once been.

Mazrin appeared in a flash of white light just steps away from the crowd of people that Rosa had accompanied herself with. He scanned the area, noticing Fleur's posture and apparent apprehension. There was a new presence with them, one that he didn't like for an instance. But it didn't matter to him right now, he had absorbed so much magic from Mr. Psycho's demented creations that he was literally coursing with the stuff, his eyes now a cloud of colors.
"Why are you people just standing around?" Mazrin questioned, power evident in his voice. "I believe we have a psychopath to slaughter."

"Who is he?", Johnny asked Fleur as he motioned their way close to Veronica.

Gaudi turned back to the stranger approaching them, the one he knew as Mazrin, and replied, "I was just getting to that. As you can see, the three standing before me arrived from a rather short, yet interesting trip." Gaudi faced Veronica and her companions again. "Up there, Mr. Psycho is on the brink of destroying Animus in his quest for purity. Veronica, your daughter is up there with him and would certainly be the first casualty if we do not get there first. His tower is filled with mind games and traps, which is why, I suggest a shortcut.".
Gaudi faced the building and opened up a portal.
Motioning inside, he said, "We must hurry.".

Before Fleur could respond to Johnny's question, Mazrin appeared out of nowhere. Suddenly, Fleur let go of Johnny and she felt relieved of Maz's presence.
She heard Gaudi, telling them to hurry as he created a portal for them to enter. Fleur made a mental note to herself to tell Johnny or Veronica about Gaudi, IF they would all survive this war with Mr.Psycho.
Keeping quiet, she followed the others as they entered the portal, off to face the psychotic ring leader of this circus.

It was only much later when Syl, Asri, Kiel and Kure emerged from the dim corners of the city, normal but otherwise exhausted. Kure had kept his new outfit, Syl had managed to lose the ears and tail, Kiel got its usual outfit back, Asri had thankfully switched his dress for a nice shirt, blazer and pair of pants. It wasn’t easy though, as Animus was devastated, but Asri managed to find some more fitting clothes. Which were black, white and purple… as per Kiel’s wishes… for what demented reason? That was a mystery to Asri. He knew Kiel well, but some of its actions and thoughts were really a mystery. Kiel was very good at reading auras and body language… and at concealing its true thoughts behind a smile.
Syl was now dragging Kure along behind it, clinging quietly onto his arm, as it watched its family. After all that insanity, all it wanted was some alone time with Kure. It loved Kiel and Asri as well, but… it just wanted to sit down and talk with Kure, for him to tell them about all their adventures in the past… It looked up at him, sighing, wishing that he was more chatty, like its other siblings. Animus was a mess, glass and rubble were everythere, and the bodies of the mindless were strewn across the ground. It terrified Syl to the point where it spent a good chunk of its time clinging to Kure, tears streaming done its eyes.
Feelings of helplessness rushed through it as it watched the cries and moans of the people in the city echo through. It was just like last time… The same feelings of helplessness and internal disappointment that had almost driven it mad were now returning…
Kiel was aware of Syl’s feelings, but it knew that now was not the right time to set its sibling straight. It had other plans to take care of. In fact, it was strangely cheery and chipper… something that set off a red alarm on Syl. Kiel… was up to something. And from the looks of it, it only had the welfare of its family in mind. What Kiel was up to was a mystery, as was its nature.
“Come now, that was one fun adventure!” said Kiel, smiling.
Asri glared at Kiel, scowling.
“We should think about what to get Syl for its birthday, Kiel. Knowing you, you’ll drag me into another dimension all over again! Probably to some fairy tale world where I’ll be forced to cross-dress again.”
“Come now,” said Kiel grinning, playfully pulling at his cheek like a little kid. A grown up little kid. “Is it my fault that you happen to look good in a dress? Besides, I kinda miss the reactions of the knights in shining armour when they rescued the princess only to find that ‘she’ is actually another man. Their expressions were truly priceless. Remember what happened when Kellyon walked in when you were bathing?”
Asri growled and slapped Kiel, pushing it away. Asri remembered Kellyon, the human dragonslayer that was instrumental in finally getting rid of Triondatus… an ancient red dragon that apparently had a strange fascination with pink princesses. Especially if they were virgins. Unfortunately, Asri was disguised as one of them and sent to appease the dragon… It all went downhill from there. And it didn’t help that Kellyon thought that he was a woman as well.
“Shut it Kiel! You’re insane, you know that?!”
“Insane in a good way,” said Kiel, “who was the one that coded that saved your sorry hide too many times to count? Who enchanted that bag so that you could even lift it when it’s full of supplies? Who–”
“I get it!”
“Yeah, yeah. You do realize that I won’t let you get together with that woman.”
“Kiel! Can I have the freedom to chose who I love?!”
Kiel laughed.
“Of course you have the freedom. The problem is that you make horrible choices when it comes to relationships.”
“Please, Kiel, give me a chance!” said Asri, his eyes becoming teary, “maybe she’ll be the exception! Maybe she will break the cycle.”
Kiel sighed and cross its arms.
“If I could take away the hormones in your brain, we wouldn’t be talking about this. I know you Asri, and if protecting you means breaking her heart, so be it. I’ll do anything to protect my family, and if it involves hurting someone else, so be it. As long as you and Syl are alright and happy, so am I. I look at the big picture, Asri. The happiness you have with that angel will only be a leaf in the wind.”
Kiel then smiled and slung its arm over his shoulder, kissing him on the cheek before turning around and walking the opposite direction. Asri knew what this meant, Syl as well.
“WellI, I’d love to elaborate, but I’m afraid that my time’s been cut short. I’ll be right back,” it said, “business. If you need me, just give me an advance warning. Sorry about this… it tends to spring up at unexpected times.”
Winds swirled around Kiel, and when they subsided, it was gone.
Asri sighed, his shoulders slumped downwards, his expression exasperated. Kiel had a habit of disappearing sometimes, because of its ‘business.’ Which partly involved doing Azrael’s bidding on Animus. Good joy. Now he was stuck protecting Syl and Kure against the horrors that would later besiege them. How? Asri was weak, weak, weak… he worried that he wasn’t strong enough to watch over Syl. But… it was something that he needed to do. He continued to lead them through the city, paying minimal attention to their surroundings, not even knowing where he was goning.
“Come on,” said Asri, as he tugged Syl along. “the group isn’t far off. I can sense their auras at the edge of my range.”
His range, needless to say, was small compared with Syl. However, ever since Syl lost most of its analytical ability, it was Asri and Kiel that had to pick up the slack. They had to cooperate in formulating backup plans in case anything went horribly wrong. Which often did happen.
Asri led Syl and Kure towards the group, running towards them, not paying much attention to their surroundings. He didn’t want to feel any worse than Syl… even if he was fairly used to them, he wasn’t a fan of devastation and death either.
“What’s going on?!” yelled Asri, eyes wide, panting heavily, “what happened to the city?!”
Syl, meanwhile, stood beside Asri, clinging to Kure, quietly sobbing.

Johnny and Veronica watched as the portal formed.
Johnny approached Veronica and asked, "How is he?".
"I don't know.", Veronica replied. "But I feel like I can't trust him."
"Neither do I.", Johnny replied.
Taking her hand, Johnny took Veronica and motioned through the portal.

The portal ended inside the Mr. Psycho’s tent, where a huge circus ring was set up with the menace himself waiting in the centre. “Well hello there Residents of my circus! I see that you all have been enjoying it thoroughly… And that’s great, because you’re about to witness the final act!” He screamed, his hysterical laughter following shortly after him. He was now back in his normal form, dressed in full ringmaster gear, top hat included. His smile was at its sharpest.

Johnny held Veronica as they stood in the center of the tent and looked at Mr. Psycho. Approaching him, Johnny shouted, "Where's Sara?".

“Never fear Johnny dear, she is safe. She is with my love; I could not let her bare witness to any of this…” He began to laugh and than abruptly stopped, “Things will get ugly since you are standing between me and complete purity.” He said this with the fires of torture burning within his eyes. “I’ve lost it once, and I swear I will not loose it again baby cakes!” He roared, potent purity was shining out of his mouth as he spat out every single word.

Veronica approached him in asked, "Purity? Is that what all this is to you, purity?".

Standing in the center of the portal, Gaudi kept his eye on what was going on. He turned back and faced the city, calling out to the residents before him. "If you want to help put an end to this madness, then I suggest you join us on the other side, because with that's about to fall, you people would have played a catalytic role in the destruction of this city.".

Rosa and Mazrin stepped through the portal, both ready for a fight. It wasn't a case of if it came down to violence, it was only a case of when. Before they could do or say anything on the other side of the portal however a black mist flew through Animus at lighting speed, ripping through the streets and straight into the portal. The mist came though the portal and fully formed on the other side, revealing Viscum, still rippling with a great deal of the demonic energy that he ripped the church down with. When he spoke, his words rippled with demonic energy, sending chills through everyone present, including his siblings.
"Well, I've already torn apart the church and vanquished those wretched clowns." Viscum said, almost gleefully, staring at Mr. Psycho. "I guess your next!"

Asri didn't hesitate to drag Syl and Kure into the portal as well, sighing. Not only would it get them both away from the horrid scenery, but it would also give Syl the chance to finally step forwards and do something... provided, of course, if Asri remembered how to activate Syn. It was a while since he was last forced to do that; it was usally Kiel who had the honour of activating Syl's other personas.
Syl now clung to Asri, burying its head in his chest.
"What do we do now?"
Asri hugged Syl tightly, standing close to Kure.
"We wait, until we are needed or until that madman attacks us," said Asri softly. "I need the time to think."
"About what?"
Asri smiled.
"Hush, I still need to write your next bedtime story."
In truth... he was preparing for the inevitable. Asri considered calling Kiel, but wondered if it would make it in time before the portal closed...
